      I think music box is going to stick for everyone un familiar with the movies. Holding the box (in DBD) causes the game sounds to change to a creepy music box tune. It’s the box that plays music :-)

    For as much as I do agree that his chains need a bit of a buff, I do think BVHR should be commended for making the whole "slow in chase" mechanic *way* more interactive from both sides, with a few tweaks so he doesn't actively suffer he'll be an incredibly *fun* killer which is very important

    I like his design. I can tell they definitely tried with him. He’s pretty unique and has a lot of really cool animations. He just need an extra punch to his kit.

      @@DanielGonzalez-ys2oo Well, yes, but I can see where the other guy was coming from. In a sense, there's the box that kinda works like Plague's effect of cleansing vs not. There's also the actual chain itself that is immediately reminiscent of Deathslinger, which appears to be around the same range.

    I feel like hitting someone with a chain needs to do a lot more. It takes like 2 seconds for someone to break free so you dont really get any distance.

    His Very Rare Deep Wounds add on is basically old Legion. It makes them get Deep Wounded while injured, and they can’t run while chained… making it so you can just spam chain them and eventually they’ll go down.
    But overall I agree that the chains just need a little bit more of something to make them a bit scarier, because they just break so easily atm.

    I think it would be neat if, upon hooking a survivor (with chains) he got like a speed boost. A sort of Adrenaline rush for the pleasure he gets from pain. He revels in it, and therefore this gives him a boost of energy which allows him to close that distance and give a lil spice and reward for actually hitting a hook.

      This is a good idea but I think they should also give a delay to when u can break the chains. Like as Scott said, as soon as u get chained, u can start breaking them. U should only be able to break them once pinhead gains the ability to move again.

      @@curtissweeney5211 fair but it’s a solution to the issue of the chains not really benefiting Pinhead because the distance he makes is entirely negligible if not worse off for using the power. Both solutions solve this problem, but I think mine is just more thematic. Speed boost means the distance is closed, more time to catch up means distance closed. Same results, different ways of going at it

      we've also heard your feedback about freddy, as he was underperforming he now puts survivors to sleep forever and clocks are disabled, generator teleporting is now instant and has no cooldown. we hope this changes will bring some semblance of balance to this underused killer (/s)

      @@oavalos8185 On top of the pig nerf we would like to thank all the trapper mains for requesting changes and being patient, so we made padded jaws basekit and trapper now starts with no traps.

    The chains can prevent fast vaulting (and leaving through exit gate) but those are really just "neat tricks" that don't outweigh the other issues. I do really like the idea of using his power to scout locations though, it's an interesting compromise between open and indoor maps where he gets better value out of the chains on open maps, but much better value out of the information indoors.

    So, from watching and playing and discussing this a bit I've thought of a few changes that might improve his flaws.
    1. Increase the time to break Chains without Obstacles by a bigger amount, while also increasing the time a bit for obstacles.
    2. Remove the Killer Chain Break Collision
    3. When holding the Lament Configuration, the Survivor is harrassed by the Chains alone, but those chains inflict Injury if they don't solve the Puzzle within 10 Seconds.
    4. Remove the Aura of the Lament Configuration for Survivors until the Chains of Hatred proc. Imagine if you could run to a Clock or Snap Out of Sleeping on Freddy BEFORE falling asleep -_-
    5. Add a slight increase to the Directional Pull to each Chain so the Survivor cant just run straight but actually must run opposite of the Chains while breaking them. This would prevent them from just holding "Break" and running from loop to loop safely.

    I feel a cool thing it could do, because his ability reminds me a lot of another character from another game, is that the survivor is yanked to the gateway when the chain hits them, after that the other chains are also applied. Another thing that could be cool from that character is to be able to shoot a chain from a chained survivor to another survivor which would pull them together and maybe slow them by a lot for like half a second? These would not only increase his danger, but also his skill cap.

    There as also a HUGE oversight which i hope gets fixed in live, where due to chains stopping you from running, the deep wounds timer ticks down if you are chained, so if the killer gets a survivor with deep wounds (which an addon does) he can just spam chains and they will go down with 0 counter

      the people who say pinhead is pretty good are the survivors, they say that because they can loop and bully him to all eternity, or they're people who are too hyped to look at the reality of the situation, and don't stop to think over the quality of the killer, and more the fact that he's pinhead and he says "I came"

      I thought to make it slow down the survivor more than it already does depending on distance, he has like 40M of distance if you include placing the gate and shooting the chain, but he doesnt seem to use it all that well

    4:00 Correction, at least to my knowledge. When you pick up the box or down a survivor holding a box, it automatically causes the survivors to scream and chains spawn on top of all survivors. Also, a chain hunt begins if one was not active at the time (it’s actually really powerful but almost never happens).

