I have used the souper cubes for around a year (?). I think they are great. I make giant pots of soups and stews and there are always portions left over that my family wouldn't eat and I would wind up throwing out. I now put them in souper cube. Once frozen I individually vacuum seal them and they stay fresh in the freezer for a very long time. You can reheat the bag in a pot of boiling water or use the microwave. Very convenient!
I love my souped cubes! I have the large 2 cup size and what I do is a bake items into an individual size vs a large family pan. Then I put it in the freezer to freeze for about 12-24 hours. Once frozen I use my vacuum sealer to ensure they last longer in the freezer.
One thing that you missed about the price on the souper cubes is that it’s not just silicone they are reinforced with metal (I forget what kind but it’s thick) so that they hold their shape and the silicone is thicker than any other silicone trays that I have found for freezing portions of food
The Soupers are FANTASTIC! I use them constantly, and you can bake in them. I make 5 quarts of everything whenever I cook, and fill the Soupers, freeze them, and then wrap in parchment paper and plastic wrap into a large freezer Ziplock for longterm freezing. The universal size maximizes freezer storage space. 2 cup ones are great for lasagna, shepherd’s pie, stuffed peppers with rice, soups, stews, etc. The 1 cup for spaghetti sauce. The 1/2 cup is where all the veggies go, meats, mashed or sweet potatoes, etc. We then have bento glass bowls. (You’ll have to cut some of the frozen food to make it fit in some cases, but no big deal.) We pick what veggie, potato, and meat we want for dinner and cook it in a HotLogic (like a hot plate crockpot - look it up) while we shower after work. Get home, pick food, put into Bentos, then right into HotLogic, shower, and eat, ta-da, great relaxing evening without cooking. Best part no dishes beyond the two bentos we ate in. Fantastic. Once we have some meals stocked up in the freezer I RARELY have to cook. No fast food restaurant, only home cooked meals we love, and don’t have to cook! This is a Bento for the 1/2 cup meal components: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08C2XPBW9/ I have the same brand of dishes for the 2 cup and for the 1 cup Souper meals. Cannot recommend the Soupers more highly!
I use the Shape and Store burger containers. They save a lot of space in the freezer because of the flat uniform size. I use the patties though as rough estimates for other recipes (roughly 1/4 pound hamburger each). It is nice if you are cooking for two.
I have the burger press and I love it. I put wax paper in the bottom, make the patties, turn them out and make more putting wax paper in between each layer. I place them on a cookie sheet overnight in the freezer, and then I put them in ziplock baggies in the freezer until I need them. The press gets cleaned and put away until I run out of burgers. 😃
For both the meat patty and stew freezing thing, once it has froze, you can take it out and individually packed them into maybe ziploc bag or vacuum bag then chuck it into the freezer, it would take up less space without the freeze tray. It free up the tray again to either keep it away or start freezing a new batch.
I have two sets of the souper cubes. I love these. I made many batches of soup and froze them individually. I have enough soup for the winter. It can be a pain to get them out, so I run the backs under water for 30 seconds. I bought another brand but they fell short. When not freezing soup I make large Ice cubes to keep water cold for a long time in summer. Excellent reviews
I LOVE my souper cubes. I got the 4 pack for like 70$ as a housewarming gift from my husband And I have used them countless times in the last couple of years. If anything ever happens to them, I would absolutely replace them for full price.
I have more than 10 one cup Super Cubes and 2 half cup. I love mine absolutely no complaints. They fit better in the freezer inside the cubes. The half cup makes ice cubes that last my entire drink plus.
i have the shape and store. i smash the hamburger up and add onions or whatever in before putting in container. once frozen, remove and put in freezer bag. it isn't meant to keep in the freezer, the food will freezer burn in it. you can store in the refrigerator, not the freezer.
