The Sinophobe (China-hater) will say that China's HSR makes a loss and there is no profit from it. However, this line of thought is extremely narrow and tiny. What these detractors and naysayers really mean is that there is not enough money to be made from ticket sales to warrant building an infrastructure like the HSR. However, such narrow-minded types are not looking at the larger holistic picture in nation building where the profits are generated not from ticket sales but from the entire economic development generated for whichever region the train service passes through. One only has to study the start of the Industrial Revolution in the U.K. that was to make it "the factory of the world" in the late 1700s - throughout the 1800s - and the major moving factor of this was the building of an efficient transportation system throughout the country from canals to roads to bridges to rails (which was invented by a Scotsman). Conversely, one only has to go out to country towns in the mid-West and rural outback of Australia to find many of those places gone to waste because no more rail service now exist as they have been taken down. All those remote places cannot be reached by planes as airlines do not find them profitable enough to run a service and without adequate movement of people, goods and services, a town dies. Not everything has to run according to direct profit making. When nation building is involved, the profit generated comes from the whole. Are dams built out of a direct profit motive or are they built for the good of communities at large? Is the military there for profit making or does it sustain losses? Is the fire brigade or the police and law enforcement officers there for the good of the community or for profit making? When nation-building projects are being considered with individual greed thrown into the matrix, no progress or advancements can ever be made and all we will see is just a slow degradation of all that binds a social community and a nation together.
@@KayyHong Many thanks too in return. It's just that I am just getting fed up with the ignorants especially those who have no idea about economic history and how the wealth of nations are built upon and simply mouth off their lack of knowledge by looking at the simplest of matrices to make a superficial judgement on anything. The ignorants exist against U.S. American projects too - such as their Space Industry - decrying the amount of money spent on sending rockets into space and the moon. Such naysayers keep harping on their own short-sightedness by getting on their high horse and said that the amount of money could be better spent on the poor - as though pouring money there will ever solve poverty (it doesn't). Those narrow-minded types cannot see that it is because of the Space Industry that new materials, new processes, new products and new medicines have been discovered and invented that have benefited the whole of mankind. If it was not for the strive to reach for the heavens, we would not have epoxy resins, "krazy glues" (cyno acrylate), scratch resistant lenses, memory foam, insulin pumps, cordless tools, water purification systems, new and advanced fire fighting equipment and suits, digital imaging sensors (such as those in our digital cameras,. security cameras and mobile phones) and expanded our knowledge of our universe, environment and our own survival in fact. About 600 years ago, the Chinese emperor YongLe during the height of the Ming Dynasty, sent a Muslim eunuch on 7 voyages between 1405 and 1433 to explore the unknown world into the Indian Ocean and reaching as far as the southern tip of Africa. Admiral Cheng He (or Ho) brought back animals and treasures that the Chinese court has never seen before while his ships spread the influence of China throughout the countries that he visited. However, after the passing of the Emperor YongLe, the naysayers of the Ming court took over and using te same excuse that the voyages were too expensive and a drain on the treasury coffers of the empire, have the expeditions shut down and all existing ships burnt so that such "adventures" can never be conducted again. It was a tremendous short sightedness that shut China up to the rest of the world for over 600 years, dooming it to the "100 years of humiliation" by the incursion of the West. As Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does" and there's none other as stupid as those who'd deny advancement in technology and scientific knowledge for the sake of spending a few shekels, remembering that there were similar naysayers in the 1800s who said that "no human being can survive traveling in a carriage going faster than 45mph as the air will be sucked out due to the Bernoulli Effect and they will be asphyxiated" and "heavier-than-air travel is against nature because if man is meant to fly, God would have given him wings". If in the end, we are all so wrapped up about costs and return on invested funds, why should we have even as a species, spread ourselves throughout the world, exploring and developing the unknown? All of those costs money. Why even build a house to live in? Why not simply go find an empty cave to occupy like our distant ancestors used to? It's a whole lot cheaper! /s

If the united snakes of A all the trillions $$$$ spent on building infrastructures 30 years ago instead of wars, today their high speed railways could be better than China or at least the same level.

Really? You are making a comparison of high-speed train between China vs US? Does US even has any high-speed train line in existent? Outrank is not even close as a comparison term.
I haven't seen China's trains close-up in person before but I am impressed with Germany's Siemens trains and light rails. I hope to ride on China's trains someday.