      I do believe he was talking about when a survivor picks up the box, not when the killer picks up the box. But this is helpfully insightful regardless since I don't think he mentioned that the killer could even pick up the box.

      That only happens when the killerpick up the box.
      But i held a box for 4 gens and litteraly nothing happens. You dont hear the TR, but i did gens with a David so he heard it and despite not being in a SWF, i was never caught.
      The only downside to keeping the box hostage is you get harassed by chains at like one every 10 seconds and it take one sec to break free so you can do the gen at a speed of like 90% efficiency on 1 survivor all the others are safe. I know they were because David next to me didnt have any chains comin for him...
      Its litteraly the same mistake they made with victor. Exactly the same situation and That's very disappointing

    His perks are pretty unique but weak. Hex plaything shouldn’t have a timer, only the affected survivor should cleanse the totem.

      @@totinoboy2319 You can do totems in 15 seconds without Counterforce. With Counterforce, that's like 10-12 seconds. You could have an entire map done within a couple minutes.

    One thing I noticed quickly is Engineer's Fang (His Iri Addon) genuinely makes him so much more effective and fun. It 1000% would make him perfect if it was basekit.
    You can't down with it but you use that first chain by making your gateway through walls on the other side of the loop, and you fire your shot quick to minimize their chance for dodging.
    The next chain you fire on them won't injure anymore, but that can secure a kill if you use it properly.
    Pinhead genuinely becomes this amazing feeling Nurse-Huntress baby where you can get some of the most insane hits in the game. Even crossmaps don't compare to weaving through tiny gaps or going right over walls and hitting them from above.
    It's not even like it's a crazy Iri, but it's SO much more fun to be able to use that first chain to get the first hit, and it feels so different from any other range attack.

    I agree with the main points in the video, however I'm losing my mind over you calling Pinhead's passive ability "Chains of Hate" - that's the name of Deathslinger's chapter.
    His passive is called "Chain Hunt".
    Overall 0/10 video, I did not came.

    From what I’ve been messing around with brutal strength and bamboozle make him scary at loops because you chain them then break the pallet or vault the window and you gain scary distance at loops since the chains are active while you’re doing stuff. Now they do need a buff but they might be a little oppressive if we aren’t careful

    I think the simplest way to buff him would be increas the time to break a chain by like like a second, but also spawn 4 chains instead of 3 with the power. Also he should be able to see the aura of the rubic cube if he is within like 6 meters of it to make so survivors have a bit less controll over his power.

    Spot on Scott. Survivors holding that box hostage needs a big penalty besides just being oblivious considering it’s so easy for them to find it and so hard for him to find it. Maybe after 20 seconds of not solving they get killer instinct on it? I actually feel like the chains are fine but the transition from chain to Pinhead needs to be almost instant, it’s fast rn, but that little transition has made me juuust miss hits at windows or pallets since they break so easily

    Personally, I feel like the addon that hides the aura of the lament configuration unless a survivor is within a certain range should be base kit. The idea that the survivors can just ignore it until the timer gets close, THEN go and get it because they just see it from the get go, and all the time, is ridiculous, or just having someone hold it the whole time as well and using it when necessary. There's no sense of urgency, as Pinhead cannot even see his own box, yet the survivors can. Pinhead either wastes time hoping to randomly stumble upon this small box, which by the time he might catch up to someone, it can respawn and get solved again, or just understands there will never be a chain hunt. There needs to be a sense of dread from his power, and right now, it doesn't feel like there is one. Hooks break too easily, solving the box is a joke, overall just too weak, very cool, but weak.
    I like the idea of using the yellow glyphs to have to solve them, it would make sense when trying to solve a puzzle box, which by all means, should have SOME level of difficulty to it. If a survivor fails at solving it, the killer can still teleport, and that would create encouragement to make sure the box is in the hands of someone who can solve it, or better yet, allow survivors to get better at said skill checks, adapting to it. Or, don't allow Pinhead to teleport to it, unless it is solved, but if whoever is solving it fails, it teleports out of their hands, and respawns elsewhere. All of this with both the ideas that the survivors cannot see the box all the time, as well as the chain hunt only being stopped once the box is opened/solved, not when its just picked up.
    Cool powers/passives for a killer, just needs a few tweaks/fine tunings, to make him actually feel like a force to be reckoned with, rather than just a force.

