I swear the best thing about this show is the brotherhood of the Salvatores. Ofc with the Originals being a close 2nd. A great series.
I really hated that Stefan as the one to die out of all people...but I also understand it. In episode 1 he said "this my story". and it ended with him finding peace.
True but I swear after season 2 of tvd the writers just wanted him to suffer, Damon gets the girl then he gets dumped in a safe for months drowning, oh then he finds out he lost a kid, then Stefan who wanted to be a human the most but nah let’s give that to Damon and let him live with Elena. Oh let Stefan have Caroline but kill him the day after their wedding, and let Damon and Elena live happily ever after. Like damn why can’t they all have a happy ending including Bonny, it’s like it’s always Damon and Elena, everyone else be damned 😂

I just try to ignore the wig 😭 Bonnie is so incredible, truly. I get emotional every time I see that scene of her containing the hellfire and I love when she held hands with two people who love her so unconditionally (Grams and Enzo) offering her reassurance. I wish she would’ve gotten her happy ending with Enzo. The scene where Damon thinks he’s compelling Stefan is so emotional as well. Damon and Elena have been through so much both individually and together so I loved the ending they got. My favorite ship getting to live a long life happily married. Watching these reactions has been so much fun and I look forward to seeing your reaction to the originals.
yeah, my only complaint is i wish bonnie got her happy ending with enzo too but i do understand delena getting their happy ending and idk why people are salty about it because they've literally been through more than any other couple on the show and elena was gone for two seasons so obviously her randomly coming back to get a bad ending is dumb

The writers said this was a last minute decision on who they killed. They wanted to kill them both at first and then debated just Damon or just stefan.

I will never forgive the writers of this show for destroying Katherine's character and giving her such a cruel and senseless end. 500 years alone and running from a psychopath. I swear this woman is a true survivor. And now Katherine is gone forever but Damon finds peace🤯💀. It doesn’t make sense . Should we forget the mountain of corpses that Damon made just because he was bored? And in the end, such a character is given the opportunity to go in peace, and not Katherine?

I saw some comments and i know that Klaus will be a good person in The Originals. That’s why I’m not gonna watch it because i don’t want to vomit. I'm not interested seeing the life of Klaus as he stood still while his victims ran away from him in fear of being killed. I don't want to see the life of a psychopath who slowly slowly becomes a good person. I mean wtf?? It just hurts you know. I loved Katherine and i tried to understand her and it worked. Her life, her actions, everything makes sense. But to imagine that the writers send the abuser in peace and the victims in hell (or even worse like Katherine she is not even in hell she is just gone she doesn’t exist anymore because hell is destroyed by bonnie , I just don't know what to say? It hurts when they destroy your favorite character for nothing💔🥹

Yep I love this show all 3 of them, and everything came full circle back where it started, in this town history really does repeat itself this was Stefan’s life story his journals 171 years 171 episodes it ended with his death it was very bittersweet and Bonnie from the very beginning knew that it was only the beginning and it’s still not over!! And btw they were just showing us that they all did find peace in the end currently Damon and Elena are happily married in mystic falls, Can’t wait for the originals and legacies reactions!!!!
I watched this series completely 6 times. And once again I watched the series completely with you. I got to know your page from your first reaction to the first part of this series. Also, your reaction to nightwish made me visit your page more because I was an old fan of nightwish. And I hope you will react to epica group in the future. Today, the first part of the journey that started with this series ended.

