I used to know a guy who hit with agassi back in the early 90s...he was a top junior and agassi wanted to hit with a left hander...he told me they hit for 2 hours and he could count on 1 hand the amount to balls agassi missed...he said it was amazing ...and how clean agassi was hitting the ball also blew his mind

Yes, I trained with him in 1985 and he didn’t miss on that side. Then he started hitting harder too afterwards…best two hander in my humble opinion

Dude... I've studied Andre's backhand for years and you couldn't be further off the mark if you tried. Pause Agassi and Novak's bh precisely at contact.... Novak has a bent right elbow/flexed wrist and Agassi's is straight. This suggest a completely different feel for both players. Novak's bh is no where as whippy as Agassi's. It's more of a slow push rather than a snappy whip. The way agassi leans during the shot is more like a baseball swing... whereas Novak stays relatively upright and neutral.... showing how Agassi's bh has better fundamentals in terms of kinetic chain. The fact that Andre uses straight right arm.... suggests that he feels the grip press against his thumb/palm.... more like a one hander (and this is supported by the fact that Andre has said many times that he feels the backhand as though he is hitting it with the back of his right hand.... like a one hander). Even both players take back is a bit different.... Agassi takes back with a straighter right arm knowing that he is gonna pull from the hip.... whereas Novak's right arm is bent even during the take back... because he knows he is gonna impact with a bent elbow and doesn't leverage the hip like Agassi does with his baseball-like pull. I don't want to be impolite... but please do not misguide ppl on the one and only legendary backhand that NO OTHER players on earth has been able to successfully copy.

completely agree with you! Also studied it for years...There's also a main difference in the way hips are positioned at contact. Agassi's are almost parallel to the baseline (which increase the whip effect you mention) while Djokovic's are at a 45 degree angle.

The footwork to rotate the hip and shoulder through the shot is what set Agassi apart. Nole doesn't diagonalise his front right foot before hitting the ball.

AA’s bh is completely different from Djokovic. If you call anyone use double hand backhanded similar, then everyone is similar….
The clip is useful but the analysis is childish.

The best: Quick, sharp, deep and so beautiful executed.
NO1E is great but AGASS1 is beyond

The Agassi backhand uses both hands equally maybe the right hand fractionally more. Djokovic and modern double handers use the left hand for the power and whip.

Lmao. He said this is the "Djokovic setup". Agassi used the Djokovic setup even before Djokovic arrived on the scene 😂😅😂😅

Really not that in deep of an analysis on these vids (basically just stating obvious visual things, in an authoritative tone). Click bait titles don't work for true tennis heads, unsub
