25\25:-)) But I've got a question: in No23 "Before she performed at the club, she welcomed her guests" - would it be more correct to use Past Perfect in the second part?
Thanks for watching! We use before as a subordinating conjunction. We commonly use before with the past simple tense. It suggests that the second event happened soon after the first one. So, it is correct to use two past tenses in a complex sentence using before. Before she left, she gave everyone a present. She gave everyone a present before she left.
I did score 21 out of 25, I tripped up on some questions because they were kinda doubtful but even so I enjoyed this challenging English test because I don't worry too much about grammar concepts or rules. Language is such an endless adventure and I love learning English non-stop which has radically changed my life. Making mistakes is completely normal because we can learn so much from them. I'm still brushing up on my enormous English knowledge in order to communicate and hang out with English-speaking people of different cultures, lifestyles and stuff like that. Striving for perfectionism when learning to speak any language rather than your own can be very counterproductive and I really know what it means. After all, thank you so much for this unforgettable chance to measure my English skills over and over again ❤😊.
1:42 /9:05 answer can also be "IN SPITE OF" coz both meanings are almost the same so if I answered in spite of is it correct shall I considered it a point
thanks for creating these wonderful and useful tests
