I think those small white trucks are fun to ride around in. they are almost similar to go carts but a little bigger. wish I lived out there and had a job with that company. I'd love to drive those little cart trucks
That's a very clever way to do resi-trash collection. I wonder why this isn't used more often. The little Cushmans are quicker, it's less wear and tear on the big truck and I bet it costs a substantial amount less to run than taking the big Mack down every street.
MrBillT oh I'm sure of it. 2 cushmans per rear loader. It's way faster as well, not to mention tight streets are no issue for the crews at all. Definitely a solid method if you ask me
I remember you saying in one of your other RLs that this company is all about old school "get the job done quick and go home"..... seems more so the case with this kind of set-up going on, seems tonnes more efficient than a single truck two man operation! Those Cushman machines actually sound pretty alright too, similar to a loud motorbike exhaust, they really let rip lifting and putting the dump body! Loved in the first clip how the guy quickly whipped around and hauled arse down the street haha Got the feeling there was a WTF moment around 5:30, guy looks up and is probably like "Umm are you gonna start the packer again so I can get outta here?!" :D The RL featured itself is a beast, love the Mack MR once again and there's something about those McNeilus blades I really dig, just the look of them, cool to watch in action. Enjoyed the additional kick bar action with the smaller containers, even a little bit of manual and cart tipper work.
Man you're just going through all my videos, making me work here lol This is definitely one of the most efficient operations for residential that I've seen. Its crazy fast and works extremely well. 2 cushmans to 1 rear loader. These cushmans have an incredible turning radius making them quite easy to maneuver. This truck is definitely entertaining for sure. These Macks with the older mcneilus bodies really appeal to me, especially when it sounds the way it does. I was thrilled to be able to get manual loading, semi auto carts, kick bar dumpsters, and of course the less commonly filmed cushmans dumping in the truck. All kinds of collection, all done by 1 truck in 1 video. Thats how you know RLs are good trucks haha
I love those little Cushmans it must be a pain to get in and out of those though all day I like the bus windows on the on the Mack they look good i'll never understand those galvy dumpsters I get they prevent rust but they're a pain and toxic to weld.
MetroBoston Trash Trucks the cushmans are surprisingly comfortable and considering they're not hauling ass in them all day it's pretty comfortable actually. Galvanized dumpsters are a pretty common thing up here, or at least used to be
Nice video! Those cushmans are just like the ones they used in There Goes a Garbage Truck haha. Pretty entertaining seeing them zip around with their loud gas motors if you ask me. Pretty strange and uncommon method of collection but like you said it is efficient. Great work as always
So do the cushmans also run recycle over to whatever picks that up? seems like 4 manual bins really isnt enough space compared to the main compartment...
that is very very smart and so so cool and saves a lot of time did they ever use it for recycling ? i wish we had them in adult community developments they would save a lot of time and labor i would love to operate that vehicle great video great workers .

Awesome video, love those little Cushman trucks. The system sure works out well and glad to see the blade cycles quick enough so that trash doesn't spill out all over the place. How many of those little Cushmans would you say they run in the area? Rubatino's sure got their stuff together. Nice work!
WMmaster626 if there's 1 thing only that McNeilus can do, its rear loaders lol couldn't tell you how many cushmans are out every day, but if I knew how many resi trash trucks there were I could just times that number by 2. Glad you enjoyed the video
LMAO idk what it was about those lil cushmans, but they look hilarious as sh*t! Prolly because they are so tiny Haha *put put put putputputputputputtt* That takeoff put diesel rigs to shame. Seriously though great video, this is a surprisingly old-school collection method that seems quite awesome to. Great work once again!
Brian Spencer this whole company is so old school that's what makes them so much fun to film lol those cushmans are definitely loud vehicles for sure. Thanks for the comment
Loved this one. Definitely a system needed in some areas down here as well with all the constraints. It was hard to tell in the first clip, but are the Cushmans able to empty the Toters or do they only collect from the 32's & manual bins?
Great video Alan, Honestly a unique way of collecting refuse. Would you be willing to sell your McNeilus Automator and your Heil POD since they are trucks from my childhood and i think your should try to make a McNeilus Autoreach. Please get back to me
60fps. Soothing in the eyes. I would love to drive that little truck.
