We picked up our Original Topo in December. We have loved the added simplicity to our camping experience that the Escapod TOPO1 has offered us. I don't think I passed on many upgrades but the three that I appreciate the most to date are: 1. Propane heater, Tongue box, and freeride suspension. Honorable mention to the Dometic Fridge/freezer. Thanks Team Escapod for producing such a great product.

I hope that the original can still be purchased when I'm ready to move forward. It's the only teardrop model that has my interest. Despite many differences, I think making slight improvements to the original is a better way to go. For example, if any changes, adding a small sink with a pivoting spout in the galley, and offer a stainless steel attachment that covers the basin when the sink is not being used so no counter space is lost. If feasible, a small air conditioning option, perhaps increasing the stargazer window, keep increasing power options... The original teardrop was an immediate sell for me. I personally find the body mold of the TOPO2 unappealing and a turn off, and compared to the complete birch interior in the original the interior of the TOPO2 is unattractive as well. If my attention hadn't been drawn to the Original TOPO, I wouldn't have given the replacement a second look. Sorry, just some critical feedback from one interested customer. Hope we can do business in the future.
@@s.a.m.3575 Topo original is discontinued. You will only find one used. I felt the same way about the TOPO 2 until I went and saw one in person. It is amazingly well designed and really just gorgeous inside and out. Cant wait to get one now.