    There is a pretty reliable downside for the entire team for just having someone hold onto the box - since it's easier for him to catch Survivors that are just holding the box (they can't hear him coming and are constantly being bombarded with chains), he actually automatically picks up the box when he downs that Survivor, and that forces the entire team to scream and reveal their locations as well as getting bombarded with chains nonstop until someone else picks the box up. It's a surprisingly reliable punishment since the person carrying the box will often just run directly into you.

      Also, since his portals can be placed through walls, you can get slowdown on maps and in situations Clown really couldn't do nearly as easily. You can also mindgame with the portals (Sit on one end of a loop and put a portal on the other, if they run at you cancel the power and hit them, if they don't run at you hit them with the chain)

      If they made it so that survivor was constantly visible somehow (killer instinct or aura) then this might be a worthwhile punisher mechanic. The way it is now, you'll typically just have to get lucky to run into them

      @@drewhoffmaster2969 That'd certainly be a nice buff to make it stronger, but it's unlikely that a Survivor that can't hear you coming is going to be able to avoid you all match, especially since the chains are loud, make the Survivor make noise even when uninjured, and are pretty visible.
      I don't necessarily disagree that he could be stronger, but I don't think Scott is giving his strengths enough credit. The portals are also good at scaring survivors off gens and directly into you, which I always have fun doing. That's won me a few rounds.

      @@SunTzuSaidFight based on what I've seen, survivors that grab the box just tend to run to a safe spot in a corner far from the action before even considering solving the box. If they run through the middle of the map then yeah, you're likely to catch them, but survivors have gotten wise to that.

    He absolutely needs some adjustments, but I feel like one of things he's going to be strongest doing is getting hits at pallets. I noticed from Otzdarva playing him that someone would drop a pallet, he would connect the chain then start breaking the pallet and the survivor would barely be breaking out before he could catch up.
    Personally a build that I feel might be really strong on him is Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, Fired Up and something like Ruin for just general delay since I think when the chains autospawn it might make it rough to just power through Ruin.
    It is worth remembering the bit I seen Otzdarva playing him, was also just after he released and I think he was playing with friends so he could get games, I doubt people were just holding M1 all the time and I'm sure that there's ways to abuse the chains breaking on the environment that people were doing.

    I really like the new perks that came with him. Even though this is a paragraph it seems like a lot of thought was put into his design, perks, and animations. I really hope BVHR continues to put this amount of creativity into their killers in the future because it really shows.
    I think in general he would be a lot better if he was rewarded for landing his chains instead of the outcome being the same on his end if he misses or lands it. Myabe a movement speed buff for him or intel on where the survivor is going if they're a certain distance away. I haven't looked at his addons so if he has something like that on them I wouldn't know.

    tbh i think its really refreshing to see a killer thats this level of unique, the last 2 killers we had werent all that unique and felt a little bland (and considering one of them was a big massive deal license thats kinda weird). I expect they will do some work to his power, it was the first day of the PTB afterall, not gonna be perfect.

    One survivor doing gens at like 50% efficiency is not enough of a downside for what holding his power hostage does.
    I held a box for 4 gens wihout being seen. Did a chest and 2 gens while holding it(with a David, not alone)
    The only thing you can't do is totems.
    4 survs, non SWF and it was an EZ escape because he didnt have half his power. I even escaped trough the gates with his box. Its mine now, you're not getting it back!

    I think the chain should have 2 modes:
    Mode 1: The version we have now, where the chain slows them down
    Mode 2: A lethal mode, where there is a 2ish second charge up and you have to commit to a straight line (so it's counterable if a survivor sees it being charged) which would injure the survivor if it hits. Kinda like those railguns you see in FPS shooters where there's a very obvious charge-up, but then a high-reward?
    Idk, I just thought it would be cool :D

    With some small number buffs he will be very solid. Already seeing the potential with some tweaks. Small junk loops and path pallets he does very well with. But just making the chains take *slightly* longer to break would make it perfect.

    He can definitely use some tweaks and buffs but his power does have a unique use in its slowdown since it’s the only power that forces a survivor to slowvault rather than even medium vault. With some tweaks of numbers I think his power could be used well on decent loops and until people learn entirely how to bully him, I think he’ll be pretty fun to play.

      freddy and clown can both force medium vaults at windows, but forcing a slow vault at pallets is unique. it would make sense if the possessed chain was faster to send out and attach to a player, because going back to pinhead is so slow.

