@@wati8995 the Canucks are at their best with miller and Petey each running a line. If you get rid of miller you suddenly become a one line team. So if you’re advocating for that you’re saying you want to punt on a season where Hughes is still affordable and arguably having a hart trophy season… I think people might be over reacting to this start to the season. I’d like to see them find a top 4 but it’s hard to find

Doesn't matter if Peterson right or JT Miller right, the divide in the room could sink them right out of the playoffs. It not just Petersons play that tails off when Miller in the lineup, Debrusk's does as well. With JT in the lineup, Peterson has produced 9 points, Debrusk 10. Without JT, Peterson produced 17 and Debrusk 13.

The Sabres reasoning makes me laugh, instead of paying Reinhart they trade him for futures then give Cozens a big contract after 1 good season. Let Eichel have the surgery HE wants it's his body but you trade him for Tuch and the rest was garbage. ROR you trade at least you got Thompson and Ryan Johnson and the rest was garbage...do you see a pattern here? They traded those 3 players 2 top line centers and all you have to show for it is Thompson and Tuch and a bunch of futures who have not made a dent in the line-up. Yet you worry bc those players went on to win the cup with other teams...total insanity. Maybe beef up your pro and amateur scouting departments instead of going cheap. Adams has drafted 38 players and only 2 have made the NHL.

At the end of the day, it is the "team" that wins hockey games and gives you "compete". I must admit that some of Petterson's self-indulging, pouty interviews have rubbed me the wrong way as a longtime Canuck fan-- particularly when you are betting the future of the franchise for the next 8 years on his character. Additionally, I question whether he is the answer for the Canucks as he has not really demonstrated commitment to improving his skating, physique, and balance during his time here as well as the fact that he all but disappeared in the Playoffs last year and, in fact, the latter part of the season since signing his "franchise player" contract. He does not show any real evidence or concern about how much the franchise has invested in him and even suggested in his early contract negotiations last year that Canada, and Vancouver specifically, is too difficult of a hockey market to play in-- NOT what you want to hear from a true competitor!
It makes sense to keep the player who is most passionate about winning-- like Vancouver fans-- and shows up when it counts. I do not hold competitiveness over Miller's head as at the end of the day hockey is a competitive sport and Vancouver is a competitive hockey market; however, if his personality is indeed overwhelming to the rest of the team as some inside analysts have suggested, then I would resign myself to moving Miller as long as the Canucks mgmt. make a SMART trade that improves the overall team competition level and consistency.

For both of them, Rangers would have to get back 3 top prospects AND at least 2 1st round pick plus 2 2nd round picks.

@@arln1966 The Pens are scouting NYR farm club. What for? on both the Pens and Rangers side then? I assume Pettersson. I looked up the Rangers prospects and picked 2. My made up Fox trade is because the Rangers want JT Miller and the salaries have to work out under the cap. That's all. JT Miller isn't scraps and it is rumored that NYR want him and want to trade Kreider. Fox won the Norris Trophy in only 55 games. He has 1 goal this season in 32 games. Kreider has 1 assist and 12 points in 29 games. We'll see. Drury is the GM. Your not getting picks and prospects, there is a salary cap.
