- Hiking to Little Salmon Lake in Frontenac Provincial Park. One night camping trip with my daughter. We spent the night at campsite 6A. Seen lots of wildlife including great blue Heron and Whitetail Deer. Went to Moulton Gorge and seen Old Thor. Video also has a quick review of the Sawyer Mini water filtration system.
Appreciate the video! Me and my wife hiking out tomorrow to site 6 for our 2nd anniversary. Cheers.
Good job. I just got back from 6D on Little Salmon Lake. That hike is about 1:30 from parking lot with a backpack of any weight. Putting my video together this week.
Nice video. Frontenac park is a great place for beginners
Yes I really think its a good place for newbies or as a proving grounds for new equipment/etc...
great vid. you got lots nice shots of the wildlife!
We went off-season during the week which may have helped. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Excellent video work and nice to see all the wildlife you have captured on video.
Thanks for sharing!
Yes we had lots of great chances to see various critters. Honestly I was most excited about the Giant Millipede, which you don't see in my area.
Great video. I am going to that site in a few weeks. You said it would take an hour or two. How long did it actually take to hike in?
To be honest I dont remember exactly... that said the section of trail on the north side of Big Salmon is pretty easy. Its just under 5km, so it really depends how fast you hike. Me and my daughter hike at between 3-4km hour.
Awesome video! Great job taking your daughter out camping. I have a few recent videos from Frontenac up on my channel too. Cheers!
Thanks... She had a really good time and wants to backpack again.
Campsites 4 and 2 also have the food storage bins. They are new, I first saw them in November 2016 - they weren't there before
I really think a bear could open one of these!
