Just put a dab of coconut oil on my sticker residue, left it for 30 secs and wiped it away with paper towel!! totally worked! I have a mac for anyone wondering if this little trick works on a mac
I tried it it really works like magic I leave it for 10 min as u said and after I removed everything with the card I cleaned with paper towel in the end
I just did this last night and I want to say that it worked wonderfully. I had so many stickers on the front of my laptop and I was able to remove the glue from all of it. You can't even tell that they were there! Thank you this really worked!
Thank you so much! I put many stickers in my nitro 5 2019 ver, and it got sprinkled with some water and some of my stickers were like sticking out and there were some adhesive residue and I was going to give up like buy a new cover for the back of my laptop but when I searched this on UA-cam some videos have stickers on I was like wow there might be no hope for me no more. Till I scroll and scroll down. I immediately saw your thumbnail and clicked directly. All I can say is thank you so much you deserve my like and my subscribe!
Note as a 20 year IT Admin I highly suggest to be much more careful with spraying the WD-40 onto the Laptop. Tape over vents and ports with painters tape to prevent it from easily getting into them and wipe any excess off immediately so it doesn't run into any vents, ports, cracks or crevices. But WD-40 works great for sticker and label removal.
Kerosene also works as a great alternative too. You don't even need to wait for 10 minutes for it to work. You can just put a decent amount of kerosene on a cloth and you can start wiping the stuff off immediately. At first it also had the small ring thingy that the sticker left but it somehow disappeared after a few days.
it happen I have “Remington Rem-Oil with Teflon Lubricant” at home, I spayed small amount on the towel and wipe it on the sticker residue on macbook pro aluminum unibody, it remove the sticky residue easily without damaging the aluminum surface
Thank you it worked perfectly on the sticker not the residue so it works for both thank you so much it help me a lot with my mom‘s MacBook Air that she gave me
thanks man helped a lot. I got some ThinKpads today that had a lot of crap on it but I could not get this stuff off. i didnt have wd40, but i used blaster
this definately did take the stickers off but i dont know if i did it wrong cs the wd40 seeped into my screen and now its all messed up so yeah thats a bummer🙄
you might need to give it a second dose and try the cleaning again, if your talking about the actual adhesive. otherwise, its probably just discoloration and there isn't much you can do about that.
Unfortunately, i am unsure how the WD-40 would react with the rubber surface, but i am guessing it would eat away at the rubber finish. i know this technique does work with glass, metal, and hard painted surfaces.
unfortunately, i do not have a solid solution for that issue. the only solution i am aware of, which i wouldn't suggest trying, is try to bleach out the unbleached part.
i cannot say with 100% certanty as there are too many variables with it comes to protecting paint, but i've used it on automotive paint in the past and its been just fine for me.
It depends on if there are vents, but I'm guessing there are vents. In which case, I would not suggest this as the spray could damage components if it gets in.
yes, it should work just fine on a Mac. the only thing I would caution you on, if you have a model with it, is to not let the WD-40 get on/in the lit Apple logo.
this is meant for a surface that is smooth and made out of metal, plastic, or glass. HOWEVER, this method is not advisable for display screens. i hope this helps.
there is no easy way for this. basically the case has been sun bleached except for where the sticker was. i have seen some people put on a nice vinyl wrap after cleaning the old sticker off, giving a flat and clean surface to start with.
This worked...thanks for this amazing and simple video.
Loving the "getting sticker adhesive off your laptop" type music.
Right 😂😂
Haha 100% 🤣

What a sofisticated video edition.

thank youu!
SUPER - 10!!!!!! VERY GOOD!!!!!!
Thanks! . Very useful!
So satisfying 😍
ok your method is great but not everyone has wd-40 or if you cant find it you can use rubbing alcohol, I used 70% but that is up to you.
Thank you so much you saved my laptop
Yehuda David does it ruin your laptop
Will it cause any damage to it
yeah hell no my sticker was just next to the vent holes and speaker holes so if i use this method there is around 90% chance my laptop will fry
Then try some mineral oil. It doesn't conduct electricity.
Just cover the holes
Awesome, this worked on my laptop! Now if only I could stop putting stickers on stuff 🤔
i totally understand this comment...i love stickers! I've put stickers on just about everything.
good job
We doing same work God bless our best skills I'm salisu Umar faruk from bauchi steta Nigeria

Thank you it was helpful !!!!!

