This reminds me of my dad when I was growing up. Every schoolday he'd come and wake my sister and me up (we shared a room) by yanking open the curtains and singing, "RISE AND SHINE TIME! HIP HIP HOORAY, IT'S ANOTHER SCHOOL DAY!" _purely_ to piss us off. What was possibly worse was that he'd do the same thing at the same time at the weekend, but sing, "IT'S NOT A SCHOOL DAY!" instead.
He'd also shout "BYE DARLING, I LOVE YOU!" really loudly when I was walking through the gates at high school. _He never did it at any other time._

"You know what? My mom did this to me as a kid. When I was 12 years old, I was sleeping and my mom comes rushing in and says 'Andy! You're late! You're late for school! The bus just came by and you didn't get on. Get up!' I rushed out of bed and just threw whatever I found on. I ran out the door with my little brother (my uncle John) and just booked it to school. I made it there and there were no cars or bikes or anything. I tried to go into the building but it was locked. We walked home dumbfounded. When we walking in through our front door, there's my mom setting down the final plate to a big breakfast for my brother and I. Turns out this Monday was Labor Day and I had forgotten all about it."
I never got to meet my grandma, but I can tell she was a woman after my own heart.

Once in 6th grade I fell asleep after school and woke up at 6:30 PM. I thought it was 6:30 AM and started getting ready to go, dressed shower everything. My dad saw this and went along with it all the way until I walked out the door.
I woke up at 8 PM and had a bowl of cereal for dinner, because my parents told me to eat dinner because they would be gone for a couple hours.
