I think there's actually a lot of drama behind most of the Hololives. When you think about how it's teeeechinically kiiind of an Idol company, there's a lot wrapped up in that. The Idol industry is grueling, people don't last long in it, and if you don't make it in young you very quickly age out. No one's looking for idols in their mid 20s to sign on with a big company. Like a lot of entertainment, if you didn't make it big early you missed your shot. Especially in this industry that relies on event revenue, merchandise, and image. Speaking of image, that's everything and it's all the time and if you don't look the part you'll never make it. That's just not the case with vtubers. We straight don't know a lot about who is behind each anime, but we can infer clues. Okayu not wanting to go up on stage and almost leaving because she didn't believe she belonged up there, Marine being obviously a very successful show with several seasons, Coco taking singing lessons, Noel being nervous and unhappy with her singing, the scraps of knowledge picked up about Kiara and Gura... many of the hololives may have thought that what they're doing now was impossible. It was too late, they weren't good enough, they didn't look the part, they didn't have the right voice. But it wasn't impossible. They're out there doing it. I know there's lots of theatrics and exaggeration around the whole Idol dream stuff. I think some of that is clearly manufactured, and is kind of ~problematic~. But I really believe it when the hololives get emotional about their performances and their milestones. I think they're doing something that seemed out of reach, something that they may have lost the chance to do or weren't right for. That's a complicated emotion to feel.

And yeah as you said, while they do have somewhat manufactured characters, they usually break out of those at some point. Even ones like Pekora and Luna who usually stay very close to what their character is supposed to be, has plenty of genuine moments. At the end of the day, the most important thing is just that they are entertaining to us, and having a good time while doing so.
People here only complimenting Towa-sama and Niki-san. While both done a amazing job and i teared up but i would not forget Kakage, he by now worth quite good and also more frequently with Towa-sama. For example already for the Error Cover Kakage done the art and he really went all out here. Even more then in any previous work. This here is in the end a Music Video so feel like people shouldn't JUST appreciate the music and should consider how much work went in this animations given Kakage done it himself entirely.
I'm speechless with the animation - editing even the detail , i'm more speechless at the 3D monochrome crystal with rainbow side , i really like it maybe it's a memory pieces Edit : 2:34 and this crystal hand , this is so beautiful the transition from colorless to colorful , i got goosebumps in there . Don’t forget the editors that were able to bring Kakage’s story board to life. They did a stellar job with the resources they were given! The visuals of Palette shows off more of Kakage’s illustrations while Error was able to maximize the editors’ skills. This set of workers and talents are the same (or mostly the same) as Error and at this point, have pretty much become staples for Towa’s big songs. You can tell that they pour their hearts and souls out to make these and it’s such a treat to see the results.
Kakage-sensei was really proud of how this turned out too. When the teasers dropped everyone was thinking it was made by the same professional animation studio that made the Hololive Alternative teaser due to the gorgeous animation. Kakage-sensei really outdid himself making all the animation for this video.
One thing that is special about Towa's singing is that she really passes the emotiong she's feeling on her voice. This song is the first song on hololive that really made cry for real. what the fuck. It's amazing
Knowing how far she's come up to this moment, all the challenges and tribulations she faced early on in her career, to her 3D debut and with her Error performance, to her reaching 500k subs, and now with her first MV from her single, what a journey she's gone through. People here only complimenting Towa-sama and Niki-san. While both done a amazing job and i teared up but i would not forget Kakage, he by now worth quite good and also more frequently with Towa-sama. For example already for the Error Cover Kakage done the art and he really went all out here. Even more then in any previous work. This here is in the end a Music Video so feel like people shouldn't JUST appreciate the music and should consider how much work went in this animations given Kakage done it himself entirely.
I'm speechless with the animation - editing even the detail , i'm more speechless at the 3D monochrome crystal with rainbow side , i really like it maybe it's a memory pieces
Edit : 2:34 and this crystal hand , this is so beautiful the transition from colorless to colorful , i got goosebumps in there . At the end too , the palette font from colorfull become white , i have no idea with his skills . If he's my editing teacher i'll learning harder ngl
Don’t forget the editors that were able to bring Kakage’s story board to life. They did a stellar job with the resources they were given! The visuals of Palette shows off more of Kakage’s illustrations while Error was able to maximize the editors’ skills. This set of workers and talents are the same (or mostly the same) as Error and at this point, have pretty much become staples for Towa’s big songs. You can tell that they pour their hearts and souls out to make these and it’s such a treat to see the results.
I agree 100%. the singing, music, and the added visuals really combine to make a beautiful music video.
Kakage-sensei was really proud of how this turned out too. When the teasers dropped everyone was thinking it was made by the same professional animation studio that made the Hololive Alternative teaser due to the gorgeous animation. Kakage-sensei really outdid himself making all the animation for this video.

Towa came back lied? saying it was her manager. japan having toxic idol culture, a lot of the jp fanbase left towa, dont remeber if she got harrassed by jp ppl. I think she took a 1 or 2 week break and also posted an apology vid. During all this the overseas fan never saw this whole thing as a problem, so when towa came back from break a lot of oversea ppl showed their support.

Ever since I fell in the Vtuber rabbit hole, no one has moved me the way Towa has, the moment I found her I fell in love with her design, her gaming streams are fun to watch, the contrast between her nasal cute voice and her powerful singing voice really makes my heart throb, ever since I heard the Brilliant cover I knew Towa was different, and now hearing her original song for the first time I can proudly say that I'm glad to be part of the kenzokus, Towa pulled me out of a dark place and I will support her with all my heart for as long as she is here.
