    I'm a former teacher turned homeschool mom here's a HACK- to get 'set in' dry erase marker off ----take a fresh black dry erase marker and color over it, then immediately wipe dry. It will come clean as if it was just done. Try it!

      Thank you 😊
      I knew you could use dry erase to get off permanent markers, but I didn’t think to use it on dried up dry erase. 🥰

    Yay for Teaching Textbooks! I’m so glad more secular parents are talking about it because it’s the one curriculum that I can’t believe more secular parents either know about or use. History Quest, Real Science Odyssey, Build Your Library, Torchlight, Brave Writer, etc. all seem to be so well-known in the secular circle except Teaching Textbooks (and JacKris grammar/writing/spelling). Teaching Textbooks seriously was the deal maker for me with homeschooling because I just do not do math well myself, let alone feel confident in teaching it. Suzanne also mentioned TT recently and I was so excited because I know I’m not the only secular parent very intimidated by math instruction at every level and TT really solved that for us. New subscriber :)

      Welcome :). We are loving Teaching Textbooks. We also use Math U See, but with 2 smaller kids sometimes it’s really hard to make sure math gets done, so having teaching textbooks takes away any fear I have of my oldest falling behind in math.

    Thank you so much for this video. We're very eclectic and don't really use boxed curriculum much. I haven't heard of most of these resources, so I'm super grateful.

    Gosh, I totally agree with you about using those pouches (dry erase pockets), I used to laminate but found that once the ink dries it's extremely difficult to rub off!! So now, I just use those pockets! They are definitely worth it! I also need to check out some of the other resources you mentioned here! Thank you so much for sharing 👍

    • @HomeschoolwithMelissa
      @HomeschoolwithMelissa  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you 😊 That was the issue we where running into as well. It was just so hard to rub off the dry erase once it dried this seemed like a much cheaper way to do the same thing

    To clean the laminated sheets pick up some rubbing alcohol. Either keep a small glass jar with cotton balls and the alcohol in or you can put it in a small spray bottle. The dry erase marker comes right off super easy…

    Try vis a vis markers for your laminated pages, they tend to work better on the laminate plastic.