Matt and Bonnie are the only 2 that got a crappy ending.
Everybody was so concerned about each other but Bonnie. The writers made sure that none of her so called friends were physically there for her.
Even after she saved the entire town, collapsed and bleeding...no one was there to check on her.
Caroline lost Stefan, but still had the kids, the Salvatore name and money that goes with it, to walk down the aisle in her ideal wedding dress and build a powerful memory of marrying the man of her dreams. Bonnie will never have even that.
Like, no one can take that moment from Caroline, and she has her vampirism so she can watch over generations of her kids' offspring.
Her husband wasn't even a whole yr in the ground and the writers had Klaus already on her heels and with giving her a fat check on top of it.
Stefan's end totally sucked, but this story began with him, so he bookended his journey. He got his bestie and his ride, and eventually his brother, so he wasn't alone like Enzo.
What made no sense to me was, how was Damon walking around for a human lifetime in Mystic Falls without running into the same situation Stefan did with being a human and having his compulsions erased?
He murdered a lot of people in and out of that town, and showed his vampire face to witnesses. It was suggested that he and Elena had a happy life there.
So he obviously didn't get thrown in jail, or put get the needle injection of death. Funny how the groupie writers glossed over that.
Alaric: kids and a supernatural school of his own to run, running the armory....which belonged to Enzo's family. How nice for Alaric...
The writers could have had Enzo create a beneficiary in Bonnie so that she gets control of his stock and fortune in the place, while allowing Alaric use of it's studied artifacts.
Damon and Elena got their happy ending, even after death.
Matt got a bench. 🙄 All that he survived and loss within 8 seasons. A freakin' lousy bench?!
Bonnie lost the ability to see Enzo again, because she couldn't see him when he was standing in her room. Now she'll travel alone to the places they would have gone together.
The writers didn't even have enough care to put a proper destination on her flight ticket. It just read Africa.😒 It's like...which country? The continent is huge. That's her consolation prize.
Not even a possible hint of a circle back to Jeremy since he came back home.
I do believe that Bonnie created a new pathway to the human afterlife for all the supernaturals to go through, with her psychic blast that pocketed Enzo. Once her and Stefan killed Cade, his hell pocket was destroyed.
So, maybe all the people that died, came by to see their loved ones before moving through that pathway tunnel to the regular afterlife.
Well, Sheriff Forbes..who was already in that place, but came back to see her daughter who is immortal, and may not see each other for a long lifetime or a few years.
I was hoping to see one last Bamon moment, but I know why they didn't allow it. Didn't want their chemistry to overshadow the awkward looking reunion of Damon and Elena.
I mean, not even a quick thank you and a warm smile to Bonnie for bringing back Elena for him.
Hoping they would have bothered to explain how she broke the curse.
If they said she read both Cade and Kai's minds when dealing with them, and found out the counter spell. That would make sense. Not, oh she just figured it out. 😑Lame.
The original script was supposed to have only Bonnie having a loss and both Caroline and Elena got to have their happily ever after. But since the fans had been holding jp accountable for the behavior of the Bonnie character, the script was changed so that Stefan was added as a loss for Caroline.
Jp was obsessed with Delena so she had no problem sacrificing Stefan...but still gave Caroline some things, as I mentioned above.
I've enjoyed your reactions and reviews. I, unfortunately will not be watching any of the Originals or Legacies, for the same problematic reasons I've talked about in some of your other reactions, regarding the issues with the writers/producers treatment of poc on their shows.

The ending was my favorite part about this episode. It had me in my feelings because I never got to finish the series when I was 8 years old but in 2021 when I watched the whole series from beginning to end had me feel like I was crying on the inside because after I was forced to stop watching this show that I loved so much years later I never knew the show was still going on up to 2017 where the show ended and I was just wishing that I had kept watching the show up to the year where it all comes to an end. I was like d*nm because I've been watching legacies for about three or four years and I'm sitting here watching one of the episodes of legacies, come to find out the this had a connection to vampire diaries and originals which I start watching after finishing vampire diaries. Sad how I missed so much of what happened after I stopped watching it but i'm glad I finished it. Hello brother

The producers said that Elena was always supposed to return to Stefan. But due to Nina Dobrev leaving the show the Dalena storyline became frozen till Nina returned for the finale, by which time it was too late to have her reunite with Stefan. So, Nina Dobrev completely changed the outcome of the show with her leaving.

