don't know why I am in the mood of explaining this at the moment but here it goes: Any blank piece of paper can have whatever value you like for you. if u say your monopoly money is worth 1 million$, it's worth it for you. if I agree with you it's worth that for me too and you can trade that monopoly money with me in exchange for, say candy, which I think is worth 1 million$ too. So essentially more people agree that the blank page has worth more its purchase capacity increases(as you can exchange that monopoly money for real goods with more people who agree to its value). A countries currency is just people of that country agreeing that it has value. So more the people with goods and resources and possessions agree that the currency has value, more value it has. So essentially if everyone in the world decides to agree that monopoly money has value. It will become the most valued currency in the world.