I got the eight quarter lb burger maker, the four half lb burger maker and the 32 one ounce meatball maker. Mix up burger, spices, and other stuff freeze transfer to freezer baggies date and use as needed. So easy and can pick up the ingredients on sale. Haven't got the mini slider mold yet.
I use the burger press primarily because I like to meal prep ahead of time and I can do a ton of burgers that I can just then pull out easily. I typically don’t have soup left over, but I definitely have 6 of the souper containers because I typically make a very large batch of chicken bone broth and these are perfect for freezing it in.
you can get like 2lbs of frozen, pre packaged cauliflower rice from sams club for $6. no extra gadgets needed, no need to have fresh cauliflower around. just need some freezer space. its great stuff.
The silicone thing seem like good ideas for portion control and / or people who are single / elderly. A simple idea, but seems more useful than a lot of the gimmicky items.
My partner and I bought the 4 cup souper cubes (2 cup portions) in a pack of two and they are my favorite thing in the kitchen next to my vacuum sealer!! We usually take them out once frozen and vacuum seal them to save space.
I've been using the Souper Cubes for a while now & I love them. You just pop the cubes out into a Ziploc bag & you've got the perfect amount you need each time.
I have a couple three of the burger presses and I was unaware it was featured on Shark Tank. I like the Souper Cubes, it seems great for portioning, freezing and stacking meals. I think a box grater would probably do as good a job with the cauliflower and likely easier.
I got one of the Burger Masters after watching this (I had been looking at them on Amazon for a while), and I really like it. Had no trouble getting the burgers out with freshly pressed burgers. Instead of storing them in the press in the freezer I plan to freeze them and them pop them out and put in freezer bags.
That Souper Cube would be perfect for chili and soup season here. There’s only three of us and most recipes leave a good amount of leftovers. This would be good for freezing them up and then bagging for the freezer to pull out portions later.
I ordered The Burger Master from Amazon shortly after watching your review. It actually came in a cardboard sleeve. For the first time, I was able to make even burgers. Since I have a small freezer, I put the frozen patties in a freezer bag for storage. Then, I made sausage patties and meatloaf patties. Now I can make eight individual servings in one sitting. There were pictures attached to the listing I ordered from that showed putting soup in the Burger Master's top and using the bottom as the lid in order to make and freeze individual servings of soup (something that I'm not going to try sometime soon).
I love my Souper cubes (although I have a knockoff brand)! I have food prepped many different things and froze them, then took the frozen cubes and vacuum packaged them. It's a space and time saver!
The hamburger press looks great but then I realize that I never once thought "I wish I had a gadget that would save me these 20 second of hamburger making"
I like them for the uniformity. If you had a food truck or something you could use a couple of these to prep tons of burgers and make sure they're all the same size. You wouldn't even have to freeze them in the forms, but you could. I've prepped burgers with scales and biscuit cutters and its a PITA
I’ve used the souper for a couple of years. You can wrap the blocks in regular plastic wrap then drop into the freezer bag. The bag stays clean and reusable.
I like the burger press. Makes quick work of making uniform patties and easy storage in the freezer. I like the Souper Cubes, but I would probably use it more for huge ice cubes. The Cauliflower Ricer works, but I would use the Ninja too.
I bought a 2-pk burger press at Costco a few years ago. I really like it for portion sizing hamburger for my recipes. Also I use it reverse to how you showed. I find it easier to fill and pop meat out of the hex side and for putting the lid on and off.
Shout out to the Gotham Pasta Pot. I bought it years ago after I saw your review. It still is holding up fine. A little wobbly/warped at the bottom, but it does the job just fine.
The burger press is definitely useful. Quick old trick. Just smack the whole thing on a hard surface to separate and you can portion them in Ziplock bags. Im definitely buying.
I like the idea of the Souper Cubes, however, I'm wondering if odors , like garlic, onions, etc. stay in the silicone. Nobody mentions that, so I'm assuming they wash out very well. I never have that luck with silicone items, no matter how long I soak them, I still have that smell from certain foods that never seem to wash out. Bailey is just adorable and has mastered the ''I'm starving to death" look. What a sweetie !!
