3E0X1 is the way to go.
Haha Ops is pretty solid too
Hey thanks for posting a video regarding this job! I’m prior service heading into the AF and this is one of the jobs available on the prior service list (not a lot) you answered a lot of my questions. I did have a few more questions if I can message you?
Absolutely, message me on Instagram in my link tree and I'll answer whatever you ask!
Love the information Teel! Thank you for explaining what you do, and it's a very interesting job.
Absolutely! Thank you for taking an interest in it!
@@tigerteel it's a awesome path that you took. good luck and thanks again!
You’re amazing !
No way, you’re amazing!
Thank you for your service and still say you guys need some Navy lol. Stay safe!
😂😂😂 maybe we will find a Navy gent to join us 😂😂😂
@@tigerteel I’m just busting your chops lol. You guys are great and fine as you are.
Thank you for sharing information on the career field! I am WAPs testing this week. Do you have any advice on the SKT portion of the test? I am also a 3E5X1 stationed over at RAF Lakenheath and would appreciate any advice you have!
I’m straight reserves so unfortunately I have no information about the WAPs test, all I can say is study your butt off and think too long to be wrong from what I’ve heard and experienced with every AF test I’ve seen
Where did you go to tech school? Are there multiple bases for 3E5 tech school? I ship out to BMT on March 12th 🫡 Thankyou for this video. Not a lot of content on our job
Tech School is only at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri now. That’s awesome congratulations on joining!! Welcome to the family! I’ll probably do more videos on our job later 💪🏼
Hello I’m in the Air Force and this is one of the jobs I’m putting on my list. Do u know if full time Air Force job duties for engineering differ from those in reserves?
They do not differ aside from how often you do it!
Great question!
Thank you for the information sir. i plan on retraining into any CE afsc and am interested in this job. does job transfer well into the civilian side? would I be able to apply and get accepted to a management position after retiring?
Absolutely! I am currently in a GS-11 position of the exact same career field as I am in the AF Reserves. I have also been an Engineer in the private sector as well, definitely a lot of skills that transfer outside and is a good thing for a resume for management positions
oh wow thats a sweet gig. what's the process for going that route? would you say you got lucky with getting that position or is that something that anyone can do?@@tigerteel
Thanks for sharing!!
Currently in the army and I am 12 months out to ETS, I am over with the army bs. I am looking to transfer to the Air Force, or should I say Air National Guard/ Reserves and I’d been looking to do this job as well. I am stationed in El Paso, TX and honestly we want to stay here. Close bases that I can pick to be close from here ? Trying to do air guard or reserves because I am in the process of join Customs and Border Protection as well.
Any info or tips will be really helpful.. thank you very much!
Hello if you can answer this as soon as possible I saw 3E531 and the qualifications says you don’t a degree but for the 3E5x1 you do what is the difference?
So neither need a degree, 3E531 is just a skill level you get after the completion of BMT and Tech School, 3E5x1 is where “x” is just a placeholder for the skill level for 3E5 in General
@@tigerteel gotcha thanks mane because when I saw the civil engineering it said I need a degree I’m only 18 and I’m really good at construction so do you think this MOS can benefit me in the long run such as working for a construction company?
hey man another question if you can answer as soon as possible is the tech school hard and are the passing rates low?
It’s as hard as you make it, as long as you pay attention it isn’t bad at all, lots of math since it is an engineering career field
what is the difference between "3E5X1" and "3E531"?
X is just a placeholder for the skill level meaning anywhere from 3E531 to 3E591, 3E531 is someone fresh out of Tech School and is in upgrade training to get their 5 level aka 3E551, I’m a 7 level after completing another upgrade training so my AFSC is 3E571 then once you become a Chief Master Sergeant you can become a 9 level 3E591. I hope this helped!
@@tigerteel thanks, do you know if this is a high demand job?