Very simple....the US is actually a very rich country and still is the richest country in the world but unfortunately they got their priorities wrong! They are spending their money not on building and improving their infrastructure but they are spending their money on building more military bases overseas. As of 2023, the USA have 750 military bases in over 80 countries. Imagine the cost to build and maintain these bases.
Actually, "cost to build and maintain these bases" are often bored upon by the respective colonies of the US in which these military bases are situated. Imagine how many more Americans would be unemployed without these military bases. War feeds the US economy.
The biggest factor between Chinese and US HSR is the government systems. One periodically changes policy and ignores their people's prosperity diverting revenue to the war machine while the other has a stable government of highly educated people who actually prioritise their people's prosperity and wellfare while minding their own business internationally.
“The question that constantly comes up in the media …” Are you for real??? 😄😂🤣 The U.S. has literally zero HSR. China has more than the rest of the world combined. And that question constantly comes up?? Are you out of your freaking mind?? 😂
China has developed its high speed rail network within just 20 years. Meanwhile here in the UK, we're just building HS2, and even that's a cut down version of the original plans. Sigh...
I'm going to provide some data on China's high-speed rail construction here, so you can judge for yourselves whether the US can do it. China is building 9 km of high-speed railway lines, 29 km of highways and nearly 300 km of graded roads EVERY DAY!
Japan high speed rail may be as good as the chinese train..but..Japan seem unable to fullfill contract to build HSR in 3th world countries...Maybe they cannot find Japanese to work as ENGINEERS in remote...foreign land..😮😊
One kilometer of China's high-speed rail costs 200 million yuan, and the actual mileage of high-speed rail is 45,000 kilometers. It costs 9 trillion yuan to build high-speed rail alone, and it loses money every year. But why does China build it? Because it is convenient for ordinary people to travel. Why can’t America build it? Is there no high-speed rail technology? That is definitely impossible.Because the railway operations are all private companies, will private companies build them at a loss? answer is obvious。 Moreover, any infrastructure invested by the government for ordinary people to use is in a loss-making state.Including subway and bus, because the price is too cheap
Everything has to do with the difference in the political governance system. Obviously one of the two is much much more efficient, in all aspects of life. The much much less efficient one spends approximately 90% of the time campaigning for elections. How can any meaningful long term projects be successful?
To the rich Americans who control the government High Speed Rail is a public transport so it is for the poor folks who can't afford big cars with V8 engines. Rich Americans do not use the public transport!
China has 47,000 Km of high speed rails. Almost all the cities with more than 500 thousands people are connected by high speed rails. US highways are still better than Chinese highways.
HSR requires a lot of long term funding, government initiative plays a vital role. US government wouldn't want to finance private sector which can only afford short term project and profit. But that's not a good excuse because US is spending trillions on wars in Afghanistan.
Are you referring to the US? US perspective, can you tell me about crime and safety - is that better? everything you listed can be found in China. I respect your opinion.
I like US trains because they are slow enough for elder folks like me cuz I can appreciate the landscape at my own pace. The seats may smell but that's the way I like it ahah ahah I like it.
Obviously the US Train was the best in the world but today it is the China Train. Currently India built her own HSR Train and Moldy claims it as good perhaps better than the Chinese.
You must be China paid. USA will definitely say the best train is in USA. It can't be China because they are Authoritarian. USA are Great USA. Must believe Anglo-Saxon Western Media. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Trains are for poor countrys that dont care about there people its safer to Fly i am glad to be in the USA we have 5,000+ airports while china only has around 250
USA will never invest in high speed rail as it is commercially unviable. why do you need high speed rail when you can have airlines. Fares of airlines are comparable to high speed rail and with no investment. only buy planes and build few runway. yes it looks awesome but not profitable. airlines are the best way to transport over long distances. yes for medium distance, HSR makes sense but that only makes up only 10-15% of travel. There will be a time when china cannot build infrastructure anymore. Already they are connecting HSR to villages. These loss making ventures will eventually bite china in the long run.

You can build the American dream in China. High speed rail would have been in the US 30 years ago. Only China can help the US build this system. No Japan, too expensive, India, no technology. EU? too expensive
Really? You are making a comparison of high-speed train between China vs US? Does US even has any high-speed train line in existent? Outrank is not even close as a comparison term.
