- Hardtop are large unwieldy things that usually require two people at least. I used a set of winches to remove my top easily and with just one person.

Cool set up. Is there a big price differences between your set up and an electric winch. Seems like an electric winch would be a lot more convenient
nyc_jeep_wrangler, electric is definitely an option for some people. With my garages height restrictions, using two winches help reduce the amount of chain I needed because the two winches are directly over the lifting points. I guess I could have used two electric winches, but then the cost would be higher and I'm not sure it makes it that much easier. Right now, it takes me about 10 minutes to completely remove my hardtop. It is secure, I can store it there, or lower it to the floor to be stored further back in the garage longer term. Everyone has slightly different requirements based on their garage and budget. I'm pretty happy with what I have at the moment. It was a fun project to research the options and sketch it all out. The cost came in right about $100, which was my target. Thanks for watching and the subscribe!
