- Well i heard a noise so we dived into sho’nuff and inspected the engine , then we did our suspension changes and learned to set the 2 step up on the clutch.
Then we dive into The xfwd covic the brother in law and check some electrical gremlins and find a major issue.

People don't realize the potential of Sho Nuff. Its way better to have it as perfect as possible before testing. It can be a matter of life and death at the speeds that car will be going. Its the same reason we car guys love the sport, the rush of being in control of our monsters. Take all the time you need to feel comfortable about it Brent, at the end of the day, its all you my boy. Every real car guy understands what level Sho Nuff is at, and we don't mind waiting for it to be ready.

When you're working on the 4 link bars under the rear of a 4link rear suspension car you want to check the roll out of the tires first because if you have tires where one is two inches taller and having 2inch more of roll out then it's going to throw your rear steer off and no matter what it's going to make it to where he'll have to drive the crap out of it in order to stay between the mayonnaise and the mustard and if you don't know how to check roll out pump both slicks all the way up to 30 or 35psi or whatever the max air pressure is and then wrap a measuring tape around the wheel and tire and then take the tape off and whatever the number is that's your rollout and if you go to a shop you can ask for a set that has the same roll out and if you don't make a note of this and you don't put enough rear steer in the car then the car is always going to go in the opposite direction of that taller tire and the best way to set your anti roll bar and wheelie bars is at the start line at the track if you're at a private rental but a flat surface will work but since he has wheelie bars you can set them at the start line once you remember which way is up and which way is down so you can do it right but also be fast at it so you're not holding people up getting someone's car hot while he's sitting there idling and letting his car get hot

I have ft550 on a j32a1. Cam sync is approx 120 degrees btdc. But using the stock vr sensor it would occasionally think it was 90 reading a different cam spoke and add 30 degrees of timing. It would idle but knock sounding like shonuff. I had to more the cam sync in ft to 130 degrees and limit detection window. Now it starts consistent and no knocking
I feel ya in the working on everyone else’s stuff but it’s why we do this stuff, cause we love it! Love seeing you push through regardless of what you got going on! Head up and forward sho nuff wil slay it!

I understand how building a car while it's in a functional business it definitely takes longer sometimes parts get robed for other cars deadlines on other cars to make the money to keep everything going. Always do it with a smile tho glad to see this car come so far

I would have never caught that coil plug wiring flipped over. Ouch. Hope it didn't cook the coil too, probably did. Sho'nuff almost had me dying with a rod knock, glad it isn't! Getting and going!
When you cook a ft600 a cooked coil is a expense you barely notice

I have the same noise from a chain tensioner its caused by very heave valve springs on start up
I did the same thing on my car the first it was the rod bering and the next time it was the belt tensioner it sounds the same
Steve save yourself the headache and do the bar measurements in mils.

Normal Honda, bike or car timing chain tensioner is crap. Just run a mechanical one, screw tension.
