    We’ve done the same with my 2 littles (4&5). A year of Preschool and a year of Pre-K, the second year starting TGTB PreK. My 2.5yo is soo eager “to do school” and is always listening, I can’t wait to start the LOTW with her in a few months 🤩 I waited for official Handwriting for the others but she loves her write & wipe books so much now, I will also be adding TGTB doodles. Great idea 💡

    So excited to see this. I tried to start preschool a few months ago and was overwhelmed :( Hoping next go I can do it. Otherwise I'll end up sending them to public kindergarten because I have no confidence. By overwhelmed I mean I had zero patience. Not proud to admit that, but I got frustrated very easily when they didn't listen or just goofed off.

      Hi there! I just wanted you to know that I myself struggled w figuring out what would get my 3.5 year old to focus. You’re right, it does take a lot of patience! 😅 I had to try a lot of different things, but singing and making up songs for my active little guy REALLY worked. Do you have other homeschoolers near you? Maybe you can reach out and get some help that way, too. I just wanted to encourage you to try different things before deciding it’s not for you. And if it isn’t, it’s ok! Wish you the best! ♥️

    Deena! How on earth do you get all of your house work done and home school 5 children?! 😩 I don’t know how you do it. I can’t keep my children on a schedule and manage to get everything on top of it. Any tips???

    • @PursuingPeace
      @PursuingPeace  3 роки тому +7

      Oh sweet mama! It's ok to not get it all done. I have put routines into place but that doesn't mean it always gets done. In fact as I write this, I'm in the middle of a GIANT pile of laundry that needs to be folded because I couldn't get to it today. But I was able to read to my babies and snuggle with my 2 year old that has a molar coming in and doesn't feel well. So it's ok if things don't get done.
      But if you're really looking for some tips....I have a playlist called Homemaking with video on how I clean up. But again....remember my house still gets disheveled and my routines still fail me. It's only through faith and grace (😉) that anything gets done.

    Still trying to decide if homeschooling or not,
    - Would you say socialization is not an issue? I know u have 4 kiddos and that makes it easier.
    - Would you say homeschooling is more expensive than public schooling?

    • @anderiafrank4116
      @anderiafrank4116 3 роки тому +2

      Socialization is not an issue. I homeschool my first daughter for 5 years before my second daughter was born and she is a social butterfly. I now homeschool my 8 year old and 4 year and they both interact well with other children an adults. You just need to ensure they get exposure to being around other children and adults.

    • @mommywithacamera7212
      @mommywithacamera7212 3 роки тому

      I think homeschool can definitely be more expensive than public school. All public school requires is basic school supplies usually around $100 depending on age/grade level. If your child wears a uniform that could be another $150. That’s the main expense. For homeschool buying a curriculum bundle can cost around $200 just for one subject itself. So depending on which curriculum you choose, you could end up paying around $400-500 on Literature, reading, writing, grammar, math, science. Then supplies you will need that’s another $100 plus depending on your curriculum. If a curriculum doesn’t work for your child, you will have to find another that might work so thats another $100 plus. It’s definitely a lot of trail and error finding what suits your child and your lifestyle so you could end up spending quite a bit. Especially if you have a hands on learner like my daughter. We will require a lot of hand on activities to keep her focused and learning. So for us that means buying more physical items to incorporate into our learning. I’m starting this year too and I’m wide eyed at some of the expenses like wow I honestly never thought it could get that expensive. Once again this is just what I noticed for my child and I. I’m sure some people have been able to keep the cost low. That’s just not the case for me.

    • @mommywithacamera7212
      @mommywithacamera7212 3 роки тому

      I just remembered that I will be using a website called time4learning it’s $20 a month. You could use that as your only curriculum but I personally feel like it’s not enough. You could also just buy some workbooks on Amazon and some supplies. That’s probably going to be one of the most inexpensive ways to homeschool.

    Hi there,
    I am wondering if you could maybe give an estimate of how many ink cartridges one could budget out for if they were to do maybe 1 or 2 curriculum print outs like this preschool one you're showing. I love the way it looks, but I just can't decide if it'll be feasible with the ink usage. 🤔 So, I guess my question is about how many ink cartridges would you say to plan for in a school year with say, 2 curriculums printed out? And that would be included in everything else we print out as homeschooling mom's throughout the year. 🤣I know this is kind of a hard question, but maybe just an estimate?

    • @PursuingPeace
      @PursuingPeace  3 роки тому +1

      This really depends on what printer you have. I had a Brother INKvestment printer at the time and printed everything with one set of ink cartridges and still was able to print more. Now I have an ECOTank 3760 and I KNOW I can print all this out with maybe only about half the ink cartridges. So if depends on the printer.

      @@PursuingPeace Thanks so much! I have a very old old basic Canon printer from Walmart. 😅 I'm too afraid to upgrade, I don't want one that's gonna be all screen and driver update heavy. But, I just might someday. Anyway, I guess I'd say to set aside about 1/2 of a set if I wanted to print a whole preschool curriculum. 💃 Thank you!!

    Wow I’m amazed at this curriculum! So do you guys go through 1 letter a week? Meaning you guys try to complete all the worksheets for each letter a week? Or does it take more than a week for each letter?

    • @PursuingPeace
      @PursuingPeace  3 роки тому +1

      We can get it done in one week. But it can definitely be stretched out to 2 weeks if that's what you need. Some of the activities are the same for each letter. So if we're running out of time then I just skip a few of the repetitive activities. 😁
