I think Andy Goldstein is having a stroke. This is one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard.
Andy has lost it completely
He stirs everything up.
Quite sure he never had the minerals in the first place..
He's a Tesco value pundit.
He’s a 🔔🔚
@@circle1552😂😂
Andy realised halfway through his flawed logic, but his pride wouldn't allow him to back down
Poor Darren, locked in a small studio with a lunatic in serious decline
You killing me😂😂😂😂
Delusional. You can have 3 good games all season and win a cup, how is that progression?
7 games to win a cup ain’t it
@hoganrules 6 to win the fa Cup but even then you can scrape through without playing good.
United last season scraped through against Newport, forrest, Liverpool and Coventry. 8th, bottom of the ucl group but they talk about progress
By Andys reckoning Wigan winning the Fa Cup but being relegated was progress
👏🏾👏🏾
Or tottenham winning the caraboa cup in 2008 👀
@@GazShez1975 spot on mate.
Sorry Andy, I am with Benty on this one.
They've just drew to FC Twente at home!!! There is no way they are getting in champions league
So 10 hag drew with FC 20 🤔
WTF is Goldstein talking about? Finishing 15th and winning the 2nd rate European Trophy is progress now? Wow!! The standards of Man Utd have gone to the dogs
Goldstein just asking random silly questions
Haha right! I like Andy more than most on talk sport, but this something I've always noticed. He creates these either this or that scenarios. Like, what... Why can't I want top 4 plus a cup. Why do I have to take lower position and a cup.
The people that are surprised by Andy’s take are forgetting that he’s a gloryhunter. He only cares about lifting trophies regardless of league finishes. He doesn’t understand what progression mean. That’s why when Arsenal finished 2nd then Arteta is a “failure”. If he was a kid in 2005 he’d be a Chelsea fan
You being an Arsenal fan explain everything about your comment 😂 it’s so sad you guys have to play down the champions league just because you have no idea how to win it, it’s not for everyone tho
How can United finish 15th and win the Europa Cup 3 years running, if winning the Europa Cup puts UTD into the CL the season after?
It’s united .. the only logic for every question, we are the biggest club in the world
I think teams used to be able to fall back into the Europa league if they finished bottom of the group or something- not sure with the new CL structure.
@@marcuspinkney7328the new format is only if you win Europa league then you go UCL but this new format won't allow you to drop, meaning if you fail, you're out
@@stevenmah2070 ahh gotcha, thanks
@@marcuspinkney7328 I took that into consideration, I think it was if a team finished 3rd in CL group. I’m not sure Goldstein realised that it would be such incredible odds to drop out the CL and win the Europa twice more. Or how the format works. It would be embarrassing for UEFA to have a team finish 15th in a domestic league competing in their elite cup competition. It would be a mockery of the claim that the very best teams in Europe win this cup if united lift the trophy.
This is the most accurate representation of a Man Utd fan I have ever seen 👏
BOTS 🤖
A truly idiotic conversation
Goldstein routines
Goldstein coping well with Uniteds decline, this level of mental gymnastics would have won gold at the Olympics. Getting ahead of himself winning the Europa League after tonight's result
Andy, leave the job before the brain leaves you, one of the worst radio Muppet, need to clean my ears after everytime lolll
I honestly think most Utd fans would accept 15th
Irrelevant small club 😂
So much for having a day off, huh?
My guy, do SOMETHING with your life
@@Bert-lw1ot a comment on youtube means no life? wtf is this.
Premier League over anything..
This is a new format..You'll play 2 to 4 of the big boys in Europa league cl own 😂 No one is getting thru the back door like the previous format...Just like the champions league 😂
Andy has the same logic as a 2 year old.
Man U to beat Real 1-0 at home.....Lol hilarious!
Andy reckons that the biggest club in the world are now a cup team 😂😂
Bettering your points and getting further in Europa or champions league every year until you win is progression
Fans remember and celebrate trophies won, not "remember those 3 consecutive seasons where we finished 4th, 3rd and then 2nd and won nothing" "yeah those were the best years of our club" I very much doubt it..
Obviously, this is an unpopular opinion, but I'd rather finish 10th and win the Europa League than finish 2nd and win nothing. People aren't going to remember the times your club 'progressed' each year in the Prem, but they'll remember the year you won a trophy as it will be cemented in your club's history.
But I guess it depends on what each of us individually regard as success. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, despite most people agreeing with Benty, which is completely justified.
