I consider myself privileged to have witnessed the beauty of yes live for over 50 years, and now to be able to share the experience again online with other fans. Thank you so much for posting this.
I saw him at penns peak near my house...I was in awe all night watching him..he did not stop..truly a guitar god..and that's coming from a 43 old man that started playing guitar at 14..
This is What $10 Used to BUY !! A Lifetime Experience by a Band of Master Musicians Whose Lyrics Were an Education and Not Indoctrination !! Any Live Recording with Chris Squire & Steve Howe is Culturally Relevant !
It's a small thing, but I like the way the accoustic guitar comes in at 7:25 - it really suits this performance. Jon Davison does a fine job - good voice.
Look at Chris Squire singing backup vocals in the middle there!! Pretty cool!! He did a great job! This fellow, Jon Davison, is a pretty good substitute for Jon Anderson...not a replacement, but a pretty good fill-in....
Man those guys nailed it. Proud to be a fan and I'm gonna show this to my boy cause old guys can still bring it. Chris I can hear St Peters gate vibrating rock them good old friend
Sorry, but there is no replacement for JA on vocals. This guy has got the upper register nailed, but he lacks soul and belief in the lyrics and material that Anderson brought. This guy is clearly an impostor.....more fake news.
O que esses 2 senhores, Steve Howe na guitarra e Chris Squire no baixo fazem a partir dos 7'10' é uma verdadeira aula em seus instrumentos! Sem presepada e muita técnica!
Without Steve Howe this would not have been possible. Period", Christoper Squier my ass. STF up keep strumming a unplugged guitar! Okay I feel better now. Love you Steve Howe, thanks for your incredible contribution to music.
Everything YES is there but the vocal performance. His phrasing seems to drag a bit and it holds back the natural, forward-driving energy that made this song such a joy to listen to.
No matter what people may say about YES, pompous, pretentious, long winded. Close to 50 years, and still recording and touring. While these so called mighty musical artists disappear, from weak talent and unsmart decisions
That has to be Geoff D. and Alan W. ... I saw YES back in '77 - '78 in Kansas City, and later saw Steve at the Lone Star in Westport (Kansas City) in late '93... Chris passed in Phx not long after attending my friends "daughter's" b-day party in early '2015... such a rockin' influence for other artists and bands...
through all the different musicians, yes musically is fantastic... I just cant listen to this guy sing... Benoit was adequate. I wont see any yes performances without Jon Anderson
The look-alike can sing well, but doesn't 100 percent sound like John, who I hear had medical problems and the band replaced him without telling him and went on tour. The Skynard brother, I can't tell him from Ronnie. Still an inspired jam by the band.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, Chris Squire and Getty Lee as far as Bass styles sound alike in many ways and are cut from the same cloth. (I personally put Getty above Chris). Two True F****** Trailblazers! 😎🎸
This a good Live performance, Yes Steve is one of the best guitar player. I’ve seen him quite a few times, and being this was Chris last. He gave it all.. But For me, No Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman it’s not the same, I guess (I’m old and grumpy)
@@johnmaer Long story, but seems Howe is the only remaining original member of the band he tours with. The others who left (and rejoined now and then) eventually formed their own Yes clones (often with more original members than Howe then had), but Howe still had the continuity of the band name, and thus the animosity grew.
Saw YES one day with ABWH and Chris, over 50 years ago, so satisfied I saw them play...
2023 here, listening with such reverence to a band I was honoured to have seen.
Truly, there is no other, only Yes! ❤
One of rocks greatest guitarist. See people you don't need tons of distortion, just pure talent.
Yeah
Hold on let me turn off my distortion pedal I couldn't hear you. What did you say.....lol Just Kidding
Totally agree!
Steve Howe keeps getting better all the time. I love that dude.
That audience is blessed to be there . This is an epic performance !
Great job by Jon Davidson.
That riff.... one of the greatest in rock history, they really nailed it - as it sounds just like interstellar travel (through the wurm hole)!