    As I understand it, if someone holds the box hostage it's a big risk because once Pinhead finds the person holding the box (which is easier because the passive chains can give away their position), he can chase them until he downs them, which instantly gives the buff as if he picked up the box and chain hunts start on all other survivors now.

    Just a note, when holding the Lament Box you do not instantly get chains of hate... once doing some productive action (gens, healing, gates, chests, totems, unhooking, etc) then the chains come and slow down the action. However, it is still possible to do the action with the box, it just takes a lot longer.

    I really like ideas behind Pinhead's perks. Very weak at the moment, but ideas have potential (each tackling something new), just like killer. And the animations are sweet.
    Oh I didn't know survivor can just hold m1 the entire time to start breaking chains immediately. I think they should click and hold for every chain separately.

    Box interaction is pretty easy to fix - make it unpickable and aura is not highlighted for survs until Chain Hunt begins, either by timer or by Pinhead activation. During Chain Hunt when box is picked Chain Hunt effect remains on all survivors if survivor with box is not in chase. Thus if Pinhead chooses to teleport to box and chase survivor with box - others will not suffer from chains, otherwise survivor achieves nothing by taking box hostage, everyone will still be affected.

    He’s so close to being a good killer. A small buff to the active use chains, like stronger slow, no LoS breaks, etc. taking a third of a second longer to detach each chain, Etc. and making it so survivors actually have to do the box to prevent the chains of hate, not just hold it to get rid of the passive chains from their allies.
    Other than that, he looks great, sounds great. Fantastic animations. He’s just inches off being good enough.

    I played a few custom games with friends to check out his power and perks and I also played a public match as killer (only one because I had a ~40 minute queue) against survivors who were all pretty decent in chase.
    After that I agree with Scott: his chains are too weak, their slowdown is too short, you have to stand still to set up the portal and then hit the chain so if the survivor holds W you lose more distance than you gain on the survivor. My first thought on his chains were: "They are harder to hit than a Nurse blink and give you less value than a Clown bottle." But at least the cahins are interactive, unlike Clowns or Freddys slowdown. His box gives you a decent slowdown on gen speed, because it forces at least one survivor away from gens, but it is too much in control of the survivors. With a few tweaks though, he definitely has potential.
    His perks: Deadlock is ok, Hex: Plaything is trash, Scourge Hook: Gift Of Pain might be good.
    But "I came", so 10/10.

    His passives are incredibly good. He gets free gen slowdown via the chain hunt buildup, he gets free chase starts in the process, he also has extended vision due to his active.
    Even so, his active power only feels 'okay' to use. It has little to no reward for doing it. He may as well never use possessed chains for slowdown. He will perform just as good if not better for it.

    I have an idea to maybe fix that first part of his power:
    Hitting a chain will bind the survivor once with a stronger chain that won’t break when line of sight is blocked and will take way longer to break. It will lose durability quicker when that happens but but not break. After the chain snaps then 3 weaker chains will spawn over the period of 6 seconds and those will break on line of sight blocks.

    Hey Scott, I didn’t hear you mention that pinhead himself is also able to pick up the Lament Configuration (music box) and it lets him see all survivors on the map for a few seconds.
    Not super strong in my opinion, but the idea of the survivors and the killer both trying to find this item is a super cool concept in my opinion, and could be very fun and stressful if pinhead had a greater reason to find it.

    I’d like to point out something.
    There are 3 counters to someone holding the cube hostage:
    1: they don’t hear the terror radius. Obviously this isn’t a big thing, but it’s worth addressing for the camera inept
    2: chains automatically hunt the person with the box, non stop. The chains stop literally everything so it’s automatic slowdown all the time
    3: if the killer gets the down, a chain hunt starts anyway, so the effects of holding it would be wasted, and the killer might be able to go into a slug fest based on where the survivors are.
    So it’s honestly not worth holding onto.

