That's awesome. I paid off my parents house last year and this year our siblings decided to buy our dad his dream car. we just average working class people don't make 6 figures but it's feel wonderful able to give back to our parents.

This entire video was the epitome of wholesome and purity and I was legit tearing up throughout, but when your dad said "look what my boys just got me for Christmas"--I just started bawling. 1. Because he said it with the most pride-filled, sincerely heart-warming tone of voice and 2. Because Ryland is his son, but he's taking his son's boyfriend in as a son, too. It doesn't matter that Shane isn't blood, but he's someone Ryland loves and therefore he's family, and with all the homophobia in the world, and the estrangement Shane got from his own biological father, the way he's never really had a family, that broke me, because it means he has a family now.

I’m at home having a sick day due to depression from losing my sister almost two years ago. This video took me right back to the first Christmas after her diagnosis when her husband bought her her dream car. I know how much it meant to her and how she was like a little kid on Christmas being led into the garage for the surprise. I haven’t thought of that in years and this has truly brought me some happiness.
I know this must have meant the world to your dad and it touched my heart. He clearly cares about you all so much.
