Your son did a great job! And made an important comment “you are trying & that’s what counts”. Didn’t you say some place that we are supposed to be kinder to ourselves!? Thank you for all your wonderful designs, your generosity, your creativity & time! You are amazing & have made so many lives so much fuller with all your creations that so many of us gift to those we love! Thank you for being you Julie!!
God Bless you for all you do for us. I really appreciate the video. A picture is worth a thousand words. I had to laugh at the last step, thinking “ Oh Dear, I hope she doesn’t cut her mike cord. Lots of laughs. That would be my luck.
Thank you a hundred times over for adding the legs and ears as separate steps from the attaching of the back!!! That makes it soooo much easier and takes out a lot of room for mistakes.
This video is great. Thank you so much. I noticed when you did the bandana you switched from the embroidery foot to a regular foot. I didn't know you could stitch embroidery using a foot other than an embroidery foot! Is there a reason to change feet? Just curious. I'm going to get brave today and make the cat softie! I've been chicken to try - don't know why. The largest size I can do on my SE1900 is 5x7. Can't wait to see how I do. :)
This is such a cute doggie. I am sure you grand daughter will carry it everywhere! I do not like to do hand sewing, either! I don't like to repair clothing -- I would rather start from scratch and make a new garment than to have to repair one! :) So, you and I have something in common besides embroidery! Thanks for this awesome video!
Just found this tutorial. I have purchased the design for the dog and the bunny. Now that I know exactly how to do this I may get the cat as well. These turn out so cute. thanks for the easy to follow tutorial. I love your designs. I seem to buy a big bunch if them every time you have a sale. I am just an embroidery junkie I think.
It is so cute with the paw prints facing forward. Thanks for the updated file, I couldn't stuff the skinny legs and so I didn't, but unstuffed was just as cute.
Thank you! I just want to say I have noticed some things I really, really love in this video..... 1) The view out of your window! 2) The magnetic hoops!!!!! OMG, I love it.... I wish my embroidery machine brand would carry them!!! 3) the mother/son tag team to video making! 4) Your embroidery machine...... sigh...... too soon to think of a change in brand...... Again, thank you for the video tutorial.
Thanks for the time you put into this video. It makes for a much more enjoyable process when you are not trying something new blind! I can't wait for other tutorials.
Thank you so much for this video! It answered a lot of my questions. I was excited to find a softie friend I could make in the hoop for my grandchildren that I didn't have to trust my own hand stitching to attach the arms and legs. Please make more!!
Julie thanks for the video. I’m a visual person so it was wonderful. I made my first one today with a couple hiccups but in the end complete success. I’m so excited I’m going to start another one. I have six grandchildren so I have five more to go. Thank you so much for doing the video.
i need to make about 10 of these for christmas presents out of clothing for neices and nephews who lost their favorite uncle this year. I am conscerned about having enough fabric because it does look like you waste quite a bit
looks like you have the regular sewing foot on. does your machine work in embroidery mode with that foot?? I have a solaris and I am not sure it would do that. any reason for that??? thanks
I'm making my first dog (have made one cat) and this video is so helpful. Can't thank you enough. Mine is coming out well! Up the left side on the first pass I saw I caught the ear even though I taped it, but I was able to stop it, and pick out the stitches! I backed the stitches up and continued on, A-OK.
Thank you for this tutorial and the updates to the file. Oh my goodness, I had a terrible time trying to turn those legs on the old one!!! I am so happy to get the update!
Love the tutorial so much!!!! Can't wait to get started! What kind of tear away stabilizer do you use? Thanks again for the time spent for us with the tutorial!
Oh I love this and bought the pattern yesterday. Thanks for the in-depth video, much appreciated being a person who prefers visuals! lol I Love your easy going teaching method too. I don’t seem to have the file to run the final tack down to sew it all together. Could go back and use first placement/tack down line but concerned needle will end in centre and spoil things. Would you advise please? :)
Thank you for posting this video. I've been hesitant to trying this but now I have an idea of the process. I've sewn for years and embroidery but haven't ever tried this. Thank you, again! Very informative video! ♥️
My Epic splits your files in half, it will do the first half of the stitch out box then start stitching the ear. My color block list has 6 changes of colors, the first 3 are duplicated a second time. I can stop it and fix on something like this but on something larger i wouldn't know how. I adore these dogs and so will my granddaughter.
Julie, is there a Rabbit softie? Maybe I missed it. If you don’t maybe after your kitty one, and when you have time? Thank you for all of your designs. I love them and they always stitch out beautifully.
I purchased the bear one have. I had an issue getting it back to the spot I needed it to be after I took the hoop off to tape everything down. How do I get it to move back to that spot?
I use knit shirts for memory pillows. I also purchased a heart shape for embroidery and a verse on Etsy and have also made my own verse as well and laid that design in edit feature in the bear front. Julie, is there a way you can add the ears to the arms or legs when you do the first step? It would save time in hooping as well as all the fabric and stabilizers.
I love the doggie but I do have one question. Where do I find the back of the doggie. I have made every other part and cannot find it. I went back and looked at every file and do not see it. Please let me know where to find the back so I an finish this adorable doggie. Thank you
Please email support@designsbyjuju.com for assistance. The back is not a separate file. It is part of the design file. If you follow the instructions it will show you exactly how to construct it. If you need further assistance, please email us. Thank you!
@@designsbyjuju I am following the youtube video and lady loads the files and mentions that she forgot to load the file for the back so I went back to try and find a separate file and got confused. Ill try again. Thank you

Am I the only one who struggled over half an hour to turn my first doggie ear around 😆. Second one went faster.. And I had to shrink the 6x10 dog ears xxx file just a little bit since it was too big for the hoop measurements.
Thank you so much for the cute dog! I cannot wait to make one, I do have a question regarding your magnetic hoop. I too have a baby lock machine. Where can I purchase a magnetic hoop like that? And does the magnetic in any way harm the machine? Again thank you so much!!
Thanks for the video. I just bought the pattern and I started making it but I think the fleece I bought is too heavy because it's impossible to turn the ears on the smallest dog. Can you tell me where you get your lightweight fleece or if there's a certain manufacturer that I could google search for to find it?
Hi! I bought my micro fleece fabric on Etsy. Just search for “micro fleece fabric by the yard” It’s a lovely lightweight fleece. I’m out of town Right now and the name of the shop escapes me. However, there are many shops that offer it just do the search and you will find the perfect one
Thank you for the tutorial. I tried to make one yesterday. I had no trouble at all with the skinny arms and legs, however when I tried to add the back piece to finish, it was a complete fail and is now in the trash.
I'm sorry to hear that. Be sure to turn down your machine to the SLOWEST speed...mine was at 350. Keep your finger by the stop button and stop if if you notice anything bunching. I hope your next attempt will be much smoother!
You do not need to apologize for using patterns with metric measurements. Only three countries do not use metrics - Liberia, Myanmar, and the United States. I don’t use the Imperial system since metrics are easier to work with.
No, I used my embroidery foot. However...on the bandana portion, I DID use a sewing foot! BY MISTAKE! I had to re-shoot that portion due to sound and I had forgotten to change back to my embroidery foot. Thank God everything turned out ok. Oops!!!

can I ask what machine you are sewing on
Hello, can you use a love one's clothes to make them in...for people who has lost their loved ones?