I’d just like to point out that Goldstein and this other clown caller do not represent the majority of United fans opinions. 15th in the table would be an abysmal embarrassment and 100% the opposite of progression regardless of winning the Europa League. Shambolic take
The FA cup means far less nowadays than it used too.
The big teams focus far more on the champions league and the top of the premier league and just play the reserves in most of the domestic cup competitions.
Andy and ETH are totally delusional.
This is the most accurate representation of a Man Utd fan I have ever seen 👏 Andy next week, ‘if Utd get relegated but the team finds a bag full of skittles who are the real winners’ 😂
Goldstien is only looking at getting in the champs league once.
Progression is getting in season in season out and that means finishing higher up the table.
Last time Man U were in the Champions League they got slammed out at the bottom of an easy group
Goldstein has lost it
Too many drugs 🤣
Manchester United premier league and Europa league and carabao, FA cup champions. Quadruple
It’s got to be in ONE season not twenty years.
Man U standards have fallen so low it’s tragic. The standards should be have we won the premier league or champions league?
People are stupid....... I can't believe I'm agreeing with Andy!!!!!!!
Lets put every premier league team and 4th league teams in Europe into the champions league. Go fifa
Andy... How is it even logical that a team wins a Champions League but then finishes 17th in the League you would call that Progression... My Gosh... And you call yourself a Football Pundit... Ridiculous
We'd all be happy for united to win the leauge Cup every season, as long as ten hag can stay 😂😂
17th and winning the Champions league for Arsenal is them going backwards hahahahahahahahahahahaha......... that shows you where Darren's head is at its all about the Premier League!!!!!!!! get a grip!!!!!!
Andy just already making excuses for United finishing 17th this season😂
I'm a UTD fan but even i cant stand up for Andy on this. Is his brain broken?
Goldstein was 'saved' by United winning the FA cup.
It was his and ETH's 'get out of jail free' card.
Everything is hypothetical with him.
The likes of Goldstein and Goldbridge are keeping that clown in a job by spreading their Ten Hag positive spew. Everyone can see he is not going to succeed at United but them. He will never restore them to the top of English/European football, £616 million spent by him on his team in 3 years, no style of play,no patterns of play, constant player leeks and disharmony all they have is two lucky cup wins under his watch. They are on course to match their 8th place finish on minus goal difference of last season they have not played anyone of note this season except for Liverpool who ended up embarrassing them 3.0 and were playing a rondon on the edge of United's box before slicing them wide open at will.
Andy is half right.
15th in the league is a bit low......but i understand his argument. He simoly putting all his eggs in the Europa League basket to get in CL.
But itll be easier for Man Utd to qualify for CL by winning Europa. If they do that and the money the CL brings, happy days. Getting 4th in PL will be harder than winning Europa.
It is just a one season solution though. Andy said something like would you rather finish bottom half of PL and win Europa 3 years in a row. Its impossible to do that. After year 1, you'd be in CL, and you can no longer drop back in Europa like you could past when knocked out of CL.
Any team winning the Europa League is a big achievement.. but you can't ever finish 15th. Talk about lowering the bar..
This man is absurd, so you telling me you get relegated finish 18th, 19th just below and win the champions league you progressing?
Oh come Man U won’t win anything 😂. City gifts united with cups so they can feel good about themselves, united can’t win anything themselves 😂. Not even the Europa league if they can’t beat teams of 18 million euros 😂😂
Andy Goldstein talks absolute nonsense, the yardstick for progression is going forward. Even if you move the goalposts for number of teams that get in the CL to 10, you haven't progressed simply by getting in the top 10. Look at Everton when they got in the top 4, got absolutely embarrassed in the CL because it takes more than just getting to the top 4 for one season. No good getting second one year only to fall back to 7th the following year. Winning the odd cup is not progression if your league position is always 15th.
Winning Europa league?! How about winning against FC Twente first 😂😂😂
Boring as discussion this. If finished this, would you be happy with that, etc etc blablabla. Very boring topic and content.
Andy Goldstein is an absolute embarrassment to United. I've literally no words. How Darren Bent still got any hair left is beyond me being in the studio with that melt
Is goldstein forgetting what happened last year in the champions league.. they got absolutely embarrassed, that was after finishing third, (because of liverpools dip that season) and they just pipped newcastle but they was not a good side. They got lucky. They then went into last season finished 8th and bottom of the champions league group and had the worse season in their history and now im hearing them saying 15th and a cup is progress. 😂😂
Also the caller cant compared arteta to this clown cause arteta won the fa in his first season and ever since you have seen arsenal progress year on year with a whole new squad.
