Back when we were 16/17 my first cousins dad bought him a cherry 1966 Olds in red on red, 455 and it was a smoking car. It was fun watching it come out of a burnout. It was parked a couple years later and sat for twenty years before someone bought it restore. Lost track of it after that.
When I was young, we had a teal-ish 68 Olds Tornado. I have a picture of my dad, sister and I standing next to it. I remember the outside and the crazy shape! I also have the Evel Knievel Lagonda in black. What’s not to love about the old JL cars!
Pretty cool haul. The Lagonda was a Aston Martin. I can remember a ad in magazines for,I think, Autolite featuring it. I think Johnny Lightning also released it in the Evel Knievel collection. The Toronado was a cool car with the pop up lights, front wheel drive and the rear reminded me of a 70 Firebird look. Ive also got a few of the older Topper Johnny Lightning cars too.
Love the red gto❤ can't believe you put the clip on it 😂😂😂🤦🤦💩💩 nice cars👍 like the pink Jag👍.that turquoise look's fantastic on that car❤.that lagonda is wicked cool ❤
28:53 the MGB had a Street Freaks pair done not long ago. And the Sunbeam had a Classic Gold pair from 2020 and a Pop Culture James Bond one a couple years back
15:35 no plastic wheel for this GTO. Generally speaking they didn't do those wheel variations for the Classic Gold line. Mostly saw it with Muscle and Spoilers at the time I believe
I like the teal/green Catalina. Love that color. And the Tornados, especially the blue one. Johnny Lightning does a good job with these, but they're not amazing. I'm geting spoiled by the premiums out there like Mini Gt, Tarmac, etc. Oh that one of those companies would dive deep into making these 60s and 70s muscle cars, but do them amazing! I would pay $20 or even $30 for a muscle car done really premium.
That was a weird era to collect. MBX was a mess. HW mainlines were generally terrible. HW 100% was nice but extremely expensive. Then there was JL knocking it out of the park with these. Most of my diecast money in that era went to JL.
I really like the old johnny lightning very cool diecast 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Most of those were really spectacular. I was impressed! Johnny really knows how to do muscle cars, that’s their specialty I guess.
Johnny lightning! Yes! ❤
Grats on 16K subs man :) I love Johnny Lightning for sure

What originally attracted me to JL way back in the mid 80s during my 2nd wave of collecting were the American Muscle Cars I grew up loving so much.

The Catalina was my favorite. Those are really nice.

It’s a “really Tasty” lot of Jhonny, “special”all of them.
Congrats!
P.D.: I needddddd the Lagonda one!!!!!!!!!! 👀
The GTO’s and the Firebird are my picks👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Super geniales
Fun stuff. The Sunbeam, by the way, is also a Bond car. I like the Riviera.
White Lightning or not that one would be going in the discard/donate/wrecking yard diorama.
Enjoy your Halloween, collectors.
May the season keep the pegs full!
You are correct they are Aston Martin. You are the one that originally told me. They did use it recently because I got the WL so I was quite happy.
First championdjk
We are all very proud of you for being first

Charlie got a taste of fame last week and wants another piece.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Brown Toronado my fav
Funny you mention the DeMuro vid. Check out the plate on the Version A Lagonda from JLCG024.

Fun fact the old tornado was the first front wheel drive American car.
I have most of JL Pontiac’s,but I don’t remember the Coke Firebird.
That’s Toranado is similar to the Buick Riviera but by the time the early 80s came about they had the same body styles as some Caddys.
I’m surprised JL hasn’t made more Toronado’s. I would like to see JL make a 67 Riviera and 69 Grand Prix.
I would love to buy your johnny lightning card collection if you post to Australia

11:45 I just picked up the WL of this Firebird haha
like @michaelelmore5103 said, the Tornado was front wheel drive, which was kinda innovative for that period.
26:50 didn't you get one of the recent-ish Classic Gold releases of this SSR, in red or dark blue, as an example of it? Haha
Does the first Dodge Coronet have opening trunk? It almost seems like he does..
Robocop the first movie
