I'm a night mudlarker. I seem to find more at night. Also that was lovely of you to return those finds. I'm actually going to do the same very soon. Nice video. 😊
🤔 *Finite finds on a river's shoreline? I'd have to disagree with you on that one... Maybe a lake's shore, but a river is constantly moving and changing, bringing in and dropping off new things every time the tide changes. Not to mention all the goodies it brings down from up the river and deposits on the shore. There will never be a lack of finds on the Thames foreshore.*
I was surprised to see the blue feathered ware. I live in Michigan and have been working an old farm field which besides many Native American occupations, was also an 1830s homestead. I have found a number of pieces of the blue feathered. Just kind of cool!
Might be wrong but touching the pipe piece you picked up at 10.28 looks like a grey and white Victorian glass marble. Keep an eye open for those, but of course the more colourful ones get spotted first. Example but not Thames! ua-cam.com/video/UXUy9xQwwZI/v-deo.html
So did you take those stakes? I would have been too excited to leave them behind! I love your videos, but you do go a bit faster than I’d like. Just when I think I have found something, you move on! But you are working against the tide, so I understand your haste. Darn I wish I could be there! Thank you for sharing your search with us, I always enjoy them.
Its good to see somebody returning things they don't want or not taking everything. You get some people who take absolutely everything leaving nothing for anybody else or you get those people who take everything just to make 2 or 3 quid on ebay.
Stuart Weston Just FYI the British Museum does not record anything less than 300 years old. I met with the FLO for Kent and, despite having evidence of a Napoleonic era British Army Camp, the FLO stated that the BM was not interested because it was only 200 years old. I also learned that the FLO for the Thames in London is only part-time. imagine that???

Thanks Miss Anji!! I see no reason to hang on to it. Let someone else find it.

Each to their own opinion. Thanks for watching!

At 6:49 to the right of the brown triangle, a musket ball?
Thanks for commenting. Sorry it took so long to reply!
I swear I kept seeing clay marbles and musketballs, but maybe not? Could it be the pebbles that are fooling me?
Leone Dolliver Haha! I wish that was the case!!

Thanks. Ive gotten mixed reviews on this. Some people huh?
don't throw your junk back in to the river, record your finds and be responsible ,hand them to the museum let other people enjoy your finds,, ,,,
