🤙 Just absolutely stupendous! The PC version of motorsport today cannot even BEGIN to compare to this glorious era of open wheel racing! These were true gladiators strapped into fire breathing beasts who put their lives on the line to provide us race fans(this one desperately wanted to be a racer) with a genuine spectacle! Look at the crowds for crying out loud. What more proof do you need?
And to think that some racing entities are exploring a fully electric series. Totally, ridiculously and insanely STUPID! FJB and his IDIOT ideas to "save the world's climate." Wake up people...
I remember the day of this race. ESPN was showing the NASCAR Southern 500 live and taping this to be shown on delay at another time. They broke into NASCAR coverage to cover the Josele Garza crash near the end of the race.
Is this a joke? I have this race on tape. On my copy you can clearly hear the commentators. This one? All you hear is engines. I love the engine sounds, but I’d like to hear both
seems so strange how during pit stops back then, the tire changers pretty much took their time taking off, then puting on the new sets of tires, no wonder a normal pit stop back then took at least 10 second LONGER than what they are today, and that was when everything went right during the stop.....when thaqt one car had to stop on the side of the track at around 51 minutes, today that would definiatly bring out a full course Caution, but back thenm NOPE, they just raced right by it.....LOL
That beautiful sound never to be heard again. My favorite era of Indycar.
Please, keep upload these GREAT indycar races from the past!!!! Even from the 70`s and even the 60`s!
Who needs annoying commentators when you have the ferocious sounds of those turbo engines? LOL
The pacecar going into the grass... I love it!!!
Mid-Ohio is such a good track.

Oh man can you HEAR that?! What fantastic noises! The noise is a part of the experience. Bring back the noise Indycar!

Listen to those engines and look at that crowd!

Unbelievable that Garza escaped that with only a broken leg.
I like these broad camera angles from slightly higher heights then used today. Makes the elevation change more pronounced.
Great upload. Thanks Indycar.
I was at this race. I love going to mid Ohio.

The size of those wings on the back of the car proper barn doors .
E impressionante estas imagens js teem 32 anos como o tempo se passa no naquela nao tinhamos acesso a isto tudo!
Them loud engines tho, wish they had the type of weather that this race had.
a time when we Brazilians were on the rise in motorsport... Senna and Piquet in F1 and Emmo in the USA.
