    Chin up makes you feel good about yourself. Pull ups remind you how weak you are.😐

      My max pull up reps was 16 about 2 months ago. Even though i've never tried to see my maximum for chin ups it just feels harder to me and i think i just couldn't do 16 reps

The light is perfect, there’s nothing to disturb observing you doing the exercises. It looks easy and I totally understand your instructions but it is damn hard performing such a fundamental exercise like the chin or pull up the way you do it. Thanks for the explanations.

  • @alex.pendleton

    Make sure to engage your scapula before doing pullups. If not, the dead hang angle will be bad for your shoulders over time. There is no substitute for these workouts! I’ve been working them for years, now I can get up to 36 pullups (not strict) in one set. Keep working my friends!

    • @alex.pendleton
      @alex.pendleton 2 роки тому +8

      @@kajuanweaver1607 while hanging from the bar, pull up very slightly only using your shoulder blades (arm should still be locked out). This should move the tension from your shoulders to your upper back. A good visualization that helps is to lean back a little and focus on getting your sternum to the bar. Most people just hang directly under the bar and try to pull straight up until their chin gets over the bar, which will stress your shoulders over time.

    For whom it may concern, start with pull ups. There is no substitute. When u cant get past a certain #, add chin ups. Always do pull ups first, then do ur rows or whatever then do chinups. I was stuck at like 12 pull ups, added the chin ups and now 20 pull ups r not a problem on the 1st set. Hope this helps.
