  • How to reset reverse brake assist on a Ford F150.
If you see a warning in your cluster telling you that “Reverse brake assist not available,” this video will show you how to reset your reverse brake assist in a few easy steps that Adam Iverson walks you through.
#1 Make sure all the doors and the hood are closed.
#2 If it still gives you this message then the steering center find needs to be relearned. You can do this by driving the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes above 30 km/h straight ahead on a flat surface with no steering inputs for a few seconds. When the steering center is found the Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message will go away.
Reverse brake assist is designed to reduce impact damage or assist in avoiding a collision while in reverse (R). Using sensors on the rear of the vehicle, it can detect a possible collision and apply the brakes. If full braking occurs, the system attempts to stop the vehicle at a safe distance from the obstacle.

You showed ways to make it go away, not how to "reset" it. I've been having this issue for months. Even my local dealer can't stop it from popping back up. Seems to be an issue on a lot of trucks.
