Amazing eBike Ride - Snow Canyon Bike Loop (18 Miles) | St. George UT | 4K

- In our quest to find the best bike trails for eBike riding, we travel to St. George Utah to ride the 18 mile Snow Canyon bike trail loop. The city of St. George is about 2 hours north of our home base in Henderson Nevada. Which is why this was a nice day trip. We parked at the FeelLove Coffee Cafe located at 558 E Riverside Dr #208, St. George, UT 84790. There are other places to park closer, but we anticipated being hungry when we got back and this is a highly-rated vegan friendly cafe that we like. We then traveled about 2 miles on the Red Hills Bike trail until we got to the Snow Canyon Parkway Bike Trail. The Snow Canyon Loop Trail is a paved double-track bike, hiking, and rollerblading trail that loops through Snow Canyon from the outskirts of St. George. If you ride the entire loop, including the section of highway at the top of Snow Canyon, you'll travel 18 miles and climb 1050 vertical feet. Keep in mind that southern Utah is hot like Las Vegas in the summer. On this first week of September ride, it was 87 degrees when we started at 9am. It does get cooler as your altitude increases in the canyon though. However, when we got back to St. George a couple of hours later it was almost 100 degrees before noon. Also note there is $5 State Park fee which covered a group (both of us). There are a few hiking trails that you can stop for with bike stands if you bring your locks. The Whiptail Trail is 5.6 miles. After which you can take the park's main scenic road to the north entrance while sharing the road with cars. After you exit the park the bike path continues for 7 miles along side of UT Hwy 18. It is a pretty straight run where you can cruise along the whole way without pedaling.

Side note: Although we thoroughly love riding our e-mountain bikes for exercise and adventure, bike riding is our primary form of meditation and stress relief. Our bike rides allow for a few hours without our laptops, and without our phones where we can stay focused on being in the moment. Just like meditation and yoga, when we bike ride, we focus on our breathing, we push our bodies to feel more, and, we get to see some of the most spectacular scenic landscapes, sunsets and wildlife that the Mojave dessert has to offer.Whether you are a Las Vegas local or visiting from any where in the world, our hope is that with these videos we will encourage you to take advantage of the extensive Nevada bike trail system.

Snow Canyon and its bike trail was a primary reason for us getting e-bikes. And for us getting a motor home for the e-bikes to ride on! Someday soon we will return to St George to complete this dream. Such a beautiful place!
Thank you for making this video!!! I saw this last week on our trip when we were staying in st George and we went the next morning! It was a blast! We turned around in the park and we back downhill through the park. Got up to 30mph and felt like the road runner! Such a bonus experience on our trip!!

Awesome video and such good info! We will be on the trail on Thanksgiving Day. One question - we always try to avoid roads, how long is the road section? Is there some room on the curb to make you feel safe? Love all your videos! Thanks for taking the time to share them.
Mild if you're from Vegas maybe. From June to September, most would consider it hotter than the hinges on the gates of hell.

I got a question....how at 40+ MPH you are letting your gal friend ride without gloves...if she were to bail, the first thing she does is stick out her hands to break the fall....without gloves it would not be pretty! Just a thought!

Is there drinking water at any of the restrooms or locations on the ride?
There are a few bathroom/water spots when traveling through the Snow Canyon Park