Silicone definitely holds onto strong smells. I can attest with instant pot liners and super cubes. You can only get so much of that smell out even with a dishwasher run a couple times.
Never put hot foods into silicone or wash in hot water. Wipe the food off with baking soda first, before soap and warm water. If what you have is 100% silicone, you heat it in the oven, and it will release the odors. I have even done the gasket for a thermal mug in the oven. The silicone expands when it is heated. So, the odors become trapped in between the molecules as it cools. When heated it lets them back out.
I'm really digging the burger press, makes burgers super easy and uniform. I would get one if I had the freezer space, so I still hand pat my burgers which is still ideal because I can make my burgers as big as I want
I really like the first 2 products, I wonder if you were to spray the burger press and the ice thing with a little pam cooking spray, they may pop out easier, I like them though!! The ricer thing I don't think I have a use for, at least not yet, lol. As always, great video my friend!
I agree about the first two being the best! If those burgers had been more of a problem to pop out, I would have sprayed it, and that probably is the solution if they are difficult to remove.
That first one seems fantastic if you have a family to feed. If you are single not so much. The second device looks very nice. Freezer bag might freeze them into one big block. Maybe put some parchment paper between the cubes.
@@kennethanway7979 I'd assume that since it starts cold already, it freezes faster which means the ice crystals that form will be smaller, preventing freezer burn.
Refrigerating will slightly dehydrate the surface making the meat freeze faster. It'll also cool the meat allowing it to freeze faster and more evenly.
Hmmm. The burger press and the super cube both look interesting. After freezing a person could vac seal any number of patties or cubes and have them in the freezer long term.
Thanks for the meal prep gadgets. I don't like making hamburger patties by hand or paying a higher price for pre-made patties. That hexagon press looked great.
I was skeptical about yhe souper tray at first too but loved mine so much, I had to get a second. Yeah, they're kind of expensive *buuuut* been using them almost constantly for something like 8 years now and they're still going strong without even so much as a single stain so at this point, I think it's a case of "you get what you pay for." And all the food I've stopped wasting pretty much paid for them long ago imho. Also, running them under the tap for a couple seconds like you would an ice tray prevents getting any of those stubborn cubes that just don't want to come out. Not overfilling or forgetting about them in the freezer helps too. Lol. And finally, I generally like to wrap each cube in foil before tossing them into the bag before I label the outside with a sharpie. It gives me a lot more time before it picks up any funky flavors from the freezer. Lol.
I might pick up that Super Cubes. Mom and I make a lot of soups and stews ahead to freeze and I think these will be perfect. Plus, I won't keep running out of dishes lol.
At 1st, I thought the burger press was pretty good. It *is* if you need to store flat. Otherwise, why not just flatten it out in a pan, or even on the counter, cut in a grid, & stack with paper between or lay flat in a bag? Pretty much the same with the next one. If you have to put food away while warm &/or transport it somewhere & it has to be that shape. Otherwise, regular containers should suffice. I wouldn't want to store or wash either of those. Same for the ricer. I agree that it's good if you need to make it frequently &/or have multiple uses &/or if power is a factor. Always nice to see Bailey & always a pleasant vid.
The only thing I’ll say about freezing soup is that potatoes lose their texture and I don’t particularly care for it, but it doesn’t bother my husband at all, so that might just be a preference thing.
I have different sizes of soupercubes and love them. I use for soups and chilli and the bigger 2 cups for lasangas, shepherds ie etc. they can cook in the oven which is great too. Their website has some excellent recipes . thanks for the video
Both the hamburger and soup container looked good but like you said the portions were small. I use a tupperware container to press my hamburgers in and then I turn them onto a sheet of saran wrap and then wrap the whole thing in the wrap and freeze them. Just peel them off. A bigger patty and it fits a couple slices of bread when out of buns.