Ten had has spent crazy money and still has no identity 😂😂
United are absolutely done out here now and i love to see this
Andy is the personification of a deluded United fan,the club is in a slump and he's dreaming up scenarios for keeping United in the mix.😅😅
Is Goldstein crazy? You should always aim to win the league, which is so far removed from what United is capable of based on the current squad and the current coach. Finishing in the bottom half of the table is utter failure no matter what you do in the Europa League. United won't be winning the EL anyway, so that is just wishful thinking. The transfer window was mediocre at best, so unlike what most fans think, we're not better than we were last season, especially not with ETH still in charge after he had his contract stupidly extended when there was no need to do so.
Progression isn't measured by cups. Does it help...absolutely. improvement in the way the team plays on the pitch, increased win percentage, and improved league position from the previous year (regardless of difference in total points) are better markers.
Uh oh .. another Goldstein discussion where we dilute the topic to a binary success and failure metric. United got through the backdoor to qualify for Europa and are already showing they're not up to the level, so what's the point if you get into the champs league? You'll get knocked out in the groups, your team is clearly declining when you look at league form .. where does that leave you for the season after? Or do you think you'll make these backdoor entrances every year???
Lets have it right, winning a cup is a bit of a lottery. Certain factors can go your way in winning a cup, luck, luck of an easy draw etc. The league table does not lie, that's where you are measured in progress
Wtf is that guy talking about? Painful to listen to. Feel sorry for Bent he deals with this everyday.
There is something called correlation.. the chances of winning the ucl by a team finishing 17th ??
I remember when goldstein was good on sports bar and durham was on drive, talksport has gone backwards since
If Arsenal finished 17th that mans they've been beaten by most of the clubs in the Premier League. They're getting better every season for the past 3 years - 17th would be disastrous and undermine all their progress. Goldstein is sounding like a Politician.
I have never in my life watched such a dumb argument. What is Andy smoking?
Here after 1-1 draw with FC 20. United is going to finish 15th without any cups. Ten hag is gone
I know that Andy comes out with some guff at times but surely even he can't actually believe what he is saying here?
Welfare check on Andy? Embarrassing.
What good is it to be in the CL if you've absolutely no chance of winning it. He's talking utter nonsense.
Andy is only a sing when were winning merchant never moaned when utd were winning trophies
The muppet thinks winning a cup is progressive no matter what happens in league form.😅😅
This is why I’ve stopped watching this 2bit segment
Andy just knows theres no hope for United progression so hes just clinging on to winning a couple cups
Andy what are Manchester United doing 😂😂😂
Delusional to think man u will do any thing this season they will not get top 6 and they won't even get to The semis off the europa cup
Andy waffling again. Imagine my shock.
Go from 4th to 18th and win the CL and get relegated sounds like a downer to me.
Man United broke Goldstein, I’m here for it 🍿
This man Goldstein is a clown if he thinks 15th or 10th is good
Something in the water over there @ talksport Penant said so Man U is jus no good and that facts
I love Benty! Dude is just cool and perfect for this role.
How TF do you get 15th and get a Europa League spot ??
AG must be whineding us up…just to get clicks
How do they allow such people on talksport 🤔
Andy needs to keep off the Charlie 😂
Goldstien as wrong as wrong can be
Erecttion always Hug is the GOAT manager. Won 2x trophies with just gross spending €800M.
Goldstein talks some shite at times.
What Andy on about? He’s totally lost
Andy please have a day off mate
How can Man U even be in this position.
there will be no progression until 70% of those players are gone. Casemiro. Sancho. Mount. Dalot. Lindelof. Onana. Hojlund. Even Zirkzee. These players will never get you Top 4 let alone contenders for the League.
Dalot has been key to almost every win and positive performance the team has had, not sure how you came to that conclusion
You left out Bruno & Rashford , & since you did it's clear you don't see the real problem. Those 2 should have long been sold and 10Hag fired as well..only Lindelof should be sold in your mentioned players. They have been there for over 5 coaches sacked
Where is the bricktop clip?
15th 😂😂😂😂😂 wtf 🤦♂️🤦♂️
What does it mean
Win is a win
Bizarre
We need to be in top 4 end of season no ifs or buts.....United should be challenging for a title but we're long way off at the moment. Need to walk before we can run.
Managers gets sacked by December so it is a failure. Ask Villas Boas and Mourinho
Goldstein had the exact voice as Superhands
What Andy doesn't realize is that now European championships are in a league format. No more luck of the draw that they benefited from last season in the FA Cup
Do you honestly think he doesn't know that
3:40 Proper David Brent vibes for "seventeenth..."
