How could the government be mad at saying, here is 10 million to buy a little bit of a piece of land, and then you are offered (at the time) to double the size of your country for a extra 5 million... who wouldn't do that tell me?
nice vid
While most of the rivers and creeks in the southern part of these provinces flow toward Hudson Bay, some - the Milk River in Alberta and the Poplar River and Big Muddy Creek in Saskatchewan - flow south through the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers to the Gulf of Mexico. The lands drained by these tributaries could thus be regarded as having been part of the Louisiana Purchase.
I’m still stuck on what was the Lewis and Clark expedition
Great content, wonderfully explained! But PLEASE, at the very least, turn down the volume of the sound effects! Subscribed w/ Notification. TY!

wait but... whatever happened to Spain selling this land to France? If Monroe and Livingston went to France to talk about buying just New Orleans, while France still hadn't owned the Louisiana territory, but then France sells ALL of it, STILL WITHOUT OWNING/BUYING IT FROM SPAIN, when did France ever buy this land from Spain?
Hi, do you think there’s is enough information to write my 5-10 double paged research paper on how the Louisiana Purchase affected Native American (culture and life in general) ?

I am curious about what kind of French empire in North America Napoleon dreamed....Napoleon was aware that the Royal navy prevented France from sailing on the Atlantic since most of La Marine Royale dropped France...and also only few people spoke french in this huge Louisiana...So, how can create a French North America Empire ???

It was more than just a Haitian revolt. The French lost the territory all together. The enslaved people took over, gaining their independence. Without the labor, Napoleon no longer had use for the Louisiana territory. This is what made this purchase possible.
Napoleon got tired of upkeep😊
This has less to do with why the Louisiana purchase made history. The major part of why it was sold was because of the Haitian Revolution defeat of French colony. Those other wars is useless info. The NO port was to import Caribbean slaves to continue slave capitalism in the US.
how you have more views than history on maps, he do better edit :c
