I like lilacs. If you use the Productive Trees sawmill, which is quite easy to craft, you get more planks than regular crafting, but also sawdust as a by-product. The sawdust can then be used to make paper. That might help you make paper. I've always pronounced "peony" as "pee-uh-nee". That's how I've always heard it.
This return to the cozy farming vibe has me very ready to wear sweaters and hold warm mugs and check for your uploads. Of all your content, farming has always been my fav
Hello sjin! There's some tips (again) that I wanna give you. I don't know if you remember but you can actually directly convert a vanilla tool into a silent gear one. Also for an automatic sugar cane farm you can actually use mud, a contraption that breaks the sugar cane and some hoppers that recollect the sugar cane since it's not a full block. You can also use a hopper minecart instead of a regular hopper for more efficiency. After that, you can lead the sugar cane to a pipe that leads to a chest and there we go. It may be too vanilla and technique for you but it's probably the only way in the modpack to really automate sugar cane
Really enjoying the slower pace of this series. Great to chill out with. I think you made a great call for the horse name yourself - Tuxedo! He IS a good horse, too.
Everything grows by block updates. There is a vanilla way to get sugarcane to grow quickly, you put it on sand, then that sand on sand and that sand on a plank. That plank is attached to a sticky piston that is on a quick redstone circuit which is timed so that the top sand block never starts to fall, but the one below it starts to but never actually falls. That constant movement is causing the top sand to update and each time it updates there is a chance for the sugarcane to grow.
I am rather fond of the classic vanilla wood farm. Three rows with oak saplings, each row containing 10+ saplings, planted side by side with no space between each sapling. Putting some torches between each row. Then you just leave them, and harvest once a day. They generally produce enough saplings on each harvest to refill the rows and expand them.
love the series reminds me of the original feed the world videos you made when i was younger. I watched them religiously as a 13-14yo. keep it up i love how you explain and teach us the mods as you go through and tell us your objectives in a sort of story form.
I kinda like the Peony. Your style of video making (state a goal in the beginning, then doing said goal) has kept my coming back to watch your videos for years. I would also love to see maybe a behind the scenes series where you upload you decorating your base and the stuff you do off camera so to speak(if you record that). No editing just cut it up into 30 minute videos or something(3 hour videos are hard to get thru as an adult working person).
Hey Sjin! If you get into silent gear you can make single use blueprints for tools using just wood no need for the paper. Also if you are only going to cut trees use the saw it auto ulti Mines trees. Other useful tools are hammers as they regularly mine the 3x3 no ulti mine required. Be mindful you can make different handles and such for tools example iron tool handle gives a small amount of magnet.
I find your vids to be relaxing after a stressful stream. Thanks for being the calming Minecraft player. As for flowers, I like the small flowers than the tall ones. Like Cornflower, and lilies of the valley.
Peony! Also, I really appreciate the background music you put in. It is a great fill for the silence and I think your choice of music and the levels are always spot on.
The main reason I watch your minecraft series is your building skill, so I'm looking forward to seeing this feed the world since you're avoiding minecolonies
I tend to have, on the practical side, a Kitchen, 'workspace', storage, as well as access points to my production facilities, often through underground passages allowing me to pop up anywhere in my colony, as well as a 'research facility' for the mods that require it. On the impractical side I like having a nice bedroom, living room, and if its a bigger build, apiary and aviary.
Great start to ATM10 Sjin, i'd love to see you collect all the trees and maybe every crop in the game and have fields and fields of every crop, maybe a couple of other bases? and definitely more Lore and story telling!! loved it in your original series! #Stawfingers
A neat idea would be to put all your magic stuff in the house, unless you had plans for an independent wizard tower. That way, it can look like your a simple farmer on the surface, while all your crazy magical endeavors are just below everything, maybe even under the farm itself to give the crops a bit of extra juice.
As for the sugarcane issue you can technically place it on hoed dirt with fertilizer for some reason that works in atm 10 or you could dip into applied energistics 2 for some growth accelerators with a crystal resonance generator placed ontop to power it
the reason your axes are breaking so fast it's because you were holding the Ultimate key while the leaves are disappearing it counts as you breaking all the leaves with your tool
I think that Tricky would be a fun name for your horse 😊 I would love to see orchards along with farms. And I always adda cozy library and a mad scientist style brewing room!
It looks like the leaf decay in the modpack uses durability from the axe too so ultimining wood with an axe will also act as if it broke all the leaves too. I noticed since some of them broke a second or so after mining (Often when the leaves decayed) so just using your fists might be the most viable/cost effective method
I know you dont want to run through mekanism but the refined obsidian tools have hella durability. and even the osmium ones that dont require a bunch of machines have almost double the durability of iron axes. combine with easy villager trades for mending and unbreakable books and you have an axe that will last forever
