Idk I was pre diabetic and ended up developing an eating disorder, I lost a lot of weight and haven’t had sugar problems since. Maybe it depends on how far along your disease is or what triggered the symptoms? Like a lot of people “cure” their diabetes by losing weight.
Fasting is brilliant for diabetes. Any weight loss is going to improve insulin resistance. I’d question any doctor who speaks about ‘starvation mode’ 🤨

Only this fall did I start working with a Health Coach that works with the Hospital system my GP is in. I started just over 450 pounds (either 452 or 457. I can't remember exactly.), but I'm currently 331.1 pounds!
