Thogden just saying the 5th champion league slot for premier league is not guaranteed yet as it is based on this year uefa coefficient by being the top 2 in this current coefficient. Currently Italy (Serie A) and Germany (Bundesliga) are leading the coefficient. England (Premier League) and Spain (La Liga) are in 3rd and 4th.
That would be a difficult thing to see Italy and Germany dropping their points. Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen's performances this season were so insane. They will most likely go further and win the whole thing if they continued a good run in European competitions.
@@ezraezra2928 No German team won in the first leg of the Champions league though. Dortmund drew and the other two lost. That drops a few points.
@@Imperator_27 It's not over yet. Dortmund and Bayern will still have a chance, given they played 2nd leg at home. Leipzig is quite difficult, because they need a miracle against injury-ridden Real Madrid at Bernabeu. They should have played better on the 1st leg, but Benjamin Sesko's goal was disallowed.
Of course, Frankfurt are out of Europe this season (they lost 3-4 to Union Saint Gilloise on aggregate), while Freiburg will most likely surprise West Ham United at home, but on a slight way (they lost twice in group stage, and in a recent Bundesliga game, they drew 2-2 against Bayern Munich). That only left Leverkusen as a sole German club with a high expectations to win the whole thing.
For Italy, this is very difficult. Inter Milan will most likely advance due to the incredible season, despite they must face Atletico Madrid away. Napoli will most likely out, given their inconsistency in domestic. Milan and Roma had no chance in Serie A title race, so Europa League might be their only hope to save their disappointing seasons.
