I’ve watched this series twice, really well done editing is great and I love the intro music. It made me feel like I was there with you. You’ve inspired me, I’ve bought a 2023 KLR 650 and plan on building it up to ride up to Tuk. Keep creating more content I look forward to seeing more of your adventures.
Brings back good memories. I went there in 2017 on an 1190 but the road to Tuk was not opening until November. Then returned 2020 on a 1290 and made it right to the ocean. No flats no issues just some long stretches of mud and lot of dust on the one summer trip. Not sure if it was timing but there were no bugs to speak of...
I spent the last day watching all the episodes and I really enjoyed them. I feel more inspired to ride out there at some point. The videography was great and very engaging, thank you for taking time out of your trip to film this adventure for us. Amazing series!
So I just finished watching all the videos from this series from NewBrunswick to the final Tuktoyuktuk of collecting your souvenir of water for the shelf at home, super well done on all the hi lights, I’m from Sault Ste Marie Ont and have been on all most all of your routes from Cape Breton ( not in series ) to Jasper and was out in Jasper when the fires were going on and there was a heat wave . I’ve never done motorcycle camping but at 62 and riding a Victory Cross country feel you’ve given some confidence. Heading to Newfoundland this August and plan to only camp while I ride on the island for 8 days. Thankyou
That was one of the best series I have watched on UA-cam. Very well done and what a hell of an adventure! Thank you for the great content. Ride safe brother 🤙
The pure north air makes for superb sunsets. Almost unbelievable the gorgeous sunsets. You guys are tough NB ers. You made it to the Arctic Circle. Congratulations. Those memories will live forever in your thoughts. Thanks for filming your extraordinary trip. Be careful on your way back!!!!
Well I have to say I am completely envious of your accomplishment. Congratulations on the ride and the awesome photography and drone shots. I have twice attempted the ride to Tuk and been turned back because of weather or forest fires. I still have it in my mind to go, but I'm only a few years away from my 70th and the window is closing. Still, the thought of it keeps me young (at heart anyway). I think I might seriously consider getting a drone after having seen the splendid scenery you captured. Thanks for the experience. Cheers!
Thank you! 🙂🙏 Glad you enjoyed the videos. That’s too bad about the timing of your trips but I’m sure they were adventurous nonetheless! Hopefully you get the chance to go again - Where there is a will there is a way as they say! Cheers!
The shot of your tent and the KTM with the sun setting amidst red cloudy sky had me hypnotized. What an amazing ride and hats off to the spirit of the locals for braving winters in this region.
Thank you! It was definitely a picture. Perfect moment during that sunset! 🙂 I certainly wouldn’t want to be around there long during the winter myself that’s for sure!
What a great series, thanks for sharing your journey! Only came across your channel yesterday and binged the whole trip. A trip like this is definitely on my bucket list, and you just moved it higher up that list!
I saw each and every one of your episodes on this wonderful adventure from the Atlantic to the Antarctic Ocean and I have taken a lot of notes, since I intend to do the same route to Tuktayactuk in June 2025. I was thinking about departing from Ottawa, where my daughter lives, since I am from Peru, but you have given me the great idea of starting in Halifax to repeat your epic journey of joining the two oceans in motorcycle. I am considering going to Deadhorse after Tuk to experience both Dempster and Dalton Highways. Your journey has been of a lot inspiration to me; Thanks a that; looking forward to follow you in your next adventure!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the videos and got some ideas for your own upcoming adventure. If you do ride from Halifax, and ride through Moncton, hit me up and we can grab a coffee or something on your way by! ✌️
Just came across your channel. I road the Dempster to Tuk June 2022. But didn’t take any video, so thanks for letting me relive my ride with your videos. Hope to do it again in spring 2024 and a little slower pace. We did Dawson to Tuk and back to Dawson in 3 days. Way to fast……
Good to see my old stomping grounds, Tuktoyactuk is a special place with amazing people. Thanks for stopping in to say hello to me. I truly enjoyed your trip. I have some Tuktoyactuk stickers I forgot to give you when you were in. I’ll have to find a way to get them to you.
Thanks’ Yes, it was great meeting a fellow New Brunswicker all the way on the other side of the continent! Stickers are always fun! (I have a little upcoming project that they might accentuate nicely)! 😁 If ever you’re in the Moncton area, you can swing by the Pavechaser HQ in town :)
Wheels and 2 wings said it exactly!! @Wheels_2_Wings That was one of the best series I have watched on UA-cam. Very well done and what a hell of an adventure! Thank you for the great content. Ride safe brother 🤙
This was a great series is so many ways; scenery, great footage, drone and camera work, music and talking content. And the route on the shirt was a good idea. Excellent job. I do have a question and apologize if I missed this. Did you say why you went to Tuktoyaktuk and not Prudoe Bay? Maybe that was not the original destination? I ask because I am planning a trip to that area leaving a August 1st and after watching your series am thinking of switching destinations. You went right to the water, was able to camp there and the landscape really looked beautiful. Thanks for the great series. Clint