    I think a good solution to the cube being held hostage is this:
    1. When a Survivor holds the cube, they scream every so often, revealing their location
    2. When the survivor with the cube is downed, the cube falls from their hands, and for the next 10 seconds, only Pinhead can pick it up
    This could add a risk/reward sort of deal to holding onto the cube, as you'll be targeted and potentially straight up give the cube to Pinhead, and since solving it basically guarantees you'll be targeted as well, it could add a dynamic of "do I want to pick up the cube or potentially let pinhead get it?"
    it could also work as bait, to divert the killer's attention from something to yourself
    obviously i should add, i am NOT a game designer, i have no idea if this is balanced or fun or anything

    Yeah, I also think he needs slight changes. He does less than Clown and it's more difficult to do that, so I'm pretty sure they will change him a bit.
    - His chains that spawn from active power should hold survivors more/it should be more difficult to get rid all 3 of them - it's difficult enough to hit them and you often enough lose enough distance, so I think buff here would be understandable, like I said - Clown does more in a much easier way, so maybe to get rid of the chains you have to hit two-three skill checks, like yellow glyph? Yeah, that might be too much, but at the same time - Pinhead still has to hit you and it's not as easy as Clown's and it still doesn't do actual damage
    - Lament Configuration - person who holds it for too long maybe will eventually lose health state? That would prevent people from holding Pinhead's power hostage; you do that, you die, if you decide to pick up the box - you must solve it
    I will play him, even though I don't play killer at all. He's one of my favorite horror 'villains'.

    I disagree. First of all he has a small amount of map pressure due to his chain hunt. His main ability is not supposed to be used to decrease the distance between you and the survivor. You need to use it at loops and you need to use it GOOD. Didn't we wait to form an opinion on a new killer when they get released to firstly see their full potential? I played him and if you use it well you can hit a survivor at almost every loop they go to. I won't put him on a tierlist just yet. I'll wait for people to learn him and learn to play against him but I wouldn't say he's a bad killer. I dont think that at all.

    The thing you need to realize is you can patrol gens while just having your main body at the middle of the map or on a hex you want to defend until you find somebody and yes he loops like clown around loops but he's a clown on crack. You can't use exhaustion whole chained and you can't fast vault pallets while chained unlike clown and if you let his chain meter go to max on you you're not gonna be able to do gens because random chains spawn to take you off the gen. If somebody does the box that's just a free chase if you haven't found somebody and if you teleport immediately the chain meter goes down by 1 mm. He's insanely strong you just don't see it yet

    I think it would be more cool if he could place the Gateway as he does now but instead choose when to use it. Like up to 2 Gateways out at once that he can immediately switch to. Like have a button for the Gateway placement and another for the Gateway usage. Like how demo can pick which portal to use. That way he could miss a chain and still have another chain to immediately use or just to make the survivor scared of being in the same zone as where the Gateway is placed to zone them out as Pinhead could corral the survivor into them. Maybe even make placed Gateway auto activate as an option if the survivor actually physically touches it as an added bonus. This way there is no time loss in switching.
    Or maybe even make the survivor completely stop moving if they get hit by his M2 Gateway chains twice in a row in quick succession. And all around make the switching faster.
    But it's BHVR so I guess number tweaking every slowly released patch is all we gonna get just like with the Shitser.

    Fix The Chain Bug
    Make it so that Simply picking up the box doesnt remove The Auto Chains, but rather solving the box begins to reduce the meter by a set rate comparable to how fast the Progress bar for solving the box.
    Increase the Slow by like 5%and i think he'd be fine; OR Increase the durability of the chain by .2s per chain

    I think he’s pretty balanced, he has a high skill ceiling that will make him really scary when people learn him like a nurse, slinger, etc. fun and unique power and at least BHVR listened to making a killer with map pressure and a slight advantage in chase which won’t be too annoying for survivors while also giving survivors something new to do. It seems like they’re listening at least and giving new objectives besides bones and gens. Idk I can see what Scott means but at least he isn’t op and extremely oppressive to the point where survivors will cry and get him nerfed he has room for improvement

    While I definitely agree that the skill-based portion needs some love, I personally think the passive portion is the much more interesting part of the power due to its effect on macro-strategy. The Chain Hunt is so unique in that it generates map-wide pressure, slowing down survivors on gens and giving them an alternative objective to accomplish, something that breaks the normal pacing of the game and makes it interesting! Changing it so that the Chain Hunt doesn't end until the Lament Configuration is solved would definitely make it more interesting as survivors have to figure out where it is and the best place to position themselves to solve it. If the devs don't want to do that, then they should probably make it a lot harder to actually find the box.
    As for the chains, I think simply increasing the time required to break them would do wonders, while still allowing you to use terrain to break them as part of counterplay. The chains are hard to hit & make you lose distance against holding W, so I don't think this is too oppressive. If it is, the devs can make it even harder to hit and thus worth the reward. That said...they need to rework Engineer's Fang, that shit is DISGUSTANG.

