I have a fleet of Hyper Go's...all the parts are interchangeable it's great. I run a 3s 3000mah 50C battery for all of them, it totally changes how these things run. But you'll need to upgrade diffs to the high end steel. On my 1/14's (like yours) I run 1/10 scale wheels and tires they fit perfectly no modification needed other than the bodywork. If you decide to upgrade the servo make sure to get one without tabs on the side or youll have to cut them off.
Thanks, mate. I only have this one so far, and it's surprisingly nice. I knew about the interchangeable parts, which is awesome. I got the full metal upgrade kit at the same time, just in case. I know metal isn't ideal, but it was cheaper than buying plastic replacement parts. 😅 Good tip on the tires. So just regular 10th scale rally tires. That should help with ground clearance, which is a bit low for the rough gravel on the roads in the woods around here. I've let the kids run it on 2s, but I've ran it almost exclusively in 3s. So much more fun. 😁
@@Br0rB Oh yea there's a ton of steel and aluminum parts for these, they recently started making full metal chassis replicas for $90 (might not be the best idea) ...I've done select aluminum parts. (shock towers, ESC shelf, rear-lower suspension arms, and all of the wheel cups) More weight = more damage. You can also get aluminum skid plates that cover the whole bottom for $15. All my 1/10 wheels the tire diameter is 65mm, any more like 70mm ++ may cause issues haven't tested. Nice video btw :)
I'll have to search for some wheels then. The MJX ones are a bit pricey, but I have found plenty of 1:10 ones for not that much money. I wore through the rally block ones in no time on asphalt. ;)
Hey there, a great looking rally car for sure, I not surprised that you have a rooted passion for the rally cars too, it’s something that Norway and surrounding fellow countries are good at churning out….rally drivers, must be a weather thing 😂😊😂 that MJX looks very impressive! Really like the internal cover to help keep the car clean inside. Best wishes and a very Merry Christmas to you and the family 🎄🎅🎄
Thanks, mate. Yeah it's a hoot. And it looks spectacular. The inner cover probably does something, but honestly not as much as I would have hoped. When running on wet/damp gravel the inside of the body packs up with dirt, and quite a bit inside the dust cover too. I guess it would have been even worse without it. We have had a few pretty successful rally drivers. The one time Petter Solberg won the whole WRC, I was there in Australia, and it was amazing. We were beat after three days out in the bush watching rally, so we eventually went home. That was one of the dumbest things I have everdone We were there with the Norwegian students association, and after we left, they were all invited to the big WRC after party, with all the drivers and free booze... So the other Norwegian students partied all night with all the WRC drivers, and had a blast. And I missed it. It's been 20 years, and that decision still haunts me to this day. ;) God jul to you and yours too, and a happy new year, in a weeks time. Hope it's a great one. :)
Great video and good review. I also bought two models of the MJX 14303. I like seeing that you bought the updated V2 version with the E45P ESC model. Let us know your thoughts.
Nice. It's such a fun little thing. I wish it had a bit more ground clearance, so I may looke at doing something about that. It struggles a bit on rough surfaces. I just ordered the one they had on Banggood, and apparently that's a newer one, cause I talked to Matt over at @2fmrc, and his has a different ESC and maybe even different shocks.
@@Br0rBCurrently, I have both versions, the 14303 V1 (old model equipped with the e45A ESC) and the V2 version (upgrade with the e45P ESC). In fact, there is no difference in terms of the chassis, suspension, and wheels; the only change I've noticed at first glance is the new ESC (e45P) in the V2 version. I also bought the metal kit, but I don't think it will provide better cornering stability. I believe the car is too powerful for its size, so it tips over easily. I also bought more powerful 3s batteries and two sets of 1/10 scale tires, hoping for a higher ground clearance and better stability, as the tires are a bit wider than the originals. Let me know how the new purchase goes. In the meantime, have fun!
I guess that depends what kind of track and race. I've only hooned it around on gravel and asphalt. It does handle really well though, so can't see a reason why it wouldn't work. For racing, like proper club racing, it's probably not the one. But for having fun for not much money, heck yeah. :)
i subbed your channel and stuff , im working on my 14303 ua-cam.com/video/fD8XpYa-4LI/v-deo.htmlsi=9LCuxWW03hlwUa9n&t=168 i kinda think mine is the ( quickest ) on youtube so far xD. idk lol i need help tuning it loll
That thing is going to be sick. I figured bigger motor and pinion, but no. That thing is going to fly, maybe literally even. Awesome project. Mine is fast, but that's just stock, not jet engine fast. :-D

is this car good enough for race track usage?
да
