Thank you for this. Albert Alyer was my grandfather. My father (his son) play many instruments and is equally as talented. ❤️

Wow, thank you. It’s an honour to have you comment. And thank you for watching. Now I need to find out more about your father’s music!

My Father and his brothers didn’t do much because Gangsta rap” was making it’s way in. They made one album called Crime Stoppers😂. His name is Curtis Roundtree. Oh and my brother has a song called King of the South. He is a singer.

I can listen to Brotzmann all day but I still struggle with Ayler. One day it will click in.

An acquired taste for sure. Not an everyday listen for me. Mood-dependent!

@@TenMinuteRecordReviews Is interesting cause even if u don't like this album, if u like brotzmann u must like 1964 Ayler or later, well I do and have this pretty original fantasy record I got at the last minute on ebay, always a great listen, love his raw unfettered style here, leaves out his spoken introduction unfortunately but got 2 love some of thee original records, but I get them on a whim don't have a collection of early editions of albums and most of my collection is cds by far which I still buy (call me old fashioned Ok but sound quality is still pretty f good compared 2 mp3s). Got a 1971 eric dolphy iron man original other day, had the later celluloid record but wanted better sound and better version of the cover, the 1968 original cover is good but something about the 1971 cover with great artwork by mati klarwein I just love to look at while listening 2 the music (especially title track), n first did on youtube, this version sounds good too, stereo sound and each instrument has its own channel and place, sounds a bit like his sax is in the room, great, but still obviously the musical prophet cd set mono mix is probably the clearest still even compared to these real sounding records, listened to conversations on that but yet 2 listen 2 iron man, wow can't wait to hear that should sound great. Earlier records sound great, maybe I'd try 2 find an original blue note or two if I can afford it but generally I just have a stack of records, just savour them and buy mostly cds because they are cheaper and well rounded. Sorry is just I love 2 talk about music, all day. ,:-0

Brotzmann apparently saw Mingus with Dolphy in Wuppertal 1964, I got the cds to that concert recently, I think in Brotzmann I can hear Dolphy's influence like a tense strained voice, that is Brotzmann's sound and Dolphy did that. So that's interesting, I can hear Ayler's influence on Brotzmann though, he can't hide it, listen 2 for adolphe sax, sounds like he's imitating/copying 1964 Ayler from hearing a record, copying clear licks, can't deny the influence though I understand Brotzmann wants to be seen as having his own style and being original and from the get go he was and only increased, I have been getting into Brotzmann more the past few years, and got Machine Gun on record a year ago, listened once drunk but yet to listen sober, others n first I have is nipples n more nipples on cds, would get more like Alarm if I can afford it. ,:-0

@@Jiv_Ing57819 and there’s no harm in that! Or in listening to music in whatever way works.
