It’s sad the hate this game got. They really put in a lot of effort. They did this whole scene and some people could’ve just passed by it. Never checked the building and found the guitar case. But came out great anyway. Maybe if they just put a little more effort into story writing people would’ve appreciated it more
And the worst thing about it some people are so angry and mad ,because of their fanficion ideal of the last of us part 2 are destoryed, the mad fanbase some people of them unleash it to all the Developers, animators ect they sue them and being very rude impolite ...im not a big Fan of naughty dog either they Made mistakes too, naughty dog self said it is an controversy gameplay and 50% people gonna like it and the others dont and i Think its very brave to do it
Honestly I thought the story writing was great, it seems to me most people who don't like it is not due to poor story writing but more due to the fact that they don't like the route naughty dog took with the story arc. Most stories use the good/bad, hero/villain dichotomy as a crutch and stories like that are a lot more palatable simply because they don't require self reflection or critical thinking on the part of the viewer. This game is all story, just a story style that makes a lot of people uncomfortable, hence all the hate

The first game also had a gay couple in it! Never seen this much hate specifically towards homosexuality in the first one! I mean if you only judge it by homosexuals then you got problems cause you need to think about gameplay when you play a game obviously! It’s not only the story that matter in a game.
