I understand that feeling of pride and "pull to Italy". I've visited Italy 5 times in the last 14 years. I've just started my Italian Citizenship through sanguine through the consulate here. I live in Australia and my parents migrated to Australia back in the 60's. This conversation refers to Americans and I was just wondering does the same apply you are from Australia wanting to dual citizenship?
Is there any chance that they are going to change the laws on getting Citizenship through Grandmothers? My Grandmother was born in Italy never took American Citizenship and the fact that I have a 1948 case really adds a lot of grief to the paper trail based on the fact getting citizenship through women adds extra challenges (court) that wouldn't exist if I were getting citizenship through a Grandfather.
Grazie complimenti ciao
Have the adult children apply at the same consulate because they can easily reference the paperwork that was already used to apply for the parent’s citizenship recognition
The attorney said if naturalized before 1912 there is a disqualification? My GGF naturalized in 1892 according to census records and my grandmother was born in 1888. Is that a disqualification?
@A I Hello. I just got my results back from the naturalization search and they have no record of my GGF. I am wondering if he never naturalized like the census record said.
@@timb7725 The census was a guy knocking doors and oftentimes the language barrier added some info that didn’t exist. There is no record of naturalization means you are golden. Never mention that census ever again and never look back. You are in the clear. Get an official statement of “No naturalization records “ and bring that with your other papers and that is your ticket home.
Nothing is free… if it is socialized it either comes from taxes or debt. debt is just a national credit card that the youth will have to pay via taxes or inflation.
i HOPE THE LAW CHANGES....unfortunately we have left leaning governments in Italy. With the advent of "internet" and the movement of money, we have created or they are trying to create..this NEW WORLD UNIORDER" especially in the culturally deprived countries. Italy prides itself on its language and culture. I am not against in and of itself generational should require and be more limited at least to SPEAKING AND KNOWING ABOUT ITALY AND ITS CULTURE....In and of itself its not enough to have an Italian last name only, whose image abroad is always distorted.. that is NOT OUR IDENTITY!!!...WHY?..because that would be limiting our language and culture to only those and not other ethnic groups who speak and know about Italy....and its culture!!

I was wondering how to get an American college degree recognized in Italy, and what degrees are easily transferrable?

Italian citizenship requirements through a spouse
How does an Italian citizen by descent get his adult children registered as Italian Citizens by descent too?
Have the adult children apply at the same consulate because they can easily reference the paperwork that was already used to apply for the parent’s citizenship recognition
