Ehhh. I see where you going with this.. it has some element of truth But not 100% accurate. For example, and I'm speaking from my own experience and experience of a friend of mine.. in the Dominican Republic, the airbnb we stayed in, the property managers was a Dominican woman and Dominican man. They offered to send women over blunt AF.. I was shocked in a way. The dominican men were picking up gringos in taxis with the Dominican women with them, dropping them both off at hotels. some Dominican dudes will pimp out their own women for 💸. I was in the military for over 20 years. I learned a LONG time ago when I started to visit other countries and cultures to learn what is acceptable and what is not. I have always been able to blend in with the locals as a African American male. The problem is that these other cultures and countries are not always as accepting of the way we view life. I tell this to BM, but they don't listen. One of my friends got stabbed in the DR. I myself traveled to different countries, mainly for work. I realized that multiple times I'm raised American and have different perspectives from the native people. I've grown to respect other cultures and thier perspective tendencies. Going to places like Brazil and doing something like that is extremely dangerous, and they're just making it dangerous for other black American who wish to travel to these places to find companionship. There's a guy on Instagram, who is living in Kenya, working remotely, recording and exposing photos of these Kenyan women he's dating and posting them online and detailing rthe process from the date to him sleeping with them.... Back in the 90's we allowed this exploitation of our women and we never stopped it. This behavior we have as ABM has to stop. But as I said, my travel to other nations was for work so my contact with the people was the every day individuals not people at resorts. I'm in Telecom and it's a mostly Male industry so my interactions with women in the lands were mostly in travel, hotels and restaurants and very minimal. So my education of the culture mostly came from the Men of the nations that I was working with. So the interactions with the women was always respectful from me because I had an idea of expectations of the culture beforehand. But as you pointed out, many Americans don't have passports so most of what they hear are coming from someone else's bias. I just warned a young brother recently. He shook me off. Can also fly free anywhere in the world for life. My girlfriend is Italian and we traveled to around 40 countries and together for years. I myself traveled to different countries, mainly for work. I realized that multiple times I'm raised American and have different perspectives from the native people. I've grown to respect other cultures and thier perspective tendencies. I tend to look to attack our issues here rather than run off to a place I don't understand.
It makes you soft targets because Americans tend to be arrogant and think that the privilege of being American extends everywhere. But like you said you blended in with the locals. When I first moved to this country, then went back home for vacation as I do every summer, I managed to sell this white woman from Texas a literal sandstone that was about 15lbs, for 450 US dollars. She wanted a piece of the coral reef.....which I tried to give her. But her not knowing what the coral reef looks like, insisted that I get her a larger piece. I walked up and down the beach and looked for the biggest stone I could find, washed it off in the water, presented it to her and she was ecstatic.

So the interactions with the women was always respectful from me because I had an idea of expectations of the culture beforehand.

What he failed to realize was that the men in particular, in some of these places he 'traveled' are waiting for guys like him. He was threatened in an argument and actually got punched on his arm once surrounded by three guys who wanted him gone then got robbed by some kids on a beach the same day. The same day!! Personally I have nothing against your dreams, but men, ya'll can't be traveling to other places with an imposing agenda such as this and expect the fantasy to flow well. They're coming together against you now and despite your fun, the women eventually will feel exploited too, then the realness will begin, just saying. BTW, he's back in NC after 4 months.

Doom in New Zealand,one month in the Cooks,all summer in Lugano Switzerland living in a Italian farm house, took our nieces to Ireland to explore the Game of Thrones locations, chartered a sailboat for two weeks in Florida,and October in Brazil for a wedding and stayed for six weeks.
