I lost my father in January this year. When I was around 10 years old we went to Alaska on a family trip. I’ll never forget the salmon fishing I did with him. King salmon and saukeye salmon. I remember hooking into a Saukeye at the edge of the river and almost getting pulled in. I’ll never forget the taste of the salmon that we smoked. To this day when I have smoked salmon it reminds me of being in Alaska with him. I’m 37 years old now. RIP dad.

I won’t get into the hardships I’ve been facing, but I will say Roberts’s heart and his energy are helping me through. Wow, I'm going through pretty much of the same thing as you Doug. Did you have any hip replacements yet? I had my left one done in February and I'm going for pre-op appointments currently for the right. I have a pretty decent walker though, and I went out and got a freshwater fishing license. I can sit there on my walker and fish, but it's not the easiest thing to do, I know like the bass are hiding down at the other end by lily pads or something but there's no way I could get there because the terrain's impossible, so I feel you brother!

I always enjoy watching this channel because Robert takes time to connect our hobby and passion to real human stories. With all the troubles in the world, it's always refreshing to witness folks coming together for a singular purpose, in this particular case, to recognize Frank Reid and highlight his shared love for fishing. On a personal note my father is a life long saltwater fisherman approaching 90 years old, and knowing he does not have much more time on this planet makes this video that more relevant to me. Thank you for this tribute Robert, it has genuinely moved me.

Hey Mr. Frank and hey Robert!! Well wishes and humble greetings from Northeast Alabama here. I watch your channel just about every day at work while tests are running and ect. It gets quite loud during shifts so when I saw this new vid I wanted to wait until I got home so I could relax and hear it before I watched it lol. I am beyond glad that I did. It is so important to humble one’s self. We all get down in the dumps from time to time. And more often than not, it’s over things that, in the grand scheme of life, really don’t even matter. Frank you have touched and reached so many humans on Gods wonderful creation. I don’t know you from Adam (lol as we say here in the south) but you too have inspired me to slow down, pray, relax, and never take for granted the countless blessings that I have been given, even when I didn’t deserve them. My wife and family will be praying for you. Robert you’re included too lol. You uplift and inspire and entertain so many people on such a huge platform yet stay seemingly stay just as humble as anyone. That’s the Lord in ya bud. Keep the great vids coming brother and who knows, maybe one day if I find my self in the wild and crazy state of Florida, we can bust some swine haha. Be cool my brother and God bless.

Rob you truly are an 😇 doing Gods work, the random acts if kindness that you do for ppl you don't even know to bless their day and life by putting a smile on their face, in their heart and on their soul so they can feel and enjoy a normal moment by taking them out whatever bad, hard, painful times may being enduring in life.. it is so very true that our 2mrws, even next second, are not promised... my mom is having radiation right at this very moment for a 2nd kind and area of cancer... we are both in very bad health with diabetes, heart issues (her with stints and open heart me with heart failure with a defibrillator) me with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, need hip replacement unable to take a step on my own etc.. be thankful for every second that you have live life to the fullest doing what you love and makes you happy but ya never know when your not able to do those things anymore.. tell/show and spend time with the ppl ya love that you do cuz there will come a time when you won't be able to do so.. someone very close to me is in ICU fighting for his life as was beat up, we are unsure ad too why or how, all we can do is pray that we all can get better to be able to live to the best and fullest possible.. sorry for the novel... thx Rob for being and doing all that you are to bring joy to others, for genuinely caring about all of us out here!!

Currently I'm waiting for a PET Scan to assess how well 7 months of chemo has worked on Lung, Bone, and Lymphatic cancers (all were metastatic, stage 4 at diagnosis). I'm still alive and fighting, and loving the Arrington family's adventures! You have been blessed, and you always share those blessings with those around you, and those watching from afar! Again, thank you, brother!

Dear Robert - I haven't fished in over 40+ years. More importantly, I have spent my career working my butt off to provide for my family. Thank G-d, I've been blessed with success and a beautiful family. But candidly, I've failed to live true to your motto, "All Men Die, Few Really Live". As my kids are starting to hit their late teens and early 20's, I've realized that I've taken only a handful of vacations in my life. I love your lust for life and appreciate how you and your family bathe each day in the blessings G-d bestows on all of us. Thank you for the beautiful reminders of the wonderful world we live in.
