riot specifically stated that kayn will be a kinda champ that if u dont use the transformation when the time comes, your mid game will suffer pretty hard, plus the whole point of the champ is that one transformation is supposed to be a tank shredding frontline while the other is an assassin. that being said, they probably put the transformation timer on there for if you're so behind that you can't kill anything to get the transfomation souls or whatever they or, or in case they have absolutely none of one type of champ(5 melee comp or 5 ranged comp). i dont think that's the best idea XD

So regarding Varus... 1. Varus' bow is DEFINITELY a Darkin. 2. Varus is not fully consumed by the bow, his motive of revenge is still there, the bow would have no reason to pursue that. 3. Varus must be the name of the bow, not the wielder, or Rhaast would use a different name for him. 4. Kalista has interactions mentioning Varus by name, implying that his actual name is Varus, and this is therefore a retcon. So there's a bit of a conflict of lore here. Either this is a change of lore (that may or may not be rectified properly) and Kalista is now outdated with those voice lines, or this is an inconsistency that they didn't think of / care to address.
Varus is being consumed by his curse, so I don't think he's bested it; and why would Rhaast be talking to a human who's dominated a Darkin like he IS a Darkin?

But also i dont think you can just destroy a weapon. Rhaast may just be the weakest of darkins lore wise.

He’s way more amusing than Kayn. Mind you Aatrox is still more amusing. Speaking of which Rhaast seems more arrogant whereas Aatrox is a bit more insane. Rhaast wants to kill, be recognised and fuel his self aggrandisement by proving his power. And couldn’t care less about his fall and loves himself. Maybe the Darkin's possession of the body isn't complete yet and Rhaast is not sure if Varus still controls himself or the darkin. (I just got hyped, sorry)
Something that would be interesting is a less competitive form, perhaps the desires of the Bow and Varus line up and so they have a symbiosis of sorts. Of course, this is just what I think would be cool and has nothing to do with what it actually is/will be when fully updated.

Varus is just some guy who defended someplace, got his village (By Noxus) slaughtered and decided to take that place (A well or some shit?) powers for revenge, or smth like that. I believe his bow is just a normal one. Aatrox is the name of the sword, the "guy" (Or body, to be precise), doesn't have one. Aatrox is in full control, kinda like Rhaast, but, since the beginning. And Trynda is just mad at Aatrox for killing his family in front of him. His legendary skin got nothin' to do with Darkins.
So the real question is, if you get all 5 darkin weapons, do you basically become a demon Pokémon trainer for them. There weapons kinda acting like poke balls.

Varus is just some guy who defended someplace, got his village (By Noxus) slaughtered and decided to take that place (A well or some shit?) powers for revenge, or smth like that. I believe his bow is just a normal one.
Aatrox is the name of the sword, the "guy" (Or body, to be precise), doesn't have one. Aatrox is in full control, kinda like Rhaast, but, since the beginning.
And Trynda is just mad at Aatrox for killing his family in front of him. His legendary skin got nothin' to do with Darkins.

So what happens if I have all 5 darkin weapons? Is it like ninjago?
The weapons don't matter, they're just vessels for the darkin.
So the real question is, if you get all 5 darkin weapons, do you basically become a demon Pokémon trainer for them. There weapons kinda acting like poke balls.