I always wondered how elena and stefan would reunite after all the delena scenes. Elena seemed much more in love with Damon. The Stelena story was a closed chapter. I never got the impression that she could retrace her steps. It wouldn't have made the slightest sense.
After making stefan suffer, she suddenly finds herself in love with him again? No thank you. He deserves a person who doesn't betray him.
The whole brother trope is annoying to me but Elena is better with Damon anyway Elena and Stephan were only together for 2 seasons lol

Also, her coming back made no sense, Bonnie just found a spell miraculously ??? WHAT??? It would have made more sense for it to break because Kai undid it for some reason.
The Stefan/Caroline scenes were SO SADDDDDD. I am still so hurt by their ending. I was glad he heard the voicemail but still, it SUCKS!!!! I will imagine a long time from now, when its Caroline's time to go, they will be reunited in limbo.
I am very glad though that Damon and Elena got their happy ending at least! The Stelena scene was very sweet too. Also Stefan reuniting with Lexi made me happy! I love that they managed to get all these people back in the finale.
I felt like Stefan's death was unnecessary though? They could have knocked Katherine out and then ran quickly away? But.... it was better for Stefan to die imo because I don't think he ever was gong to be able to forgive himself for all the things he did in his lifetime. This was his way of making peace with himself.
The very end made me happy though, seeing the brothers together!

They did die, but many decades later, it was just to show that they would find peace when their time came. Listen to Elena's journal entry and you'll hear her mention "at the end of their long lives" right before she reunited with her family.

most sorry excuse of a death i've ever seen. the only reason i agree with Stefan dying is because he himself wouldn't be able to live with himself after a lot of things, we all know guilt has always been the biggest struggle he had to go through, so i feel at peace knowing he probably is at peace too.
but it's still a nagging feeling that his death was unfair, and if there's anyone who didn't deserve to die was him. and not just that, but die in the stupidest of ways. one, he sacrificed his life for what? for no one, not a single person to shad a tear over him? not his wife, most importantly not his brother. died for everyone to live happy human lives, while we all know if there's anyone who wanted a peaceful human life the most was him. makes you sad tbh.
also, can we just talk about how Julie Plec loves having characters not be able to read the room? this Delena reunion reminded me of when Liz died and they made out in the hallway. these two characters honestly have no tact or anything whatsoever. i know y'all haven't seen each other for couple of years, but your brother just died, the whole thing was so unnecessary right after we see Damon "grieve" Stefan. overall, what i'm trying to say is, i would have hated being Stefan, both, before and after his death. underrated, underappreciated, never truly loved.

loved seeing Bonnie finally decide to live her life for herself tho, that was the biggest highlight of this episode to me. and the Klaus cameo? beginning of another story? maybe we'll see Klaroline back in action, the only pair who wasn't forced onto each other and had actual chemistry lmao.

I think the Delena kiss scene was necessary because of the fans. Yes, an embrace where Elena consoles Damon for his loss would gave been just as impactful if not better, but I guess they couldn't have them not kiss in the finale. I also think Ian played out the kiss the way he did, because he wanted to convey the message that after loosing Stefan, a part of him is missing too. Yes, Elena would always be the love of his life, but he won't be fully happy without Stefan. You could see it in his acting, which is why I'm in the minority and actually liked the Delena reunion. Something was missing, it wasn't the same, which was the point after Stefan was gone.
@@moni4369 i don’t think Ian was trying to convey anything there, more like Ian and Nina broke up, Ian’s wife was right there on the set and kiss just wasn’t the same, zero chemistry, doesn’t at all have anything to do with Damon trying to be sombre cause of a death.
Now, i also understand writers were trying to do a fan service and we couldn’t do without a kiss, but if it were ACTUALLY written out as a sombre “your brother (which i used to date and call someone important but i suddenly have no tears) just died, let me hug you not kiss you and act it out as i’m here now and we’ll be alright” would be so much better than “i was grieving my bro but lemme forget about it for a while” Elena has always had that affect on Damon, making him forget about everyone and putting herself right in the centre. Kinda sucks but what i’m trying to say is writers could make this scene more likable and not annoying like Liz’s death bed one..
