halfway through the movie i couldn't guess who the killer might be so i was like "omg they should make a movie where one person accidentally kill themself and everyone starts thinking there's a killer and kill each other as a result" i really thought i was being a fucking genius and then when i saw the end i was actually pissed because i was like fuck they stole my idea

yo but can we just talk abt how none of the deaths were true murders? david killed himself by accident, greg was killed in “self defence,” emma slipped bc she was high, alice was shot in the struggle for the gun, and jordan fell over the railing in the fight. what a genius idea to have a slasher with no killer i cant get over that.

I think from a purely legal standpoint, you could argue that Alice and MAYBE Greg's deaths would constitute murder
The reason why the older guy had a knife, a map, and equipment was obviously because there was a hurricane. This is obviously to commentate how oblivious our generation can be. I mean, they already thought of making a hurricane party. It’s hilarious to see them question why he had a bunch of survival equipment.

Not me JUST realizing her eyes were open during the opening kiss scene because she had cheated on her a week before and didn't actually love her. It also seemed kinda like a rue/jules situation, where she traded in drugs and addiction for over-dependence on Bee.
Alice was definitely the star of the show, and Rachel Sennott stole every single one of her scenes. The twist was actually super unpredictable, and genuinely caught me off guard! 🥰
It was at the crying girls death, that it hit me… literally turned to my friend and was like “what if he accidentally killed himself?”😂😂

I figured it out when she killed Greg because he 100% didn't do it. Then, when Emma died from the stairs, a previous shot in the movie emphasized the 'handrail' on the stairs, so I kind of assumed she fell down.
I think it would've been if it had been someone other than Pete Davidson (not a criticism, I liked it better this way), but I swear as soon as I saw him slam into the window I was like "oh he for sure did this himself"

Casting Pete Davidson, arguably the most recognisable cast member, and then having him abruptly killed off, is a clever shout out to Drew Barrymore in "Scream."

spend the last 20 minutes staring at my laptop not knowing what spooky movie to watch and trin posts this, she’s so real
The ending had me laughing and feeling stupid at the same time. Normally, I over analyze movies and I'm able to figure out who it is after watching half of the movie so finding out there was no killer at all had me stumped 🤣
for me every person i guessed to be the killer so I felt like I was wrong and that maybe it was someone that we've never seen so it could be "unpredictable" which would've made it shit. and so I only assumed it was going to be a bad movie not that there was literally no killer. it was so good.
That break out into singing Hit The Lights by Selena Gomez & The Scene was unexpected and very much appreciated.

Rachel Sennott was an absolute hit. First thing I’ve seen her in (though Shiva Baby has been on my list for a while) and I simply do not have the language to describe how funny she is and how well she plays Alice. Good for her getting to climb over Lee Pace.
Watch Shiva Baby! Bestie, it's become one of my favourite movies ever - it somehow ends up scarier than most horrors of the last decade, I've watched it four times and Rachel renewed my faith in acting through it :)

I know some people aren’t big fans of Pete Davison but he improved a lot more in acting in this. It also makes perfect sense why they casted him.
Not a fan of the person honestly. But just an opinion.
i feel like ppl bash his acting but in every acting role i’ve seen him in ive loved his performance - i think he comes off as authentic because the character he’s playing is usually close to his own personality.
@@sarahbearbabygirl The personalities of his characters are pretty different. Zeke in BTA and Scott in TKOSA for instance. Zeke was chill and Scott was dramatic. Scott overreacted to things. David in Bodies comes from wealth and is full of himself and aggressive. Gary in Meet Cute is nebbish. You were not being negative, but I think a lot of people who don't like him use the narrative that his characters are similar to undermine him and his level of talent.
Hes a great actor, i think ppl just dont like his characters because he plays such realistic characters. Idiot guys who are pretty mediocre and funny because of the stuff they do, not even on purpose. Ive loved him since School Dance.

I've been watch horror movies since the mid 1970's, and this had a great twist. Loved it.
Feel like Trin would fit in with the characters of the movie with the constant suspicion 😂
Oh I love these sorts of endings! They think there's a killer and it results in the deaths of multiple people only for the trigger death to be an accident, then there's The Orphange (2007, dir. J.A. Bayona) where you think the ghosts did something with the kid but he got locked in the basement accidentally and died of starvation/dehydration and then also I'd put The Mist (2007) here, where the characters realise they're sitting ducks so they all commit suicide (except for the one guy) right before help comes lol.

i called the twist as soon as pete's character was found dead, but that's because i've watched waaay too many horror films for one lifetime! i thought it was a great movie. the horror genre is oversaturated with lazy slasher films that don't even try with the characters, making them a relatively boring and low stakes watch, but having the typical shallow and self-absorbed slasher stereotypes end up being the makers of their own demise was very fun and clever!
I saw this in the theater with my sister and we were crying laughing the whole time.
idk who will get this reference but this movie really reminds me of tucker & dale vs. evil, except in tucker and dale the audience knows from the beginning that the deaths are accidents since it’s from tucker & dale’s perspective. bodies bodies bodies is like if we only saw it from the college kids’ perspectives. if you haven’t seen that movie i recommend checking it out i feel like it’s a funny twist on the “college kids in a cabin in the woods get murdered” horror movie trope. a little ridiculous at parts but i think overall an enjoyable comedy horror in a similar vein

I finally got round to seeing this in cinemas the other day, midday on a Wednesday and there was only one other guy in the theatre (and actually the whole cinema). The cinema itself was surrounded by closed restaurants. Definitely an uncomfy vibe for a good horror movie.
Having watched and knowing the ending…watching you guess over and over again was hilarious and then to see your reaction at the end …golden!