Comparing U.S. and China high speed train is equivalent to comparing India versus China!
Sounds like the Roman Empire at its height...before it's slow decline and eventuall fall.
What is the checking process? For example, do you have to submit your passport and go through a TSA like security screening?
Passport to purchase ticket and go through metal detector. Very quick process, no lines.
China has continuously built its networks of trains. US has continuously trained its bullets on its people, meaning gun shootings like breathing air.
The biggest factor between Chinese and US HSR is the government systems. One periodically changes policy and ignores their people's prosperity diverting revenue to the war machine while the other has a stable government of highly educated people who actually prioritise their people's prosperity and wellfare while minding their own business internationally.
Americans like to drive their own cars especially on long distance.
“The question that constantly comes up in the media …”
Are you for real??? 😄😂🤣
The U.S. has literally zero HSR. China has more than the rest of the world combined. And that question constantly comes up?? Are you out of your freaking mind?? 😂
Huh....high speed rail in usofa? Is there one to compare?
China is progressing on all fronts. China is a blessing to and benefactor to the world 👍❤️🇨🇳
Of course, the US has a far better and most advance railway system compared to China...
....100 years ago. 😂😂😂
Coming soon :)😀
And it was built by the Chinese then.
They do NOT know how to do it.🙏🙏👍👍
But, usA hasmilitary base camp in the world
Yes, that's the US priority. Need more balance, take care of home also
This is obviously no comparison even a kindergarten kiss can tell
With depleted American railway system comparing Chinese High Speed railways is a joke's of the year and i don't think US has HSR network.
China has developed its high speed rail network within just 20 years. Meanwhile here in the UK, we're just building HS2, and even that's a cut down version of the original plans. Sigh...
China really moves with speed. Hope all is well
US is not even close when it comes to railways and metros. Shame!
it is not comparison, and it is an direct insult for America high speed train.
Early US railroads used Chinese labour to build it.
3 bil a year to Israel. Stop this and dedicate those funds to rail, bridge, and road networks.
I'm going to provide some data on China's high-speed rail construction here, so you can judge for yourselves whether the US can do it.
China is building 9 km of high-speed railway lines, 29 km of highways and nearly 300 km of graded roads EVERY DAY!
That is great, US will never keep up. Thank you for your comment
China is TOP !!! China is the future !!
The question is incomplete without specifying the timeframe. It should be phrased as How China's High-Speed Rail outranks the US by at least 20 Years?
Thank you for the comment
Don't you think that you took a very wrong country to compared with China in regard to High Speed Train ?? 😆
Your video features a train station that is more beautiful than John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Japan high speed rail may be as good as the chinese train..but..Japan seem unable to fullfill contract to build HSR in 3th world countries...Maybe they cannot find Japanese to work as ENGINEERS in remote...foreign land..😮😊
US high speed rail?
USA must be redefining the term "HIGH SPEED RAIL" 😂😂😂😂
American innovation at it's best
This is such a stupid segment. China's trains are futuristic while USA is stuck in the stone age.
Hmmm, I liked it - thanks for the comment. I will TRY and do better next time
How can you compare china’s HSR and America’s when america doesn’t even have high speed rail
That's the point
One kilometer of China's high-speed rail costs 200 million yuan, and the actual mileage of high-speed rail is 45,000 kilometers. It costs 9 trillion yuan to build high-speed rail alone, and it loses money every year. But why does China build it? Because it is convenient for ordinary people to travel. Why can’t America build it? Is there no high-speed rail technology? That is definitely impossible.Because the railway operations are all private companies, will private companies build them at a loss? answer is obvious。
Moreover, any infrastructure invested by the government for ordinary people to use is in a loss-making state.Including subway and bus, because the price is too cheap
Thank you for your comment, good information for me to learn (thank you). China spends even at a loss if it will help their people.
一切都是,為人民服務
@@謝啊發 这个说的太高尚了,口号而已,虽然很多党员确实为人民服务,但是,是人都有私心。就是国家发展好,人民更好,良性循环,这么理解就行啦。政治层面的咱们就别深究了
Thanks the heritage foundation and republicans for no high speed trains ! They are big oils and in bed with big oils!
High speed train > airplane
Everything has to do with the difference in the political governance system.