That green building isn't a balloon, it's a silo with stuff inside. Love the farmhouse design. Oh, I'm not totally sure, can't remember but I think the pillagers spawning is something to do with the number of blocks you dig / build. The wandering trader is the same
You can convert vanilla tools to Silent ones by simply placing it in a crafting grid. And unless you disable it in the options you can make wooden templates(? idk the name right now) to make one-time usable stamps for tools.. Place an anvil from Silent Tools, place some wood on it and "carve" it with any knife to get those templates.. You use them as you would use blueprint paper in the recipes
If you plant your spruce saplings in a 2x2 they will grow into a large tree and you’ll get a lot more wood from them. And it should be pretty easy to mine with ultimine
If u wanna fight pillagers, make a shield... It helps, trust me... Also, I think a Diamond Magnum torch should keep all hostile mobs away from ur colonists... Spruce trees when put in 2x2 area can make tall ones that have double as logs that 4 individual spruce trees will have combined... Also Dark Oak must be planted in 2x2 area only... Otherwise it wont grow...
I definitely like peonies better. (It's said pee·uh·nee, with the emphasis on the first syllable!) They're fluffier and have a prettier texture. They're some of my favorite flowers in real life, too, along with hydrangeas! When I build a house, I like to have a place to sleep and a place to cook and craft inside of it. In a modded playthrough, I also definitely want my computer or other storage solution to be in the house, too. I only just learned how to do wireless transmitting for Refined Storage and it's so nice. You could also have a library so you can enchant things, though you might also do a neat tower or a cute enchanted glade for that instead
The horse is still gonna be great for getting around the farm. Also I also always name my horses PuddleCrumb in games. it's like SeaBiscuit but like way less
Hello Sjin, Just want to point out the stone bricks might be stone tiles because if you put stone bricks it will compact those into tiles. Just leave the stone in the recipe and it will compact it to stone bricks.
Ermagurrd! Sjin hates Christmas and he's in cahoots with the Peonese!!!😆 Also, as for a name for your black horse, it kinda depends on the character because there's two names that pop up; If you have a wild, fierce horse, Bucephalus might be fitting (Bucephalus being infamously vicious and wild, yet was tamed by Alexander the Great. Bucephalus then went on to being instrumental in several of Alexander's victories due to strength and bravery) Or, if you have a kind horse, Burmese will fit (Burmese was a gift from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to Queen Elizabeth II and is remembered for being athletic, intelligent and gentle in nature) By the way, those Peonies do look lovely there at your farm. And I can't really help with any interior design tips; I've only just learned (after a good decade of watching your vids and being inspired by them. I still remember such builds as the Evil Fortress, which was 12 years ago already) how to build the buildings themselves😅😆
I love lilacs, but peonies are prettier flowers irl. You should also make a feeding upgrade for your backpack, it'll automatically feed you edible items from your backpack, including pam's harvestcraft foods (I believe you can also filter it to not feed you things like rotten flesh)
I think I prefer the colours of lilacs better, the peonies look a little washed out. My favourite type of flowers though are lavenders because of the smell. The horse kinds of reminds me of Black Beauty, which I think would be a good name. I always add a nice big bath or hottub to my builds, especially if there's a great view. Somewhere to relax after a hard day's work with either a nice cold drink in hand or some scented candles and music, depending on my mood.
Love the videos, especially watching at early am and late at night, maybeee a time lapse if possible would be amazing, with some of the background music you play.
It depends on my build as to if i like peonies or lilacs more...i think lilacs lend more towards faerie inspired builds, where as peonies are more for standard medieval in my opinion. So for this I think Peonies would be the best.
I don't think it's been updated, but there used to be a mod called Snad that *did* make sugarcane and cactus grow faster, and stupidly fast if you gave it redstone pulses.
You should check out Just Dire Things. The mod has a nice vanilla-feeling progression to it and it will eventually lead you to some really powerful gear for mid-to-late game. Some of it can feel quite tech-y at times, but I would suggest doing it mainly for the tools and armors you can get. At least give the book a read-through if you can!
Hello Sjin, Horse name: Socks Chipped you have 6 tables and there is 7. You forgot one in your backpack I think. What I want to see is something happens to your character and then you end up having to use magic. Maybe your consciousness wakes up and you remember you're a magic user. So you need to summon your wife again and do all the ars stuff again. Go take over the world and all the new areas. Also put stack upgrades in your sophisticated drawers the cobble and stone ones desperately need them.
i think, if you're still holding veinmine when the leaves break, it takes durability from your axe. that's why they were being used up so quickly. although, with veinmine, the axe doesn't increase your speed all that much. you're really just wasting the iron.
I like lilacs.
If you use the Productive Trees sawmill, which is quite easy to craft, you get more planks than regular crafting, but also sawdust as a by-product. The sawdust can then be used to make paper. That might help you make paper.

