    Wow that Hans Zimmer library is absolutely amazing! What a great sound and texture! Thank you so much for sharing your opinion and demo of both great channel strips :)

      It's really amazing. And it doesn't have to be used to make music in "his" style (some believe that, anyway). It's really good. Glad you liked the video for the comparison, I did a shout-out to you for what you commented on the pres, I totally agree!

      @@arizzoschettino indeed, I didn't know about the existence of the library, good to know! Hans Zimmer is off course an amazing componist! Thank you! Yeah the preamps are actually the gems of the bundle. I really liked them to overpush them to get great distortion :)

      @@martijnvandongen I had the luck and honor to work with them for these libraries and to make demos of them, they are all really good. Spitfire makes awesome libraries and the HZ series is no exception.

    I also love 6060 . It is my first plugin on the chain. The harmonics in some eqs are incredible plus the compressors are very good. Great video, very inspiring.

    Is the little key icon at the bottom of the c671 not for external sidechain?

    • @arizzoschettino
      @arizzoschettino  5 місяців тому

      Yes, it's easy enough to configure any external side-chain. I just wish I had some internal SC in the interface itself, that all modules could share (or maybe per-module, with tiny dial screws like trim pots!). Fingers crossed that McDSP adds it ;)

    this last year has been an eye-opener for me since having acquired both of these. i love them both, as different as they are from each other. the one thing missing from the MCDSP strip is scrollable presets in a browser....i'ma continue to harass them til the day i dies....that's a promise.

      I agree, they are comparable but not replaceable, they do different things in their own ways.
      I also harass McDSP with many requests and I can guarantee you Colin first and then the whole team second love to be professionally harassed with constructive criticism. A preset system is a great idea. I do save my own things and tend to use them a lot, so that's why I'd like it, internally and not copy paste from a DAW to another 😂
      Keep harassing them with your constructive criticism, I'll do the same. Keep knocking at the door 😂

      @@arizzoschettino totally. what's incredible about the MCDSP lot is how appreciative they are of such criticism/suggestion....especially considering the caliber of their ware. My deal with wanting those presets in scrollable form is i can just pour through the various possibilities......i don't want to pretend i know what those are or what settings have worked in other situations before.....i'm of the belief these seasoned engineers might. call me lazy but i don't want to be that guy....i'll sometimes find a snare setting does just the trick on a full drum-loop...a few adjustments here and there and we're set. MCDSP is the only company i'll subscribe to without even thinking about it.....that said InfinStrip is a monster . High praise for both companies.

      i should amend that to say MCDSP is the ONLY company which i've actually paid a subscription to....and will continue to do so as long as they're on offer.

      No reason to amend, @@planetclay - I have probably used McDSP plug-ins more than anything else. I saw them in 2003, used by people I learnt from (by asking or just by watching when they were working), I was a tiny little young cocky-but-silent assistant, sometimes playing stuff but never engineering. Then I learnt post production on it, then I basically used them on my own stuff, used them for teaching, and kept on using them. My music and all the original scoring I wrote (licensed or not) had a lot of McDSP stuff on it. So I might be totally biased in answering to you but... who cares, it's my personal opinion ;)