    My main issue is that the box disappears when you teleport. My impression was that you teleport to the survivor solving the box to contest them and maybe win the box for yourself, since Pinhead literally cannot see the box and it doesn't make any sound unless you're on top of it. Like if you down a survivor who holds the box chain hunt activated immediately so I've been teleporting to it every time rather than walk to it, not knowing the box disappears till I tested it in a KYF.

    He's like a combination of Deathslinger and Nemesis. Deathslinger because he is *theoretically* strong in the 1v1 but still trash, and Nemesis because his ability requires a time investment and still doesn't even damage the survivor. You just *can't* have a killer with no map pressure and an ability that doesn't deal damage, it just won't work. It's like if Victor just slowed the survivor down and that's all he did. When a killer can improve his time-to-kill by simply... *not* using his power? That's not good bro.

    Ive also had the idea of making his chains slow down survivors more the further they are from pinhead because it feels like you can't really use it from distance well even though if you count how far the chain goes and how far the gateway goes its like 40M, they should definitely start by making them not break because of LOS, then maybe add my idea, as well as that the addon that does a damage state if health should probably be nerfed somehow and should work in conjunction with the mending one.

    I dont get why Survivors get to see the box basically at all times while the killer doesnt get to see it at all. It basically means you cant protect it. Survivors can so easily find it and remove the good part of your power and the only thing you can do is teleport to said survivor which is decent but you still lose your power. Killer also barely gets any benefit for picking up the box besides getting to keep using his power for like half a minute more. The balance on that box is waaaay off.

      It's probably a nod towards the source material, which revolves around the victims(people) fighting over the box only to get stalked by pinhead and his friends.
      I do appreciate that they're trying to incorporate the lore into his mechanics, but we've all seen that BHVR isn't the best when it comes to translating aesthetics into actual balanced gameplay.

    They just gotta make so that his M2 is more like a guaranteed hit, because than be becomes nurse without map pressure but with slowdown, which is cool

    A cool add on idea or buff would be that you could chain multiple survivors so like if you hit one you can try to hit other nearby survivors if there close enough and the more u chain could add extra slow down because seeing two survivors and only being able to slowdown one (unlike clown who uses AOE) is so unsatisfying x.x

    What if they made it so that if you hook someone close to a fallen pallet, window or gen , the chains binds to the object and gets a firmer grip of the survivor, taking longer to break away from.
    That way it can be a good chase "net gainer".

    I would reduce the "Blink", increase the chain range AND duration/slow. It would require more skill from the killer, but reward him more for landing the chains..
    I actually thought the killer would be exactly like this, but without the blink thing.

    To me, he just seems like a bit of a weaker freddy. His power I would say is mainly anti loop (same as freddy) and he has a teleport but freddy has a better teleport because you can use it more often and have more freedom of where to go. Pinhead is dependant on the survivors to teleport; if they don’t (for whatever reason) use the box, you don’t have part of your power. Also Freddy’s slowdown is easier to use than pinheads slowdown (chains are harder to steer and hit survivors than placing a snare). Tbh idrk why you would play him over freddy

      If they don't use the box, you get the strongest part of your power chain hunt, the teleport it's a niche thing

    honestly i feel like pin head should get a speed boost when he hits a survivor with his possessed chain. maybe for like 4 or 5 seconds. and i think they should make it harder to break the chains in general ( which is a no brainer).

    I agree that he needs a buff to his chase power, but you're playing him completely wrong In those clips. You will never miss and lose less distance if you place your gateway directly underneath the survivors. Try that and see how the distance works out.
    On the topic of his puzzle box, I think it's good functioning as passive game delay. A survivor has to waste 20 seconds or so to open the puzzle box, and If they don't open it, they can barely do gens at all.
    And that's assuming that it's a swf team that won't have multiple people trying to open the box.

    I have played 6 games so far as Pinhead, and not once have I ever gotten to pick up my box, nor have I ever had the chain hunt thing start because survivors always found the box before I did

    I think if they remove the Box aura, and made it more of an egg hunt thing for both sides to get an advantage, I think that'd be dope.
    I also think light of sight breaking should be like Slinger in that it takes a sec, and the chains themselves should take longer to break. I think both of those changes would make him super fun to play, and play against.
    It might also be cool if the further you put a portal, the longer the chains took to break, that way you could really keep tabs on an area, and interrupt survivors from doing stuff for a significant amount of time.
    Idk, his power is super dope in concept, I'm excited to see how they beef it up. (If they do at all)