I thought he would have the stew with some rice or pasta - I think then the portion would make sense. Otherwise, it would be good for baby food portions
For portion control the burger press and cubes will be great. I make tons of Cauliflower rice in my Super Shooter with the grater drum. The other seems a uni-tasker.
I would like you to test and compare different analogues of the Genius Nicer Dicer vegetable chopper, because the original is quite expensive. Thank you in advance!
Love the burger press but my husband likes bigger burgers. I made him 2 1 lb burgers yesterday.......like the Souper cubes. The ricer looks good thanks for trying these things
ngl, I thought that the burger press would be a stupid idea but then the storage thing was the real draw. portions out quarter pound portions of ground meat. really useful imo.
I would either load that hambuger mold the other way (load the cups), or I would use the bottom, and rather than freeze it in the device, I would turn them out fresh onto a lined cookie sheet and freeze and transfer to ziplocks - that way you could make a lot burgers at once, not just 1 round of 'em at a time. I have the souper cubes, they are great for dealing with leftovers.
I want to see what happens if you put soup in the buger maker and burger in the soup cuber. 🤔 Soup Hexagons and Burger Cubes. Also how many Soup Cubes would it take to make a soup-gloo
I might have to pick up that burger press, I prefer to make and freeze 1/8 pound patties but I don't see why it wouldn't work for that as well. Sure would save me a lot of hassle compared to the way I do it now which is to meticulously weigh and shape them with a ring mold on a cookie sheet.
Souper Cubes... I saw someone on Dragon's Den pitching frozen food like that, for portion control. I thought it was genius. Dragons weren't interested. I bought some silicone mini-loaf trays and started making my own frozen portions. The mini-loaf trays cost a fraction of what Souper Cubes wants. Oh, the mini-loaf trays don't have a lid. So I put something on top of it when freezing. Once frozen I shrink wrap them before putting back in the freezer again.
Great video As always should remove some counter top ice makers like budgets one then more expensive ones that make nugget ice would be great video especially for summer

If Ninja does a infomercial for that chopper and DOESN'T hire James as the pitchman, they are all clinically insane.
Bailey: "So u didn't make me a burger. I see". Pets r so good at guilting us.
I freeze soup and stew by putting a freezer bag inside a margarine container. Same result but easier to place in a full freezer as each is individual.
The burger press looks pretty good and I’ll definitely consider buying one. I like that the burgers are all the same size.
It is nice to get all of the burgers to be a uniform size and shape.
Great storage also
If you have a family to feed it's worth it. See my comment on what I do. 😃
i have the shape and store. i smash the hamburger up and add onions or whatever in before putting in container. once frozen, remove and put in freezer bag. it isn't meant to keep in the freezer, the food will freezer burn in it. you can store in the refrigerator, not the freezer.
Love my Souper Cubes. I have some in every size. You can bake in them, too!
My partner and I bought the 4 cup souper cubes (2 cup portions) in a pack of two and they are my favorite thing in the kitchen next to my vacuum sealer!! We usually take them out once frozen and vacuum seal them to save space.
You are the best out there. I usually don’t buy anything until I see if you did a review on it. Hey, thanks so much.
You've got a good supervisor there with you.😊
Found both freezer moulds in South Africa ( makro and yuppiechef) I'm a happy camper. For a small household, these are great.
I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I can just feel my hand cramping up, watching him do that cauliflower rice grinder
B vitamins
Lmao same, I'm a strings/keys player and my left hand felt that xD
Plus it's kinda dumb to have that in freezer once a few r missing. Wasted space
I'll give it points for being nice and flat, whether you keep the shape of it or not, it may be useful for portioning
I like them for the uniformity. If you had a food truck or something you could use a couple of these to prep tons of burgers and make sure they're all the same size.
You wouldn't even have to freeze them in the forms, but you could.
