I have been battling depression. The thought of suicide is so inviting. Then I heard this song. I have been crying for I do not want to commit suicide, but my mind is telling me that I have to do it. It is like monsters haunts me everytime and I will see myself on the brink of oblivion.
But this song. This man. His calming nature is fine but his songs made me stop thinking about my demise for a shortwhile, this song made me think that there is someone out there that somehow understands me.

I remember he supposedly was in a song writing challenge w/other musicians and they had to compose a song that included the word “sewing machine”. That was the day’s competition. He is brilliant, funny and how I wish he was my neighbor.
Everytime I have a mental break down, I always listen to this song. 2022, going to 2023 and yes, still here! ☺️

One of the best and probably the only human being who is capable to perform better than the album version and able to touch my soul. My all time favorite artist!
In my life i've been through a lot of bad things, dad leaving home, girlfriend beign beaten by her own dad, missing them both, etc. But you know what, i always find a spot in my heart for Jason's songs, it's like a medication sometimes, when i feel prepared i always like to revisit his tunes, not just the "good vibed" ones, also the ones like this. So for all of you who are having really rough times, it may seem almost impossible to get up after everything, but TRUST ME, time will pass... You will heal, you will become stronger, you will become greater, maybe you won't feel that right now, but trust me... Maybe you would forget everything about this comment in 3, 4 years or so, but please, dont give up. Peace.
I finally watched this song performed live last Saturday, 10 years after listening to it for the first time. Some Indonesian including me flew to Singapore to watch Jason. This is the second time for me after his concert last October. Although both concerts are in the same tour (means the concepts are same and repertoires are similar) but they paid all his concerts I've missed during the decade.
Everytime I encounter words similar to "hold your own, know your name, go your own way," I remember to this song. It roots deep in my heart and I use it as a mantra, knowing that everything will be fine.
I saved the seas with the salt of my tears, flooded my home a time or two over the years, all alone and sometimes too often I stumble across or seek out this song, is it therapy or self destruction, so long as its something not nothing, im still holding on and going my own way... when its unbearable, this song carries me through the day. Thank you so much Jason. I was heart broken and suicidal in 2008, and cried a million tears to this but i learned to blame the faulty manufacturing, and Im still going.
Today I made the biggest decision I have had yet to make, and I broke my best friends heart in order to go forth. This reminded me that it was the right decision to make. Thank you, for the affirmation that I needed. Thank you for sharing your music and your heart with the world Jason. I can only hope you know what it means to those who listen.

This song saved my life years ago when I was going thru a bad time in life, it was then I needed to look in to who Jason Mraz was. Fell in love immediately, attended a few concerts, one was a fundraiser for Life Goes on, which I had the opportunity to meet Jason at an event TWSA which stands for They will surf again, I volunteered for 8 years and loved the people I met. I was able to tell Jason my experience an how this song spoke to me in various ways. He is a kind sol and extremely talented and I will forever be a Fan!

I've been having a really rough time with my anxiety and depression lately. This song was exactly what I needed to hear. I hadn't listened to it for a while so I'm glad this came back into my life when it did.
One of the greatest artists I've ever come across. I remember going to his concert in 2007 and it's still the best concert to date. Nothing compares to raw talent. Come back to the Fort Myers area!
