Can’t say any of these bikes appeal to me with a Bentley tag nor the MV Augusta to be honest , I’d rather the standard bikes from Ducati and MV Augusta , they look far better and aren’t a ridiculously stupid price for a bike that looks like crap ( the MV Augusta model ) , hope your feeling well and still on the mend Matt , cheers for all the entertaining content this year from both you and Don , look forward to see your show in the new year.

Of course you haven't, because haven't got any.
Anyone with a normal level of IQ is able to easily understand what was meant in that quote. It uses the important history of MV Agusta, the technical basis of today's products which are for sale, and just like concept cars it is a study into what future design might be like. And the project was done with a pop artist so the design direction of that concept-like bike (but fortunately in the bike world it's possible to actually sell them, not just tuck them away into museums) is naturally pop art.

Two thoughts:
I have owned a corroded bike, but nobody thought it was art. It also only cost me a few hundred USD.
My current bike is a limited edition in that they only made a few thousand the year it was made. They made a few thousand the year after as well. I don't have a number badge noting which it was in that year, but basically every bike is a limited run. It's just not exclusive like these bikes. Oh well, It's my bike and I like it.

Matt, I couldn’t agree more. I’d rather take the extra cash and put on some updated Ohlins and a full titanium Akrapovic system, at least I’d be able to point out exactly what I got for my money. Interesting design on the MV, definitely belongs in the art studio. Matt I’ve been watching all the videos of all the new releases, I see Indian Sport Chief didn’t get a mention and Harleys new Street Glide CVO and Road Glide CVO. Harley Mzansi has a beautiful new shop, would be cool to have a story about it. Local content is lekker 😉 anyway thanks for the videos and I hope you are keeping strong and well.

I had to comment because I wanted to say thank you for calling out these collaboration bikes for ridiculous amounts of money. The MV is normally a beautiful bike but those cut outs ruin it. I don't know, I guess I just have no class.

I hope Ducati will consider some kind of partnership with Dacia, at some point. The bike wouldn't be more interesting, but could be cheaper. But seriously, those rebranded bikes are the epitomy of bad taste. There is nothing right with them.
Presumably the Bentley bike will be bought by a lot of old people.....Low mileage and plenty of polish if nothing else😂
Try explaining to the Guys on Bike Night WTF are those Rocks doing in your Bike ??, You tell them, "It's an "Arsham"", they Say..."Who ??, What" ???, they finish laughing at you and ride away....
They look appealing for art collectors not riders I guess. 😅

Guess we’ll be seeing a Ducati TDI. TT QUATTRO Convertable next?? You have to admire the marketing people, Lamborghini,now Bentley and the R/S🙄. An easy way to make money ,put a badge on it. Doesn’t do it for me . I like Ducatis to have the R version , S version sometimes an SP . Stays with the history of Ducati , I can’t help feeling it somehow cheapens the marque.
The current company pretending to be Ducati (=Volkswagen) has no history.
All the famed bikes from Ducati were developed, engineered and designed by Cagiva= MV Agusta.
Volkswagen just does marketing to create fake 'Mickey-Mouse' desirability and then has their financing giant churn out those cynical products.

I am a Ducati owner but I am with you on this. All this overpriced limited editions do nothing for the brand image in my view, especially as they are just tarted up standard models.
Well, coming from a Ducati owner (Ducati=Volkswagen, a totally fake and cynical marketing-psy-ops and financial-might-and-corruption-based behemoth) that's pretty strange to hear.
MV Agusta's special editions take away NOTHING from the normal bike range, but provide funds for the company to develop those normal bike ranges. Not to mention all companies make concept vehicles anyway, I'd think it's better to make these functional small-series bikes than do what the auto industry does with their concept cars which never go on sale and usually aren't even really functional.

By the way, I own many diffent brand bikes from Ducati to Ural, and I take each on its own merits, irrespective of the maker, but I have them to use, not just to ornament my home.
I have no doubt that these specials bring in money, but that is not the issue here as far as I, a normal biker, am concerned. In both these cases of limiteds the phrase "cynical marketing psy-ops" applies; they serve the purpose of growing coffers, but not of enhancing brand image in my view.

Absolutely no-one cares what bikes you claim to own, be it shitty russian junk or shitty Volkswagen cheap plastic junk which their marketing department got you to buy.
Your word salad had no content. You couldn't even verbalise what you supposedly have against such specials. They literally don't take anything away from you or the normal bikes they sell...the exact opposite: they have massively high profit margins which aids in the company's finances, allowing them to have a higher budget in their R&D, production, etc.
As you admitted: they bring in money. End of story. That PROVES them to be a good idea.

These 'specials' are frankly, crap.
Those bicycles with fancy bits are kind of disgusting. In case some think I exaggerate the description, Bently has made a gawdy turn into tacky and motorcycle art has just become impressionist. Ducati wins the bullshit award this time with prices intended for the stupid and (tasteless?) wealthy. I wonder now if there could be 500 stupid people who are well to do?
The Ducati looks fantastic but in reality it’s worth about $5K more than standard. Its just paint and graphics. For who, for what? Poor Bentley people, it must be riveting to be grouped with a Ducati. On a different note, I find that the Bike Show lacking any pizazz that it used to have. I might just have to UNSUBSCRIBE.
One men's Art is another Men's Trash! They look terrible, especially the MV. Ducati limited editions are really becoming routine nowadays, so they are not that special anymore.