Bittersweet to see Chris Squire out there as he passed not long after but this is such a great live performance. Thanks TurnItUp.
Steve Howe is in the top four of my 58 year old catalogue of Axemen. Phenomenal!
Steve Howe is a Bonafide LEGEND has Been for Decades !!!
Steve Howe looks like he could make it past 90. I would pay to see him play.
I saw him at penns peak near my house...I was in awe all night watching him..he did not stop..truly a guitar god..and that's coming from a 43 old man that started playing guitar at 14..
I brought a couple friends to a Yes show several years back at the House of Blues in Chicago. They still talk about it.
It simply doesn’t get much better than this and Davidson has an amazing voice.
Some of the most MAGNIFICENT, MELODIC, HARMONIOUS R&R in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE, no doubt !!!

True talent is remembered forever.
Watching Steve and Chris play is such a treat. Thanks for posting this. Yessongs, Starship Trooper is my favorite album and song of all time.
Amazing how The late great Chris can play the bass and play keyboards at the same time . Phenomenal !.
Great band. This a great performance
Amazing. I saw Steve Howe about 22-23 years ago at the Coach House, what a brilliant guitarist.
And the more to take you listen, the more respect !. Not saying for the rest of the musicians and the new singer has a good break !.
Mohaine one of the very best my friend...
It's a small thing, but I like the way the accoustic guitar comes in at 7:25 - it really suits this performance. Jon Davison does a fine job - good voice.
jon davison doesn't sing with any heart. makes all the difference.
I actually like this Jon too

@@johnmaer I thought he did a good job. Those are some big vocal shoes to fill!

Love em all but, dang Steve, such beautiful, uncompromising riffs. Thank God there recorded! 🏁
I absolutely love you ❤❤❤❤!!!!
Aloha TurnitUp and Mahalo Nui Loa for sharing this with us" Yes" i live in Hawaii
When Gods play music this is what it sounds like. Rock on Steve Howe!
Nice performance. I hope I can see them live some day.
Best bassist
Amazing!!! Love them!!

Originally half a century ago! F-in amazing!!!
This singer is fantastic !
AMAZING
Beautiful
Steve Howe is an all time great!
Steve Howe is the best!!
No words ………….. WOW !

R.I.P Chris
It took me until this day to discover that Steve Howe is actually Jesus.
This jon sing pretty good...but cant beat the origional jon anderson...i see the rick wakeman influence that geoff downes got with the cape thing
Jon Anderson should still be there. The fact he isn't, is the fault of Jon Anderson. No one else is responsible for that.
There's a UA-cam video of Steve and Les Paul jamming at Fat Tuesday's. It's a guitar treat.
Guy sounds like Jon Anderson, right? I saw these guys twice in the 70's aways great.
No matter what people may say about YES, pompous, pretentious, long winded. Close to 50 years, and still recording and touring. While these so called mighty musical artists disappear, from weak talent and unsmart decisions
Who cares if they play for too long. More joy to our ears!

Chris Squire ROCKS... any questions?
good old Chis...bless 'im
2004 Laguna. It was time to give it up!!!!

They actually sound better at this age

Howe is amazing, saw him last year, sorry that Cruise to the Edge has been postponed...indefinitely...love Yes!!
Squire would get my nod on bass sound over Rush any day.
Anderson must have been attending his fiftieth class reunion as I am next week.
One thing(and it's an important thing),is missing.A dude named Bill. Not the same impact without him.
Bill is a unique beast.. unique drum tone, and groove..which Alan white , although being a very proficient side lad , always lacked

Lead vocalist : Viggo Mortensen 😀
BillyBob Thornton on guitar
Jon Davison lead vocals....who wrote this.....Jon Anderson lead vocals.
It's just not the same...
It's pretty sad that Wakeman and Anderson can't get it together with Howe though.
Was there a falling out between those guys?

Steve Howe God
So Baroque sounding
where is rick?
I have mixed feelings. It's Yes and it isn't. I can't decide.
Great song, but why so pedestrian?
Still rather have Jon Anderson on mike.
Buena version pero sin Jon ..no parece Yes.
:)
Missing Wakeman badly.
Also missing Alan White badly. Drums here are pale, almost lifeless in comparison.
Jhon Anderson siempre será Jhon Anderson...!!!
Howe needs fattening up with a big steak
Hes a vegetarian...
Still needs a jiucy porterhouse!
Steak doesn’t make you fat. Another dummy conned by the government food pyramid
Chris than Stieve.
nope.
The voice is very feminine unlike jon anderson
can't stand this failed jon anderson imitator.
His vocals sound forced
This is sad and embarrassing.