I'm glad this helped you out! please show your support and sub!
thank you so much!
Just get a washcloth use hot water and soap and rub it off. Ring out your washcloth before though but this is really effective.
Definitely helped thanks
Thanks buddy appreciation from india
thank you, this worked for my webcam but now my hands smell like wd-40
do anyone know if this works on macbook ? cus i know the material / texture is different
how do i get rid of that adhesive ring?
you might need to give it a second dose and try the cleaning again, if your talking about the actual adhesive. otherwise, its probably just discoloration and there isn't much you can do about that.
Wow! Thanks!
Does this method also work for laptop screens?
no, not for the screen itself.
Could I use the method for removing nail glue off my laptop case?
I have no experience with nail glue, so I cannot give any advice.
Saved myblife bro
Okay but how do I remove the outline that remains after?
What about an old IBM X60? It has a grippy texturized (rubbery) surface. Or do you know? Thanks.
Unfortunately, i am unsure how the WD-40 would react with the rubber surface, but i am guessing it would eat away at the rubber finish. i know this technique does work with glass, metal, and hard painted surfaces.
Ok, thanks.
guys, do you recommend me to put stickers on my laptop?
If it's your laptop, you can if you want. But if you're looking at videos on how to remove them, then I would recommend you not put them on.
Will it work on an Envy HP Laptop with metal surface !
yes, it should
Hi.. i did it but the color changed on the edges ... is there any solution 4 that
There can be a discoloration from the sticker, and I haven't found a way to match the colors.
Does it work for switch???
It should, yes.
how about key board keys from sticker?
Spray a small amount into a cup and use a q-tip/cotton swab for controlled application.
Life saver my parents were gonna kill me
How could I clean the residue on my laptop keyboard ?
Rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab (q-tip). use gentle but firm pressure.
@@KurtSchwob alright, thank you so much !
can someone tell me did the wd-40 leave some kind of smell to your laptop
other than the initial spray and cleaning, it did not leave any lasting smell.
now how do you get rid of that bleached effect on the laptop????
unfortunately, i do not have a solid solution for that issue. the only solution i am aware of, which i wouldn't suggest trying, is try to bleach out the unbleached part.
Will it damage the bike paint?
i cannot say with 100% certanty as there are too many variables with it comes to protecting paint, but i've used it on automotive paint in the past and its been just fine for me.
Scrape*exhales while saying it*
Does this work on plastic
It should, yes.
Can you use oil?
I have heard that oil works, but it probably depends on what kind is used and other than coconut oil, I haven't tried any.
Can you do a cardboard tutorial?
Could i use this for the bottom of the laptop
It depends on if there are vents, but I'm guessing there are vents. In which case, I would not suggest this as the spray could damage components if it gets in.
Dude could you please elaborate WD-40
badass!!! thanks
Olive oil saved me 😘
What if I don't have wd-40 ? How can I do it
coconut oil works really well, too.
What's the substitute for WD-40? 😢
anything that is considered to be a Penetrating Oil should be suitable. WD-40 is in this classification.
does that work on a Mac? because stuck on an apple sticker and there was sticker residue left over
yes, it should work just fine on a Mac. the only thing I would caution you on, if you have a model with it, is to not let the WD-40 get on/in the lit Apple logo.
It works men thnx but alcohol is faster
Does it work on televisions?
this is meant for a surface that is smooth and made out of metal, plastic, or glass. HOWEVER, this method is not advisable for display screens. i hope this helps.
What the liquid to remove
@@lokesh6643 i used WD-40. Typically comes in a spray can.
What laptop
Does wd40 water resistant work
i have only tried the original version, but i believe the water resistant version should work.
is wd the only option?
no, there are a few options you can take. i've done another video (ua-cam.com/video/2j3O2QspIrw/v-deo.html) exploring some of them.
So the wd-40 somehow got into my screen! And I’m pissed
wow, i am so sorry that happened. do you know what allowed the spray to get into the monitor? was there too much spray or a broken seal?
Lol
Lmao!!
@@timosness3667 it’s not funny you piece of shit
I put a little skin so soft from Avon on it then ues a old gife card.
Waow, I need this
Thanks😄👍
i need help how to even remove them
Hi, how can i remove the spot that remains in the notebook? after i took off the sticker. I have a asus zeenbook.
there is no easy way for this. basically the case has been sun bleached except for where the sticker was. i have seen some people put on a nice vinyl wrap after cleaning the old sticker off, giving a flat and clean surface to start with.
Kurt Schwob and it worked? Do you believe that after a period of time the surface can be equally?
