it's 115 on your card for marquez. you say he won 8 rounds and with the knockdown it's 80+27+8 which makes 115 and 112 for pacquiao. you got your math wrong but I think 114-113 is the correct score.
I had it 115-112 for Marquez. Judging by his reaction and how he patted Marquez before they announced a winner, even Pacquiao was surprised he won. lol.
That knockdown in Round 3 gave Manny a little more extra to get the decision going his way. Manny made history that night being the first Asian boxer to win a world title in four different weight classes (126 counts as a linear title when he stopped Marco Antonio Barrerra). As for Dinamita, he was the true successor to Julio Cesar Chavez in Mexican boxing.
@@ronaldjackson7541 Yeah, but that's what happens in Manny's two wins especially in Fight #2 against JMM. That's how Dinamita knocked out Manny in Fight #4: just keep fighting and score some knockdowns. That's how Manny got back at Timothy Bradley in fights #2 and #3 of that trilogy.
El Efecto Mariarosa yeah, it sucks but it's boxing. Arum needed Pac to continue to win or else at that time it would have impacted Pac negatively if he lost to JMM. However I do believe overall JMM won the fight, just goes to show how the scoring system is flawed. 3rd fight I had it 115-113 Manny, honestly felt he controlled the fight overall.
Round 3 was not a 10-8. JMM was winning the round 10-9 comfortably. A knockdown does *not* automatically make it 10-8 irrespective of what happened in the round. MP knocks JMM down, goes from 9 to 10. JMM who had been comfortably winning the round goes from 10 to 9. If JMM had knocked MP down it would have been 10-8. to score round 3 a 10-9 round, you have to imagine Marquez not going down on the knockdown punch and ask yourself: Will I score it a 10-8 round in favor of Marquez if he did not get knocked down? I dont think so. I even have Manny winning the round even without the knockdown. Please rewatch round 3 and apply this thought experiment. I strongly believe you would not score it in favor of JMM.
You cant really score it a 10-9 round just because you think marquez was winning before the knock down. You score the round at the end of the round.