This return to the cozy farming vibe has me very ready to wear sweaters and hold warm mugs and check for your uploads. Of all your content, farming has always been my fav
start farming some pumpkins and you can start throwing iron golems out every once in awhile to fend off those pillagers
Hello sjin! There's some tips (again) that I wanna give you. I don't know if you remember but you can actually directly convert a vanilla tool into a silent gear one. Yeah Micster! Silly boy!
Always preferred peony because lilacs just look like weird purple feather dusters.
Everything grows by block updates. There is a vanilla way to get sugarcane to grow quickly, you put it on sand, then that sand on sand and that sand on a plank. The horse's name is "Socks", obviously.
I was thinking that too
Socks or Stockings

16:56 Sjin you and I both know what kind of doors are the best doors. That's right, Mahogany doors
There are three different subspecies of mahogany in this pack…
Mmm
Mahogany doors
Lilacs and I do believe its PEA- OhNY! Thank you Sjin.
Hey Sjin! If you want faster sugar cane, try putting it on snad (no not sand, snad)! It’s just two pieces of sand on top of each other!
Rose bushes will forever be my favorite decoration 😊❤
There are ways to "put your horse in your pocket". Justdirethings has a creature catcher that kinda works like a pokeball.
tree farm @just dire thing: block placer, block breaker with axe and upgrade treefeller, item collector
Hey Sjin! If you get into silent gear you can make single use blueprints for tools using just wood no need for the paper. Also if you are only going to cut trees use the saw it auto ulti Mines trees. Autoplay played your Feed the world Eps6 from 11 years ago following this! hahaha, What a throw back to old modded Minecraft lol
Sjin you can use Snad to make sugar cane grow unacceptably fast.
yes and the snad has to be hit with redstone pulses repeatedly for max effectiveness
@ not in my experience in ATM10
@@orrykisoznka6274 in ATM10, it does grow it faster and taller. are you sure you're using Snad and not Sand.
11:45. There is a mod called Utilitarian which adds a block call Snad which increases growing of Suger Cane when placed on top
Peony!
Also, I really appreciate the background music you put in. It is a great fill for the silence and I think your choice of music and the levels are always spot on.
Personally, having MineColonies, I would just make a forester for a tree farm :)
The main reason I watch your minecraft series is your building skill, so I'm looking forward to seeing this feed the world since you're avoiding minecolonies
I like both the peonies and lilacs and think they would probably look good together!
Those spawners you found where the diamond blocks were dig them up as that’s where pilligers are coming from I reason
I tend to have, on the practical side, a Kitchen, 'workspace', storage, as well as access points to my production facilities, often through underground passages allowing me to pop up anywhere in my colony, as well as a 'research facility' for the mods that require it. I think the horse would like to be called Socks. But what do I know.
I dig it, was thinking that myself. Socks or Stockings
Great start to ATM10 Sjin, i'd love to see you collect all the trees and maybe every crop in the game and have fields and fields of every crop, maybe a couple of other bases? and definitely more Lore and story telling!! loved it in your original series! #Stawfingers
If the tower close to your base is a Pillager post maybe that’s why there are so many patrols?
If you're talking about the square one with the beacon light, it's from EvilCraft! Shouldn't be spawning Pillagers... lol
@@VampiresLordTheUndeadLords not that one. Wasn’t there a tower he ran across he’d said he’d get to later. Maybe I’m remembering wrong.
I would love to see how the productive bees work. If not this series, maybe a future one.

