i highly encourage you to watch all 20 minutes of vulnerability, storytelling, and authenticity. this class was truly life changing and happy that we get to share this magic with you.
each time i teach, i always have an intention so i would like to share what this song inspired me to express through movement:::
can we all agree that when things in life seem simple, we tend to want to complicate it because we overanalyze and overthink everything. there’s very few times we put our ego aside and just enjoy the simple things for what they are. there’s a balance to be had between being ambitious, while also being human. when i heard this song it really resonated with me because it not only brought me nostalgia, but also voiced out what i yearn for which is connection, stillness, and joy in the simplest things.
if you are constantly chasing something more, just always remember...
the only way to fully appreciate the bigger things that happen in life, is when you can truly be satisfied by even the simplest thing as being present and still. x

Kaycee is one of the most influential dancer of LA. She brings out . She performs. She kills it . Her style is so versatile and vulnerable.
oh my goodness. the VULNERABILITY. the CONNECTION. the UNITY. and the INEVITABLE JOY from what they shared. especially with Kaycee and all those amazing people that danced together at the end. I cried at the raw beauty and emotions. this piece right here!! Miss Kaycee. I truly felt it in my soul🤍

The expression of each individual dancer was so clear in this piece. What a beautiful sight!!
This was magical. The entire video I had lump in my throat and tears in my eyes...it felt like from an anxious, numb, depressed phase I'm being directed to a happy, contented phase. The entire journey of the choreography and this song teaches us to be happy with simple little things we have. I felt freedom, freedom from thoughts that keep me in a dark place.
Thank you so much Kaycee for this indescribably beautiful choreography on this beautiful song. All the dancers were amazing. Kudos to the entire team.🙌🏻❤
I'm not a dancer but if I ever learn in coming years, I would definitely cover this one and a few others choreographed by Kaycee.

This is the first choreography of Kaycee that I really felt communicated a story (to me).
I adore her as a performer, but her coreo's have not reached me, until this one.

I think you have created a wonderful atmosphere and experience for yourself, the class and the viewers.
I can resonate strongly with your yearn as written in your description.
In the today’s world it seems that you need to exceed yourself ever day, because social media and even the people in real life are showing, that there is always someone “better or more popular” then yourself which can lead to unhappiness.
We are all individuals with different starts in life and difficulties throughout life. You often just see the peak of someone else. That’s why you shouldn’t judge people based on their achievements, but on their way and character trough life.
With this in mind, you can only lose if you strive for the best in all aspects again and again and equal your happiness to those goals all the time.
Because you will never reach all of them (immediately). Nobody will.
The answer is to find happiness within the simple things, like breathing fresh air, playing with your pet, or just fulfill a simple need or idea which comes across your human mind.
This way the threshold of feeling happiness and fulfillment is much lower which leads to more happiness in your life which you can control by yourself.
And those who understand, will lie next to you Kaycee, enjoying the present, not bothering about the world. If you find a person to agree on that, isn’t that called a connection and friendship on a deeper level?
I am following you a couple of years and its so nice to see, that you use your talent to not present you like “Look, I am the best dancer”, but instead creating a community and provide so much wisdom and joy for others trough your art and personality.
Keep doing what your doing, in your pace and zone of comfort 😊