I've prepped burgers with scales and biscuit cutters and its a PITA
😸
@@aisforannihilation1662that's why you portion them in Ziploc bags afterwards -_-
I’ve used the souper for a couple of years. You can wrap the blocks in regular plastic wrap then drop into the freezer bag. The bag stays clean and reusable.
I love that burger press I might just buy that! I love turkey burgers for my meal prep on top of my rice and the shape just makes it more fun.
James, I think the pot that you used to reheat your frozen stew has seen better days😂😂😂👀
7:57 seems useful for grinding up large amounts of something else :D
Will baking soda help with removing the smell?
Never put hot foods into silicone or wash in hot water. Wipe the food off with baking soda first, before soap and warm water.
If what you have is 100% silicone, you heat it in the oven, and it will release the odors. I have even done the gasket for a thermal mug in the oven. The silicone expands when it is heated. So, the odors become trapped in between the molecules as it cools. When heated it lets them back out.
@@lisab.1595 The thing I look to avoid is staining. Easy solution; line the Souper cubes with plastic wrap before freezing.
Best episode ever, I like this kind of kitchen stuff
I think the Ninja in the last won by a mile, not only quick but a multitasker. Great video, thanks.
If you want the burgers to come out without freezer burn, place them in the fridge uncovered for 1 hour, then freeze.
How does that work?
@@kennethanway7979 I'd assume that since it starts cold already, it freezes faster which means the ice crystals that form will be smaller, preventing freezer burn.
@@AirLancer cool! That makes sense... thanks!
@@AirLancer I thought freezer burn was when the surface of frozen items, meat or vegetables were dehydrated by moisture loss..
Bailey in the background wanting that burger patty.
Lol.
I've used that Super Cubes item. Works fine exept the pasta sauce leaves a red tint.
I might pick up that Super Cubes. Mom and I make a lot of soups and stews ahead to freeze and I think these will be perfect. Plus, I won't keep running out of dishes lol.
The burger press and souper cube look real handy, especially for meal prep and stuff
1:28 He even washed his T-Shirt into blue! 😄
What I didn't like about the hamburger one is that you could already see frost. Which means there will be freezer burn soon. So it is not airtight.
For portion control the burger press and cubes will be great. I make tons of Cauliflower rice in my Super Shooter with the grater drum. The other seems a uni-tasker.
Well, I did put the Burger Press and the Souper Cubes in my amazon wish list...
A potato masher and ricer will do the same job to steamed cauliflower. No extra tools or pwer required. 😊
🙄
I want to see what happens if you put soup in the buger maker and burger in the soup cuber. 🤔 Soup Hexagons and Burger Cubes. Also how many Soup Cubes would it take to make a soup-gloo
I like your thinking! 😂
How about a recipe for your stew? Love your content 👍🏻
been using those soupers cubes for almost a year. mostly for big icecubes that lasts forever. used almost daily still works as brand new
The freezer thingy could easily be replaced with a couple of the new block shaped ice trays from Dollar Tree, but it's a great idea!!
Thanks James!
3:30 Missed opportunity there. You should have made the hex shaped burgers in the hexclad pan lol.
I LOVE my Ninja chopper and would never go to a manual chopper! ❤🎉
The second one is essentially a deeper ice cube tray.
Now they'll have to try soup frozen in a regular ice cube tray!
I'd buy an extra and make my homemade soap.
That Cauliflower ricer reminds me of a giant pot grinder lol
Probably a good use for it.
Nice review, both the burger press and the souper seemed useful! Really liked the outtro music as well, nice vibe!
The burger press is pretty neat. I have one that does individual burgers, but never did my mind conceive you could press eight burgers all at once!
Hi. , love your videos . Always looking forward to the next one . Would it possible to test the spin mops , scrubbing brush that’s always on TikTok ? Thanks
Glad plastic storage containers work just as well in the freezer and are a lot less expensive.