Hi Clint, thanks for the comment 🙏 - I’m glad you enjoyed it! There were a couple reasons I went to Tuktoyuktuk. 1) I wanted to to stay in Canada for the whole journey from the Atlantic to Arctic. 2) like you mentioned, you can camp right on the Arctic/swim in it. It is a small native hunting/fishing village and the culture is amazing. I believe Prudhoe Bay is more difficult to get to the ocean (or not even possible without paying a tour). It has more of an industrial/military feel to it if I’m not mistaken. This being said, I will probably end up, driving there as well in the future just to knock it off the list lol.
Thanks so much for the feedback! 😁🙏 I have a couple more adventure videos in the works which should be fun… aaaand a winter project (with vids of course) that will enable some more crazy adventures in the near future! 😁🙌😁
Great videos. Hard to find Canadian Bike vlogs. I will be leaving NB heading to Kenora in August, but on a Suzuki Cruiser and staying in Hotels. Currently waiting on weather to get out on 2 wheels. Thanks for video.
I watched the whole series and I think you did a great job documenting the journey. I too, live in the Moncton area and I found your channel, by chance, as I begin the preliminary planning for my own (solo) ride across the country and up the Dempster Highway, next summer. Thanks for the added inspiration. Awesome videos!
Thank you so much! I’m sure you will have a great time. It’s an amazing trip from east to west to north! Us Monctonions get around - I even met someone from Moncton working in Tuk when I was there! 😆
A wonderful adventure, tons of amazing scenery, footage and spectacular filming. The last sunset was WOW WOW WOW! 😃 thanks for sharing your journey, great job 👍👍👍 looking forward to the next one💕
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, I did not record any of the return trip as it was essentially multiple iron butt rides covering 8000 km as fast as I possibly could!😂 I do have some other videos coming out with some other adventures I’ve had since, aaaand, as the snow falls in my part of the world during this season, I have some winter projects in the works that will enable even more adventures in the near future!
Watched your full trip..what an awesome experience that must have been. Your channel gave me great ideas to kit out my Duke 890 ..looking forward to doing a couple long trips this summer ..👍
Thanks for the feedback.🙏 it was definitely a great experience. I’m glad you got some ideas for my set up! I’ll be making a few changes and tweaks to it for some upcoming adventures. It’s a great long distance bike in my opinion, I’m sure you’ll have a great time with it! 🙌😁🏍✌️
Awesome journey and videos. Hope to make this trip next fall. Did you have to reserve your campsites along the route or were you able to find available campsites? Thanks for taking us along on the ride of a lifetime
Thanks you! 🙏🙂. We generally just found the campgrounds as we rolled into town. There was always someplace that had some thing and, being on a motorcycle with a hammock or tiny tent, it was not hard to squeeze in even if they were full!
Truly breathtaking series - one of the best on YT. We're planning on doing the similar trip this year if the wildfires stay in control. Which camera and drone were you using?
@@pavechaser Thanks. You're Dempster Highway and Tuktoyaktuk videos are probably the best on entire internet/UA-cam. Seriously AAA quality content. We're planning on doing Toronto to Tuktoyaktuk this summer probably in mid June (4-5 weeks return trip). Last year we did 3 weeks Toronto to St. John's Newfoundland trip - maybe this year or next year you should do more videos on NS (incl. Cape Breton Island), PEI and Newfoundland ! Stay safe.
Outstanding. I'm an older rider, have been across the US repeatedly, plus 13 countries, so I can appreciate this. Question: What TIRES did you use? You went from tarmac to dirt... did you use different types (ADV vs. Road)?
Question about booking the campsite on the ocean? Did you book well in advance ? How or who would i contact about this ? Headed there late July. Thanks 👊🏽
I just found your channel and really liked your vlogs! Your filming of your journey and storytelling is awesome. I really enjoyed the cinematic footages. What video editor do you use?
Thank you so much for the feedback😁 - I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m a bit new to the video recording/editing world, but getting a bit of practice so as more videos come out hopefully they will improve as well! I’m currently using Adobe Premiere Pro. 👍😁
Likely not! I’ve already had a few dual sports (I actually traded a KTM 1190 Adventure for the Duke). In order to get enough power to make pavement driving fun (for me), you have to get a monster (physically) - which makes riding off-road quite miserable. But hey, I don’t like being normal! 😜 🤷♂️
Nice, I rode up to Tuktoyaktuk from Vancouver last June. For a Coffee and a rock. 24hr sun was weird. It was a really special place.
I’ve watched this series twice, really well done editing is great and I love the intro music. It made me feel like I was there with you. Could I ask where you found the music for your Video’s? Your music is Fantastic!

Lol well to be fair, this was recorded back in late August/Sept. (video editing takes time lol) I’m sure is muuuuch colder there now! 🥶
That was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed the series from start to end. Congratulations on an epic adventure!

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. Planning on going in a few years. Will be riding from Ontario. How was the ride back home?

Loved your videos. What time of the month(s) did you ride up to Tuk?
Thank you! It was late Aug/early Sept when we when - starting to get cold but amazing fall scenery!
I know they've got lots of polar bears in Hudson Bay, but I am not sure about Tuk. Did they say anything about polar bears in the area?
Yes, they do have polar bears there, but not during the season we were there. I think that’s mostly in the winter.