If you keep the horse around Sjin, i suggest the names "Midnight" or "Ebony".
You can use snad (not sand) for faster sugarcane growth

I often think about sjins old farm… such a vibe
The poppys from the iron farms make for a good bonemeal farm. Hopper them into a Composter and hopper the bonemeal into a drawer.
The horse, name him 'Bond'. Make your basement a workshop.
My personal preference is lilacs as they have a bit more colour to them, but it's your farm so you do you!
I definitely like peonies better. (It's said pee·uh·nee, with the emphasis on the first syllable!) They're fluffier and have a prettier texture. They're some of my favorite flowers in real life, too, along with hydrangeas!

The horse is still gonna be great for getting around the farm. Also I also always name my horses PuddleCrumb in games. it's like SeaBiscuit but like way less
peony has always been my fav flower in minecraft.
Forget the lilac and the peony, the allium is where its at.

I was bopping to the time-lapse music!
You could always disable raids if you're really bothered by them
lilacs for the win. I still think you and BrryHrry should do a speed run farm thing with everything you both know.
I love peonies and this series
the NPC giggle at the end is kind ominous XD
Black Bess - The name of Dick Turpin's horse (It wasn't actually Black Bess historically though I just really like it)
I kind of like the idea of Bee'd the World. Just use bees for everything. It'll be funny. Also, lilacs.
So did anyone else hear that giggle at the last second of the vid??
I think I prefer the colours of lilacs better, the peonies look a little washed out. My favourite type of flowers though are lavenders because of the smell.

Well done Sjin.
call the horse Rocky or Balboa because he was the italian stallion 😆
Hi Sjin I prefer the rose bush much brighter but also you can click bone meal on top of the sugar cane to make it grow
Peony the Pony

drops teleporter on a hoe is insane
snad exists. and it's not a myth that sugar cane grows way way faster on it.
Hi sjin you can get infinite bone meal by using botany hopper pots with wheat or something and a compost bin from base minecraft
SNAD! Snap makes sugarcane grow faster
Sugar cane does grow faster on "snad" In ATM10, its part of utilitarian mod.
I think that sugar cane will actually grow faster on snad which is just two blocks of sand beside each other in a crafting grid.
Is the axe veinmining the leaves too when you get a tree? Might explain the durability going so fast, just a guess.
Sir Reginald 🎩
Lilacs!
that horse is wearing socks!
How about putting a few iron golems for the pillager problem, it should be a good band-aid fix until your colony gets up and running
Tree farm, you can use mine colonies forestry.
Artax... Just keep him away from mud *lol*
Instead of silent gear blueprints, just make the wooden templates. They're single use... but all they take to make are sticks, logs and a knife.
Name for a horse: Goliath, after Etienne of Navarre's big black Frisian from Ladyhawke.
Call the horse Dapper Dan since he's wearing a tuxedo
Hello Sjin,
Horse name: Socks
Chipped you have 6 tables and there is 7.
So you just want to rewatch an old series...? Go do that, who is stopping you? 😂
The horse should be named Bartholomew
Pitcher flower is my fav but Peonies i like then lilacs
