I seen you liked the OZ Rosie 😊👏. No you love it . I understand , haha . Good times . I haven’t been wowed in awhile . That blue peanut holed looks like the perfect size
Thanks see much for that because it wasn’t entirely clear to me before. I have the 20.5 but kind of wish that I had waited for something like that 20s. I put original goat aluminum scales and skiff bearings but now I have over $200 in an aus 10 knife.
Yeah I’m glad I waited for the 3v knifecenter exclusive rather than getting the aus10a version. I’m gonna get the OG aluminium scales too they look awesome
I never held a demko before but I think a ad 20s in cruwear or m4 would be an amazing knife. If they ever do a version in cruwear I'd definitely have my first demko. Your video helped breaking it all down
@@pocketpriorities I would love to have one too but I’m not a fan of paying much more than the knife sells for new. It’s already expensive and elusive. The AD20S is very compelling to me and only recently did I know that it exists.
I’ve been trying for over a year to get an ad20s textured titanium that’s not d2 for my only Demko to use everyday. This is to replace a worn out sebenza I’ve used for 20 years. I do not collect them I want to use it. The D2 I have gets a light corrosion on the side against my leg every two days which is annoying and it’s g10 and already damaged at the edges from a drop. Would be nice to get a lightweight version as well. Because of people hunting these knives to extinction I cannot get one. I only want one, not 20, not 30, and not for triple the price because of hoarding. This it seems is impossible due to gollums.
What handle finish are you looking for? If G10 they are in stock at Knifecenter: www.knifecenter.com/item/ADKAD20IMGDPBK/andrew-demko-mg-ad20i These are becoming quite easy to get now on Reddit, Bladeforums, and the Demko Knives Dynamics Facebook group. They mostly sell below table. Back when I made this video they were much harder to get.

Aside from the obvious side/design differences, functionally not really, small pivot are lower end AD20.5 made in Taiwan vs higher end AD20.5 Taiwan and AD20 / AD20S made in USA all have big pivot hardware.
You can blast your own titanium scales cheap if you like the non shiny darker grey grippy titanium . I do . haha keep it simple: what blade shape? shark foot is my fav. what handle material? for carry I like G10, for collecting i like titanium. What blade steel? I always go stainless for carry, for collecting i love 3v because it's vintage Demko. hope this helps!
@@pocketpriorities Lol thank you! I think I have it down to the shark foot, tanto, or cub. I was thinking carbon fiber but I can only get that with the shark foot. Is the G10 super rough? I heard it might wear out my pants between the clip? Also, the cub handle is aluminum? So smooth metal handle with no grip? Is the cub super thin? I actually like the shorter blade but I have skinny, thin hands and prefer something with a little meat if that makes sense. Lastly, just how sharp is the flipper knob? I’ve read where some have returned it because of this and since I have these fragile ass little hands I was wondering how much of an issue that is? Ok, I’m sure I’ve forgot something but that’s a great place to start so THANK YOU so much for your help brother! 🙏🏻
@@m.b.593 Sounds like you should go with the Shark Foot in G10 AD20.5. The Shark Lock is less comfortable on the Cub for sure, so narrow it really digs into the finger. Initially the G10 is a bit rough but 1) it smooths out and 2) get a deep carry clip with more lip and it's no issue going over the pants, $25 from Lynch Clips.
you might be about the only guy that will know this, what's the thickness/spacial difference, in the scales, between the liner variants and the Ti variant of the ad20.5 which makes aftermarket scales not compatible?
As someone who likes knives and has a small collection, I just don't understand this. There is just no way the average guy can pick up a new knife that drops because of stuff like this. I went to buy the new US version, I guess it would be the S . They were gone within hours. Seems like a lot of greed and hording going on in the knife world. I guess I should not be surprising , after seeing what went on during covid with toilet paper. I guess it's great that some can do this because you can, I just don't know why you would want to.
Sounds like you think I got these on drops? I think I have 4 demkos from drops, and I listed 8 demko AD20S variants at table price this week, if that helps you feel better? Sorry you don't understand collecting, I very much understand not collecting :)
Having a nice collection of something is due to greed? Are you serious? Sounds like YOU are envious. Comparing high end knives to toilet paper shows you probably should not own one anyway.
@@pocketpriorities we are not talking about costs-price wise, rather about the price-quality ratio…otherwise would you buy a 1000$ knife with a PVC blade? If I’m gonna pay that price for a knife, you have to give me the best steel available out there.
