- Here is my very short and honest Honda Monkey 12 Month Owners Review.. I`ve only shared a couple of good points and in the interest of being fair i will let you know what really does grind my gears too.. Oh and there is a great food hack in the video too.. watch out for that and maybe give it a try, you`ll be amazed.. HONEST..

I was close to getting one recently but decided I'm better off getting something faster whilst my other bike is a Himalayan.
I might get a monkey to replace my Himalayan one day because I like riding lanes and the monkey is great for that.
Monkeys are ace for riding the lanes and are very agile!! Get to most places on one!! I’m looking forward to seeing what you buy Adam 👍🏼
The placement of the horn instead of the indicator is something Honda does on all their bikes now.. dont know why, but I’ve seen it on their new bikes, not only on the mini bikes. Btw I ride the Dax ST 125 and the horn is placed same way on it.

They do it on all of them mate it’s madness though is t it!! Stay safe bro!!
Is quite common to press the honk by mistake every time you press the Directional lights off, by changing the placement you avoid this. I think that’s the reason since it happens to me quite often.

I have a good size tank bag on mine, maybe a 15 liter expandable, the Africa twin tank bag ring fits the monkey so I can use a quick release bag like the givi.
With the monkey only having a peanut tank I thought larger tankbag properly got in the way of the bars and seat… I have several tank bags and rings and found the bag mounted on the rack the best option! But if it works for you mate that’s all that counts 👍🏼
I know why Honda changed the directionals/honk, to avoid pressing the honk by mistake every time you want to turn off the directional lights, the finger tends to slide.
I’ve never had a problem and to this day don’t have a problem with things being the correct way about… it’s the only thing I honestly dislike about the monkey the horn and indicators being the wrong way about!!
Cheap ins, who do you use? I have two bikes on a multi bike policy with Bennets, and decided this year to change both of them.Basically big bike for me and the wife to go out. And then the fun one which currently is a crf250l. Ordered the new large bike, which unfortunatly may not arrive till October, and decided I would trade the 250 in and give the Monkey a go as the fun bike. So started looking for ins quotes. Told I cant get multi cover on a monkey, which meant cant mirror my no claims on 2nd bike and was quoted £600 to insure.Not a happy chap.
I go through Adrian Flux, I always found Bennetts ridiculous price wise.. MCE we’re ace til they went bump… good luck mate

@zedcharlie used to love onion but have really gone off it for absolutely no reason! Can’t even stand the smell anymore!

🤣 honestly it’s amazing!! I don’t know what your equivalent of crumbly Lancashire cheese is but I’m telling ya it’s the one.. best butty ever and even better if you only have it occasionally
