They are or have released the Stevens 334 or Ata Turqua in both 270 and 30-06 it's on Ata's website, I'm hoping to get one back end of the year in 270 with the adjustable stock
I just purchased the 334 walnut stock. Looked at a bunch of pictures and was expecting just a plain Jane, but the stock is beautiful. Dealer showed it off to several people before i arrived to pick it up. He was blown away. It is gorgeous. Now to scope it and find some ammunition that it likes to eat.
The 334 is made in Turkey. Not saying thats a bad thing but.. The exact same gun from I think ATA. The Turqana? Has a 5 round mag. So if you could source those mags... You have an extended mag. Also the trigger group is the same but no wax seal to prevent adjustment. in fact listed as adjustable by ATA. So adjust away but at your own risk.
I find it hilarious that the savage stock is built for iron sight usage but most of them are built for scope use only ... I kinda wish they'd just come with sights
Adriel, the Axis has a couple more small advantages. It's current stock has a spacer so you can shorten the length of pull, and left hand models are available.
The Axis never was a nice cheap rifle. It's ugly, old, and has a terrible trigger. But they are usually accurate. How about the 334? Is it as accurate?
isn't the 334 a stevens? maybe they are owned by savage but that would still be like calling a jeep wrangler a dodge. My biggest problem with this video is that after watching the entire video, i am wondering how you can give reviews or a comparison without actually shooting either gun? This is like giving a review on a car without even taking it on a test drive
Thanks for the quick and thorough comparison!
30-06 was the deal breaker for me personally. If the 334 came in 30-06 or 300mag I may have reconsidered. Both great rifles!
I agree dude. I wish the 334 made long action caliber

I just bought one of these as my first rifle, I found a deal pre tax and all that for 280 brand new. I’ve heard they are very accurate as well
How do you like it? Have you shot it yet and if you did what's the prcision like
I have shot it, and I love it. It feels like a much higher quality gun than you would think for the frice, and it’s very accurate@@imeprezime1069

yeah, I got the feeling that the wax cover is a Savage thing.

Good show and thanks for the info 👍👍👍👌👌
I bought the 334 in .308 with the wood stock
334 is nice the only problem is they on make 3 calibers. When they start making a 30 06, 300 win, 7mm rem, 7mm08, 270 etc. Axis has way more available
334/Ata Turqua released new calibers long action 270 and 30-06, hoping to get one back end of the year in 270
The 334 is a lot better. The magazine, the stock, the safety is better. The wood stock is very nice.

334 is hands down the best budget rifle on the market. 32 yrs professional Gunsmith! Only problem is Savages name is associated. This is ATA Arms.
I've owned the Axis and now own the Stevens 334. The Stevens 334 is hands down much, much better.
I'm hoping to find a wood stock 334 on sale
On sale ? It’s a steal at its current price
I just got one for $425 and the walnut stock is breathtaking. A beautiful rife!!
Thank you for being honest......
Would you pick the 334 over Axis II?
Yes
Good comparison .
Im🎉going with the Axis
Great video.
Whats the price difference Between the two?
I can't stand the savage axis skinny foreend. . wish the would put a traditional rounded forend stock on them.

334 is not a savage. It is only imported by Savage
5-1/2 pound trigger is about like shooting my 12 gauge
I bought the axis 308 for 299. 00. Very happy!
gimme a hi point 1045ts instead