Obviously one of the two is much much more efficient, in all aspects of life. The much much less efficient one spends approximately 90% of the time campaigning for elections. How can any meaningful long term projects be successful?
The back ground music is not necessary, no train sound at all.
What train sound? these trains are silent. Hope all is well. Have a great day.
California has high speed rails under construction and texas high speed rails on the way
To the rich Americans who control the government High Speed Rail is a public transport so it is for the poor folks who can't afford big cars with V8 engines. Rich Americans do not use the public transport!
100 years ago the US but today it's definitely China hands down .
I like Chinese train, include high-speed and normal-speed
China wayyyyyyyyy ahead goood old USA...
HongKong is in China. What do you mean to say "HongKong to China"?.
I know it's Hong Kong China. Have a nice day.
I would imagine you'd do another video on arliners between COMAC, Boeing, Airbus.. ;-) China will take this market, too.
EDIT: Oh and ship building...
It is arrogant just trying to compare China HS trains vs US chiu chiu trains.
comparing chinese train with american train is an insult to chinese
China already working on 6G for smartphone. In 2026 China release 6G smartphone.
China has 47,000 Km of high speed rails. Almost all the cities with more than 500 thousands people are connected by high speed rails. US highways are still better than Chinese highways.
The China highways are pretty nice. When I was living in California and New York, a lot of potholes.
USA trains are much more exciting, like a fairground ride. Chinese trains are boring. You just sit there and don't even know you're on a train.
HSR requires a lot of long term funding, government initiative plays a vital role.
US government wouldn't want to finance private sector which can only afford short term project and profit. But that's not a good excuse because US is spending trillions on wars in Afghanistan.
🤩🤩
US has high-speed rail?
Who has better beer
Who has better houses
Who has better jobs
Who has better restaurants
Who has better everything
Are you referring to the US? US perspective, can you tell me about crime and safety - is that better? everything you listed can be found in China. I respect your opinion.
Thank you, That's CHINA. LOL.
I’ve been to half of China and 49 American states being a Chinese American. The answer is China…..
No question it is China.
🎉
You wait when we finish building our California high speed rail then the world will know what a real high speed rail is 😂😂
I like US trains because they are slow enough for elder folks like me cuz I can appreciate the landscape at my own pace. The seats may smell but that's the way I like it ahah ahah I like it.
Thank you for the comment. Hope all is well
Obviously the US Train was the best in the world but today it is the China Train. Currently India built her own HSR Train and Moldy claims it as good perhaps better than the Chinese.
😊tre we’re we r are wed and Thank you😅we we😅 😅 we😊😅t😊essedd😊 we😊 we were❤ we😊w we’reww we❤❤ we’re❤
You must be China paid. USA will definitely say the best train is in USA. It can't be China because they are Authoritarian. USA are Great USA. Must believe Anglo-Saxon Western Media. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hope all is well. Thanks for the comment, have a nice day
You cover of the bullet train is from Japan…
Same in China now, blue with shinny aluminum.
@@ChrisHereToday I know ,
the cover of the bullet train is Hokuriku Shinkansen E7 or W7 Series train in Japan
NO usa is BETTER OLD N SLOW N cHINA`S is too fast n modern over capacity !! hahhahaaha
Have a group of millionaire stay local government go to China get the contractor you’re gonna have a high-speed railroad from Los Angeles to San Francisco at no time😂😅😊
Trains are for poor countrys that dont care about there people its safer to Fly i am glad to be in the USA we have 5,000+ airports while china only has around 250
USA is a very rich country, easily rent chinese engineer and chinese XiJinPing to rule and built HSR in USA, that is the easy way.
Good comment
USA will never invest in high speed rail as it is commercially unviable. why do you need high speed rail when you can have airlines. Fares of airlines are comparable to high speed rail and with no investment. only buy planes and build few runway. yes it looks awesome but not profitable. airlines are the best way to transport over long distances. yes for medium distance, HSR makes sense but that only makes up only 10-15% of travel. There will be a time when china cannot build infrastructure anymore. Already they are connecting HSR to villages. These loss making ventures will eventually bite china in the long run.
Who needs train when we got trump
What’s his chances this time around, win or lose?
FRONT PAGE : " Who have better TRAIN " ?
【India】 have better train ! 😁
India even 【won the contract】 to build the 【Vietnam North-South High Speed Rail】 !!!🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍
China has the best infrastructure in the world
